Alua Soul Ibiza is celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere and prime location, with easy access to beaches and nightlife. While the hotel's various pools and dining options are popular among guests, some feel that the value for money falls short, noting the food and drink quality could be better and there are additional costs. The rooms, praised for their views, also draw attention for privacy concerns and inconsistent noise levels. Cleanliness is generally good, though some travelers have pointed out areas needing attention. Despite occasional service hiccups, the staff often receives compliments for their professionalism.

We have just returned from a week away at this Hotel. The location is perfect, close to the ferry terminal, bus stops and taxi ranks for trips to other towns. The buses arrive on time but only take cash currently. There are lots of shops and restaurants and the beach is sandy and clean. The sea is lovely to swim in and the loungers are reasonably priced. Our room was basic with no mini bar, coffee making facilities or iron but was clean and neat and a decent size. The balcony was great and there was plenty of hot water. The shower had a bit of a limescale problem. It helps if you know the person you are sharing with quite well as the bathroom is open plan. There are doors to the shower and WC but the sink and shelves for products is used as a divide from the main room so its very open. There was no bath in our room. We opted to upgrade to all inclusive and having been caught out before specifically asked if this covered ALL alcoholic drinks, cocktails and soft drinks and the reception staff said yes. Unfortunately this turned out not to be the case as premium spirits and beer, some cocktails and branded water are not included. You are permitted one gin, vodka and whisky but make sure you ask for this. For instance if I asked for a gin and tonic I would get the horrible local stuff but if I asked for a "Gordons" gin and tonic then I got the Gordons gin. I only realised this after day 3. As there are no coffee making facilities in the room I asked we if could get a coffee in the morning and take it to our room. Reception staff said a big fat "No" so we took turns to walk a minute up the road and get a takeaway coffee each morning. A bit mean of the Hotel not to allow this. We did not use the pool however the pools looked clean and the water was warm. You will get the usual bagging of sun beds at the crack of dawn but when we were there we found plenty to go around. The usual Covid procedures are all in place. The spa was shut (understandably) and they are manic about mask wearing in the restaurant, reception areas and bars and will point at you and raise their voices if you are not wearing one! We were very impressed by the buffet. Everything was fresh and frequently replaced. Lots of choice and as I vegetarian I was pleased to see lots of options. You can eat outside or inside and the service is also very good. This was well above average. The wifi was free and was excellent being available throughout the Hotel and outside areas. The evening entertainment by the pool was also very good with some real talent showcasing. We would return to this hotel as the location is so good.

Aluasoul Ibiza

26th July- 5th August.

Let’s just get the negatives out the way. This isn’t a 4* hotel, food is basic, repetitive, and not to the standard of a 4*, we’re not fussy eaters may I add. We paid for all inclusive and ended up going out to eat most days, which defeats the all inclusive. The beds are rock hard, we didn’t have a decent sleep all holiday, it’s also very noisy, we stayed in room 2231, limited sea view which was a positive. The air con, lights, and tv went off in the room after about 15 minutes which was annoying as we had to keep getting out of bed and walk towards to the door for it to come back on, no good at night when it’s hot and stuffy. The shower leaked all over the place.

Now to some positives.

The staff were amazing can’t fault any of them, bar staff were always lovely, the entertainment guy (I’m rubbish with names) he was class, his DJ sets were spot on and got everyone in the spirit. I would say, I believe he should be on longer, sometimes just seems too quiet around the pool. Everyone was shouting and screaming and clapping for him to keep playing on, which he did. The hotel itself is very well maintained, it’s spotless. With all this covid stuff we didn’t feel worried at all, there was always antibacterial everywhere. The lifeguard also goes around anti-backing everything, he was a sound guy too, he sorts your towels out for you. Which is €10 deposit PP then you’ll get that back. The main positive, was there was NO kids, perfect!

To summarise there are things that could be better, but that’s the same as anywhere, personally myself I wouldn’t return, but spoke to people who’ve been going for 13 years.

I had emailed the hotel a week before our arrival mentioning it was our honeymoon but received no response from the hotel. There was always something to eat at breakfast, lunch or dinner and the people who complain about the food must be really fussy eaters. The superior room was nice and the maids did a great job as the room was always welcoming upon our return. I think one small bottle of water for a double room is not adequate for an all inclusive when you can’t drink the tap water, on arrival there were two, we ended up buying bottles of water from the shops nearby as it was cheaper than the hotel, alternatively take a water bottle with you and they will fill it up at the bar (isn’t hindsight wonderful) I would have given 3.5 star and possibly covid has tainted the hotel a little as there was little to no atmosphere. Sara was brilliant when we arrived, it took a while to get checked in but she came and introduced herself and offered a welcome drink. I think with a little work this could be a brilliant hotel. Pool area is really nice and never had trouble getting a sunbed despite the 7 o’clock towel slingers, getting to the pool at 10 there were plenty of beds remaining.

My friend and I ended up here on three days notice after our hotel in Greece was cancelled. We were SO impressed with this place - after 18 months of being stuck in England it was exactly what we needed.

