We enhanced our cleaning and safety procedures as part of the "CQ Certified Safe & Clean Program". Next to the iconic dome-shaped St. Paul's Cathedral and located in the courtyard of the historic Stationer's Hall, this CQ location sets its modern accommodations against the 800-year history of the City of London area. Close to many businesses as well as the Museum of London, Tate Modern, and the Millennium Bridge, guests of all itineraries will be pleased to find the city's sights just steps away. As the Brits say: brilliant.

Club Quarters Hotel St. Paul's in London receives mixed feedback from its visitors. While its central location by St.
Paul's Cathedral is praised for convenience, guests have called out the small and often outdated rooms, with some experiencing maintenance and cleanliness issues. Despite some rooms boasting fresh updates, the hotel's atmosphere is dampened by noise disturbances and inconsistent housekeeping. Service quality varies, and many guests feel the hotel does not provide good value, pointing to unexpected charges and outdated amenities.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel is situated just down from Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, St Paul’s Cathedral with close access to the rail (City Thameslink, Blackfriars and Cannon Street) and tube (Farringdon, St. Paul’s, Blackfriars and Cannon Street) networks. The room was spacious and clean with a small bathroom (shower only; no bath). Only criticism was the location of the bed which was too close to the windows to allow for easy access from both sides.

We LOVED staying at Club Quarters St. Paul's. Thinking perhaps we'd chosen a budget hotel, as it was affordable, we were so pleased at its cleanliness, amenities, kindness of staff, lovely lounge and fireplace, proximity to excellent restaurants, pubs, and fun shops, and best of all the peeling bells of St. Paul's, which were never loud enough to disturb, but stepping outside, filled the neighborhood with beautiful sound! Also-City Thameslink (this stop closed on Sunday, go around the corner and down a bit to Blackfriar's) just steps away and bus stops, too (#15 to Tower of London direct!). Appreciated the microwave and fridge. Loved it! Will absolutely be back.

We stayed here for one night in December and overall had a nice stay.
Initially the hotel made a miskate by giving us the wrong room ( a small Double) however this was quickly resolved and we were given the correct room once the mistake was realsied.
Apart from that no problems at all. The room was very nice, staff were helpful and made us very welcome .In the evening it was so quiet too and we had a fantastic nights sleep!
We did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on the food.
Although you are literally next door to St Pauls Cathedral and there are numerous cafe, bars and restaurants around you to choose from. The walk along the Strand to central london Trafalgar Square takes about 25 mins or you can just get the tube/underground from outside St Pauls Cathedral.

Unfortunately my stay at this hotel was a very poor experience.
Because this was a business trip I was booking late. Only a suite room was available which was more expensive.
I stayed 2 nights.
Firstly the climate control did not work, and the room was about 25-27 degrees C all evening / night. The recommendation from hotel staff who visited the room to check it out was to turn it off.
Secondly, on thd first morning there was no hot water in either the wash basin or shower.
Thirdly, the stopper in the wash basin did not work.
While the individuals on reception were very nice and I was moved to a different room for my second night (which was passable), I expected the minimum of a comfortable stay with at least the basic facilities like hot water to wash for the price of the room.
I was also given a voucher for a free breakfast at the hotel but due to my experience I didn't feel comfortable using it.
In general the rooms and facilities felt old and dated.
Lastly, when I checked out I was told a manager from the hotel would contact me the followinf Monday regarding the issues I raised and to agree what should be paid. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any correspondence from the hotel and I had to ring back twice, at my own expense, to check if I was going to be charged. In the end the hotel did not charge me anything.
However, when going away for business, you really need a reasonably comfortable place to stay and sleep/rest, with at least the basic facilities like hot water to wash, in order to be ready for a days work.
Based on this experience I cannot see myself using Club Quarters hotels in the future.

The location is very good. The hotel is perfectly fine... i.e. it is clean but it cannot pretend to be 4 star.
I was in an upgraded bedroom so the size was very good but the style, decor and finish is very basic.
The hotel room is comparable to Travelodge with functional but very basic bathrooms, very small TV, and everything is done economically... Paper cups for the tea and coffee metal doors and white light.
In my view Premier Inn is more comfortable and always at lower rate. There are many other true four star hotels in the area and I would recommend one of those.

This was my first stay at any Club Quarters hotel. My friend had already checked in to our room when I arrived. There was only one person working the front desk and unfortunately he was on the phone. My friend came down to get me before he was available.
We had a room with an extra sofa and tv in the back by the window. It was hard to figure out how to open the window but when you call, they help you out.
The room was long. When you first open the door, the bedroom is immediately there. The next room in is the table on the right with the bathroom on the left. And in the back, there is a refrigerator and microwave on the right and the extra seating area by the window on the left. There was a huge hole in the wall behind the refrigerator, but purposeful for the refrigerator's wiring.
It was kind of challenging to get the air flowing through the room and it didn't help that it was kind of humid and warm throughout the day outside.
The faucet in the bathroom leaked the entire time. You had to twist it all the way to the right to get it to stop. It wasn't noisy or disturbing, only a waste of water. You have to slam the room door (not slam but close it purposefully) to make sure it closes all the way.
I appreciated that there were water bottles and water available on the floor and a coffee machine downstairs. The staff that I did encounter was friendly and helpful.

I'm a platinum member at Marriott, and I thought Club Quarters would be somewhat comparable given the price point, but that was not the case. The service at check-in was just terrible. I didn't even feel welcomed. No smile, no initiative to offer extra information about the hotel or the surrounding area. It was so transactional. He took my credit card, chipped it in for the deposit, and sent me on my way. When I asked for wifi and breakfast, he looked so impatient, I didn't feel like asking him anything else. CQ really needs to work on the staff service.
Then when I got to my room, I realize I was given an accessible room when I clearly didn't need it. The bathroom floor floods after taking a shower (yes, I had the curtain closed) because the accessible shower was poorly designed. The climate control system was broken so the room was freaking hot at 31 degrees.
I feel like the quality I got for the price I paid was not up to par. I would not recommend Club Quarters to anyone else.

The welcome at reception from Richard and Pilac was very friendly and helpful. Everything about the stay was exceptional with some highlights. The Cote restaurant adjoining the hotel was also first class with an excellent set price menu and delicious food at a very reasonable price. The bedroom was large and very comfortable with lovely bed sheets. The bathroom was large, immaculate and I loved the toiletries. It was the best London hotel I have stayed at for business and I will always go there in future.

Bathroom needs to be renewed (the shower is equipped with an unhygienic curtain). The position is perfect and really close to subway. The view from the room was in front of St Paul’s Cathedral, really nice!

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting London.
Rooms were basic but clean and spacious - a rarity in London.
However, we did not get housekeeping at all during our stay. We had to ask for towels when we arrived as there was only enough for one person. We then had to ask for fresh ones before our last night.
There was a cupboard on each door where you could get extra toiletries, a water and bottle dispenser on each floor and a coffee machine on ground door. These were all welcomed.
The walls are quite thin tho. We had a neighbour on our last night who spent the whole time in his room on his phone (loudly) or banging the cupboard door.
Hotel was central and close to underground and Thames Clipper stops.

Sorry, I couldn't possibly answer this question. It sounds like you need to talk to Club Quarters directly.
you have to ask for one.
I am not sure about that. However there are many dining establishments within walking distance.
Hi
I did the same journey as you...I drove to Loughton / taxi ? and got on the Central Line to St Paul’s ...or you can take the Standstead Express to London both as good.
We ate at a few on the street. The French restaurant in the hotel was one of the better ones. Blackfriars was good too and there are a lot of good ones in the square to the left of St. Paul's
