Just spent 6 nights at West Lake Willows in a cottage - had a wonderful time seeing the Prince Edward County and the Sandbanks. Thank you Scott and you entire team! Everyone was very friendly, the cottage was clean and they always made sure things were going well! An amazing place and will definitely recommend to others - might just become an annual getaway! Always great when the staff of the business make you feel at home!

My husband and I both have been coming to The Sandbanks since we were kids and thought we pretty much knew all the places, when we came across this campground after we purchased our fifth wheel.
From the moment we pulled in we knew we had found our dream spot.
The beach is beautiful with a view overlooking the Sandbanks, which at night gives a sunset that will never disappoint, the beach area is perfect for small children along with older people.
They have great docks for boats and you can also book fishing tours.
The washrooms and showers are exceptionally clean and nicely done.
The owner lives right on site so always available if emergency should arise.
They also have beautiful cottages available for rent.
The cottages come in a variety of sizes for all families and come with complete set up.
Really our pics say everything you need to know.

Our family has been travelling to Sandbanks Ontario now for the last 7 years or so. We routinely stay at Westlake Willows, and have our place booked usually a year in advance. We have made many friends on our trips, and some of the regulars that stay at the resort we have become friends with as well. The resort is wonderful, and the my kids who are 18 and 16, love to go there. As one other person commented... the electronics go to the side and regular fun happens daily....even in the rain. There is a ton to do at the resort and in the area for sure. The beaches are wonderful and you don't have to take a long flight to heaven. Scott at Westlake Willows always attends to every request, and ensures your stay is a great one. The units are clean, well kept, and never a disapointment. The grounds are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this resort and visiting at Sandbanks for everyone...... Love the place, people are beautiful, and lots of wine country to visit as well, which is an extra bonus. Bloomfield, Wellington, and Picton are great visits and only a short drive too see. There are a lot of extra places to visit as well for entertainment for the kids. My son tried the seadoo out this year with my daughter and a friend, they had a riot. Highly recomment this place and the area...for sure, will not be disappointed. Cheers Pat....

We have stayed here twice. Once last September for a weekend and this year for a week. The first one was a trailer close to the water and another was a small cottage that was spacious for 2 Adults. I would say it would be good for a small family as well. It is situated within walking distance off the Dunes and a short driving distance to the outlet. The trailer was clean, it has satellite TV for any rainy days. The kitchen was well stocked. The staff is friendly and cleared a few minor issues very quickly. There are boat rentals available. We were in Cottage 4

We have been going to Sandbanks since 2000 and to West Lake Willows (WLW) since 2002. The cottages are clean, comfortable and have a spectacular view of the Dunes. We love watching the sunset over the Dunes while we eat dinner and then enjoy a campfire afterwards. Service from the Walcott’s is great - they are always helpful and available to lend a hand. They are open to suggestions too. The beaches are sandy and beautiful. The water is clean. WLW is right beside the Dunes beach and just minutes away from the other 2 beaches. The towns of Picton and Belleville are not far away and if you like to keep busy, there are lots to do around town - shop, visit wineries, cheese factory, etc. We love the beach and golf. West Lake Willows is a must visit and you won't regret it. We plan to go for years. Thanks to the Walcott’s for having this great spot available for us.

Went to West Lake Willows weekend of July 1-4th (Happy Canada Day!!) for a quick family vacation away. Recommended to us by friends, we agreed to go. Not sorry we did. From the extremely friendly family-oriented owners (Scott and Sophie Walcott) to the neighbors in their cozy trailers, the experience was amazing. The SANDBANKS were a quick 10-15 min walk, depending on how far up the sandbanks you wanted to go. There are boat rentals available (canoe, paddleboat, kayak) through the office - they provide you with life jackets, so no hassles. There is a small playground on the grounds that is well maintained.

Our unit was a cottage, which is actually a trailer - but it was large enough for 5 of us. There was an upstairs loft for the kids to sleep, plenty of room in the family room. Adequate kitchen, with all utensils, dishes, etc. Tons of cupboard space. Our bedroom had a queen bed - plenty big, with 3 more mattresses upstairs for the kids.

The views right off the back window or deck were fantastic. You could see the SANDBANKS and West Lake right from your window. Go on the deck and feel the breeze - it was sweet. Or take 20 steps and you're in the water. Literally. Every neighbor we walked by was very friendly - it's a very friendly place and our kids had tons of fun. Just had a great time. Can't wait to go back!

We enjoyed our first wedding anniversary here and it was absolutely fantastic. We stayed in cottage 3, and it was very clean, well looked after, and luxurious. It was only the two of us, but it would be perfect to bring the kids out to. Very short walk to Sandbanks dunes beach. I would definitely come back.

Such an accommodating place to stay!
We were immediately greeted by one of the members of this family run business. The primary concern was to help get us settled and get our keys for the cottage we rented. Once at the cottage we had a small hiccup with the propane being turned off which was immediately fixed by staff. The fishing was decent we caught quite a bit of pan fish that kept us interested all day. We ended up keeping two walleyes (2.5 and 4.5 lbs).
When our trip ended we approached the office to make payment and Scott handsomely fixed our bill for the hiccup with the propane.
There is great reason why this place is rated so positively. Great people run it and it's a great location.
Enjoy. I hope to be back soon.

We've just booked our 3rd year and I've been meaning to write this review for a few years now. The beautiful cabins just a stone's throw from the water are a perfect mix of camping/cabin vacation. The panoramic views from the trailers, gorgeous sunsets and proximity to possibly Canada's most beautiful beaches could occupy this entire review. But I will recommend this campground because as a parent it is hard to find a great family vacation spot sight unseen. Well I found one. Our kids 10,8,5, & 3yrs love fishing off the docks, the gradual swimming area right on site (perfect for little ones or just the quick dip before supper), the play park, and the ice cream shop & candy store. We enjoy bar-b-q-ing on the large deck, having campfires with marshmallows before bed with the convenience of a full bath (to wash off dirty, sandy kids before sleep) and a full kitchen so I can be swimming with my kids and not worrying about the next meal. The campsite is safe and small enough that I feel comfortable allowing my older kids to bike to the park on their own. The owners and staff go out of their way to make our stay comfortable and fun for the whole family. The kids are counting down the days till we go this year.

The cottage was great for a family of 4 (two kids 3 & 5), close to the dunes. First time at West Lake Willows, but we have rented places for the last 14 yrs in the area. The cottage and the lot were very clean, campground was quiet. I will definitely go there again and will recommend this place to friends.