Our room overlooked the pool, and the entire hotel was fresh and modern. There was always space by the spotless pool, and the food was plentiful and delicious (although the bacon and sausage in the morning wasn't up to English standards but I'll let that slide).

There was entertainment most nights, and to be honest we hardly left the hotel and we weren't mad about it. The location wasn't great, so if you want to explore Ibiza be prepared to pay for expensive taxis (about €30 from Ibiza Town). But, if you want to lay down for a week in the sun and have no worries, this place is for you.

Fantastic hotel. We arrived very late and the hotel had left a cold buffet out for us so we could eat before going to bed. Rooms are clean and fresh bottles of water and tea and coffee is refilled daily. We initially came half board however was only an extra 23 euros a day to upgrade to all inclusive which felt worth it for a few drinks and lunch. The food in the restaurant has a good selection with a pizza/pasta station, grilled meat/fish and lots of salad and sides. Staff are helpful and professional too. We were given a double room instead of a twin and they swapped us room with no issue. During the day there’s stretching and water aerobics which is definitely worth trying even just for the laughs. Cristina provides all the classes and makes it very inclusive and fun for all. Would definitely stay here again. Location wise it’s so easy to get around the island and there’s a main bus stop, taxi rank and ferry terminal all within 5 minute walk.

We are currently staying at this wonderful hotel which is directly opposite the beach with lots of shops in the area, all within walking distance. We have a superior room overlooking the pools which is lovely and spacious, air con is great, the open plan bathroom doesn’t bother us. The room is stocked with bottles of water each day, there is a small fridge to keep them cool. Lovely room cleaners, always smile and acknowledge us.
The food is very very good, lots of varieties for everyone, they have joints of meat on nearly every night, lots of fish which is lovely plus themed evenings.
The pool area is nice, lots of sun beds available, there is an area dedicated to superior room holiday makers but haven’t used it as it the furthest away from the toilets, bar etc plus anyone can use it so it’s not really an asset.
Only a couple of niggles, we are not big drinkers but my partner loves a mojito and dismayed to find that it’s not included in the all inclusive package, you have to pay for it if you want one along with some other drinks, I’ve never been to hotel all inclusive where you have to pay for certain drinks which we have refused to do and gone without mojitos.
The other gripe is lack of evening entertainment, there is no atmosphere and a bit boring just sitting on the terrace, they do have singers which is inside, but it’s too hot to sit in there, it would be nice if the singers were outside instead. There is a bar directly outside called Charlie’s which is lively and has entertainment but not been in there.
Excursion wise there is lots to do, there is a road train which you get outside the hotel, it’s a 3 hour trip, we loved it, you get to see a bit of Ibiza off the beaten track visiting various beaches getting the chance to have a dip etc. That is 10.30-1.30 then there is an afternoon one on a different route from 3.30-6.30 which we’ve yet to do. The 1 hour boat trip was pleasant enough, all just across the road. There is a daily ferry too but haven’t done that one.
This is a lovely hotel and we would most definitely return.

Before our stay I had read a number of negative reviews but I can honestly say from the minute we walked into the hotel I felt I had checked in somewhere totally different! All the staff were really welcoming and ready to help with any question I had. I would like to give a special mention to Rosi who was always there to greet you at the restaurant door with a personal welcome and smile.
We stayed on a half board package with EasyJet and then paid €4.50 a day for unlimited wine and beer with dinner. We felt this was good value and the food was excellent. I’m a bit of a health food fanatic and there was always plenty of choice, especially fresh fish and great salads.
I’d been stressing out about how to get an antigen test for our return flight but it was easy to book on line for €30 and they come to the hotel to do it.
The evening entertainment was mixed, I think it was aimed at an older clientele which we fit into but would have preferred something more modern like the music that was played around the pool on some days.
We never had a problem getting a sun-bed but preferred to spend most of our days on the beach. The local beach is ok but if you walk to the far corner, follow the paved path then climb across a few rocks, you come to Cala Nova beach which is really beautiful.
My negatives about the hotel would be that the pool is only open 10-6 and would prefer it to be open longer. The grass area is reserved for the suite rooms so was empty most of the time. I had to ask for a kettle for our room and they didn’t replace the toiletries so we had to keep asking the maids. There is also a strong sewage smell in front of the hotel but luckily you can’t smell it when eating outside on the terrace.
I felt these were minor and it wouldn’t stop me from returning.

This was the 1st time we have visited Es canar and won’t be rushing back. We didn’t realise how little goes on there so was slightly disappointed that once you leave the hotel there’s not much to do at all and ifs near impossible to get out of the area due to shortage in taxis and buses.

Arriving at the hotel the lobby area and pool area are very clean and modern. However all of the reception staff were rude and unhelpful and the corridor was filthy, carpets were covered in hair and crumbs and were desperate for a Hoover. The room was just how it looked on pictures apart from the fact we booked a superior double sea view room, which was sold as with a double bed, came with 2 singles. As soon as I got to the room I went and asked reception for a change to a room with a double (whether it was sea view or not), I was told no because the hotel was full and that the cleaner would come up to the room with a mattress topper. The cleaner came and did this for us 24 hours later. The worst thing about the room was the sliding door to the balcony. The sliding door was very heavy and my partner couldn’t even open it, not only that but if one door was closed, the other door (which didn’t have a lock) would open leaving a massive draught coming through into the room at all times and an annoying whistling noise. The balcony was completely open aswel with about a 3 or 4 foot fence stopping nobody from hopping over and walking into our insecure room. Not only that but the curtains didn’t actually cover the full doors so we had large gaps meaning our room was fully lit up from sunrise to sunset making it hard to sleep at times.

