Amazing location, one block back from the Promenade and close to everything. Rooms are rather small, but clean. The bathroom is comfortable and the shower has powerful water pressure. The breakfast had a nice selection and the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel is close to the Old Town and opposite the beach so cafes and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Overall, we are very happy with this hotel and would 100% recommend!

The hotel is well located, very close to the beach, to the Old Town and Place Masséna. Despite the good location we felt it was overpriced considering the level of service and lack of attention to details. Staff was friendly, helped us with the taxis but not all of them were prepared to solve problems or answer questions about our bill. We had a Superior Garden View room, it was nice, but the bed wasn’t that comfy (we could feel one spring sticking through the mattress) and they forgot to leave a laundry bag (even after asking for one) or telling us we should bring the laundry to reception if we wanted it done. A/C and wifi were good, we didn’t have breakfast at the hotel so we can’t tell. We had a good time, we enjoyed the location, but for the price we expected better.

We stayed in this hotel for one night before our flight home and it was perfect. The hotel is situated in a fabulous location, ideal for exploring the old town and only a 20 mins taxi ride to the airport. We chose a room with a balcony which overlooks the park and sea and the view was beautiful. The balcony is small but there is enough space to enjoy a glass of wine watching the sun go down. The room itself was clean but the decor a little tired however, the bathroom was immaculate. We had a taxi to the airport which was expensive but the location of the hotel was well worth it. I would totally recommend this hotel but treat yourself and have a balcony, the views are stunning.

The hotel is in a fabulous location - a few hundred yards from the promenade and the sea; and a short walk from the old town alleys and shops.
The staff are so helpful - nothing is too much and often sorted before you have returned to your room from asking!
Beds are very comfortable and electric shutters keep much of the street noise and light out. Bathrooms are clean and modern.
Breakfast is good. Everywhere clean. I would highly recommend this hotel and would happily go back again.

The entrance was full with people checking out when we arrived. It doesn't take much for the entrance to get full because it is so small. They have a wheelchair button on the outside which is a joke because the ramp is out of order. My elderly mother with a walker had to climb the 4 steps every day and no one at the desk ever offered to help with our luggage. They take an authorization of your credit card for the full amount when you check in. You can change form of payment later. When we got to our room on the fifth floor, a privilege sea view twin with shower, I could think of two things. Shabby and disappointed. There was a hole in the bathroom door like someone had pushed something against it too hard. The paint was peeling off on the doors. We got 2 bath towels, a bath mat and one hand towel. Next day I put a sign on the one hand towel asking for a second one. The bathroom was clean. There is no shampoo/conditioner just soap. The beds were rock hard and my back was hurting every morning we got up. The carpet was stained. The safe was broken and the minibar had two bottles of water. There were about 7 hangers for 2 people so not nearly enough. The view was very nice but balcony was minuscule and opened onto the main road so was a bit noisy. The best thing about this hotel has to be the location. You are right on the border of the downtown(for shopping) and old town for dining and the flower market and sightseeing. The hop/on/hop/off bus stops right outside and the receptionist booked a trip to Monaco/Eze one afternoon for me. She was very kind. Another thing. If you don't speak French there will be nothing to watch on TV for you because they don't buy cable in other languages. I would book a different hotel in this area next time I go. This is overpriced and shabby. The breakfast room has orange juice and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants, tea, a coffee machine that dispenses all types of coffees, fruit salad and dried fruits and cereals for 17 euro/day. The lady that ran it alone was wonderful but they should have someone helping her.

Location terrific and that's it. The carpet was dirty and I did not want to go barefoot. The shower door was off it's track and flooded bathroom floor Wifi was a joke when it was on - half the time it shut down. Asked for the english channel on tv and was told "We are French why would we have English channels?"
Went to the breakfast room for a cup of coffee and danish and was charged for a full breakfast. I went to front desk and she said if you eat or drink anything we charge you a full breakfast. I know it is only a 3 Star hotel but I expected CLEAN..Go somewhere else.

We had a pleasant week-long stay at Albert 1er. We used it as our base to explore all the quaint cities of the Côte d’Azur. I would have given it 4 stars except for the security of the hotel, which we felt needed improvement, as well as the noise levels inside the hotel.

On several occasions as we were coming and going, we noticed the front desk was unattended, allowing anyone off the street to gain access to the guest-only areas of hotel. Both the elevator and stairway are very close to the front door as the entrance is really just a hallway and there is no formal lobby. The stairs and elevator are open and unsecured (no card to swipe or key required for access), so once someone enters the front door, it’s just a dozen steps or so into the guest-only area the hotel. This lack of security made us uncomfortable during our stay.

Our room was comfortable and clean although the walls are thin and some noise could be heard from other guest rooms as well as the housekeeping staff in the halls who were quite loud as they made their daily rounds.

Otherwise, the location is very good, walkable to the Promenade des Anglais, the tram stop in Place de Massena, and all the restaurants and outdoor market of Vieux Nice.

This not a reputable hotel. They have a misleading cancellation policy and would not honor the plain English language of their cancellation policy. The cancellation policy says that the multi room booking is subject to a specific fee then said following attempt to cancel that they apply it to each room (keeping 100 percent of the money) even though those words are. Not in the cancellation policy. Do not get tricked. Choose a different one of the beautiful hotels in Nice.

Sadly the hotel is way too basic and worn out. The rooms are extremely small, I mean extremely! On their webpage they offer rooms with different views and also some with balcony and also some with view. The entrance is tiny, there is not really a reception area, just a tiny table of probably 60cmx50cm. The staff are very friendly. I sadly felt ripped off. Paid a fortune for a 2 star accommodation. Breakfast is good.

On the edge of the Promenade and the Old Town, overlooking the gardens, this hotel is ideally suited for exploring Nice. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room, although small, was perfectly clean and well-equipped. Nice to have a fridge and complementary water every day. Air con good too. Not sure how peaceful it is when there are concerts in the park but nice and quiet when we stayed.

If you are coming from T2 then ground floor, out the door, and bus stops are just to your right. I think bus 98 is about 3 or 4 along.

Hey D Funk, Leave the phone in the bag! Forget the charger and enjoy Europe. Besides, unless you have a great plan you will be paying a hefty fee per minute.

I do not remember a coffee maker - there was a fridge and iron and ironing board. Make sure you ask for a room over looking the ocean and away from the nightclub in the roof of the building across the road. Although you can't hear the noise with the balcony doors closed it made sitting outside impossible - enjoy your stay