We was all inclusive at the hotel and planned for a chilled few days around the pool. We didn’t realise that unless you got to the pool before 7:30am you wouldn’t actually be able to sit round the pool. Meaning 1 day out of 4 we actually got to have a bed and relax at the pool. Half of the drinks menu isn’t on the all inclusive list and the ‘all inclusive bar’ has specific hours, after this hours you have to pay for your drinks no matter whether you’ve paid your package or not. On the last day I was made to cut off my wristband when I checked out instead of being able to have food/drink for the rest of the afternoon and evening I was at the hotel, even after paying for 4 days all inclusive. The food isn’t the best either from the help yourself buffet. The daytime ‘snacks’ consists of 2 different types of crisp that are left out in a big tray all day going stale. Breakfast time in the hotel can be very busy and tables are mostly dirty (due to shortage of staff in the restaurant) but they was quick to help and was apologetic for the tables and lack of cutlery. All restaurant staff were very polite and helpful I must note

On the 2 occasions I asked the hotel to call us a taxi I was told that the taxi company was busy and that one wouldn’t be available, nobody even attempted to call one.

Was not good value for money and I will not be recommending to anybody.

I stayed at the AluaSoul with my wife for 2 weeks and as soon as we arrived, I knew we were on to a winner. The staff were all lovely and helpful, no question was too big or small. I sometimes get a little concerned with all Inc. that I will get bored of the food but I didn't. Breakfast and lunch selection was fantastic and I enjoyed the themed nights (Mexican, Asian, Spanish) I the evenings. The room was lovely and was a great size. The frosted glass toilet door gave us a bit of a chuckle but you soon get use to it. New bottles of water left everyday, hand sanitiser and lots of toiletries in the room to use. I do wish there was a kettle in the room as I love a mint tea before bed and ended up having to pay for one if after 11pm but it wasn't pricey. Balcony was a good size with a nice view of the sea. Great location with rhe beach right at your doorstep and lots of bars and restaurants around too. We will definitely be back again :)

Due to covid some of the activities at the hotel were not available and I am not judging anything relating to covid within my review as I don't believe it is fair to. The a la carte restaurant was closed, the indoor pool was drained and the hot tubs were closed. Hoping to return again to take full advantage of the additional amenities.

Reception and all staff are very friendly and work very hard. Hotel is spotless in all areas. We had a superior room overlooking the pool on 4th floor. Very modern, no noise heard from next door, beds were really comfy, towels changed daily, room cleaned daily, kettle, coffee machine and small bottles of water provided, air con was really good, toiletries and safe provided, pool towels can be hired for€10 and refunded at the end.
We were half board but chose to pay €23 per person per day for all inclusive for two days, food was great, varied. There are three pools and plenty of sunbeds, no matter what time of day there were always ones free, aqua aerobics and yoga daily. I have to mention the dancing waiter JORGE,he was brilliant, he should be an entertainer, such an asset to hotel, drinks were very reasonable, evening entertainment a bit hit and miss. I couldn’t fault the negatives (not major)
Superior room is a bit small, there is a space with sunbeds on for superior room clients only but this is not enforced and anyone can go up there, there is no room to dry bath towels so you don’t have to change them every day, there is no wardrobe space to hand long dresses.

We had a fabulous holiday there and cannot fault hotel or staff. We would return again and recommend it.

The dress code is essentially no beach wear. Smart casual is the accepted and required norm. As for check in, if they have a room available for you it will be allocated, if not they will have one by 2pm.

1) Water is provided in the room. By the pool, you are able to get water for free, just not in a bottle. 2) No beach wear, smart casual is the required/accepted norm. 3) The spa will or won't be worth the cost to you, only you will be able to determine that.

There is no iron on the rooms, you need to book the use of one at reception, you get 2 hours to use it. Pool view rooms enjoy sunshine all afternoon which will disappear late on and you will find that at times it is too hot to sit out at all.

Hi, Our room was a sea view room (recommend!) . Walk through front door past wardrobe/fridge etc on right , bathroom area on left. Bathroom area had seperate toilet & shower with frosted glass. On the right is the sink with shelving etc. This is open , however there is a floor to ceiling part wall that has a mirror and sink in bathroom area. This gives a small amount of privacy. We arent into these open bathroom styles either, however as its frosted and has the wall opposite the toilet room it was ok. We just sat on the balcony and enjoyed the views, while the other used the bathroom. Wouldnt stop me from booking this hotel, it was excellent.

I had the first floor corner room directly above Charley’s Bar and obviously if you leave you balcony doors open it can be heard. However I found the sound proofing quite adequate when closed and the noise didn’t bother me at all.
