The entrance to the hotel is not well marked, the outside of the hotel is dark, and the parking lot is poorly lit which can be dangerous in these winter conditions. The hotel seems to be using Covid as a reason to not re open their pools yet every other hotel in Cranbrook has their pools open again. The continental breakfast bar is still closed and they offer a bagged breakfast where we were given extremely bruised bananas and squished muffins with a juice box. The rooms were tidy, the t.vs could be on a higher stand or mounted onto the wall for more comfortable viewing, the water was very brownish when I attempted to fill the tub for my toddler to have a bath. The hotel is located just when you come into Cranbrook so it is a drive to any restaurants or entertainment.

I have stayed here before and enjoyed the hotel so was really disappointed this time around.

We spent one night in this hotel as we were just passing the area. Our family of 4 just needed a place to sleep for the night. First, the front guest person is not wearing mask while our entire family did. We were asked to maintain distance but we would have preferred if they also wear masks. Second their ads said free breakfast but since their buffet area is closed the only breakfast is one small muffin and coffee/tea. Front desk said they just updated their ads, but in reality it was not updated therefore we paid for something that was not really available. That is our only not so good comment. Otherwise, the room is clean, we felt safe and we had a good stay.

Breakfast was a muffin, juice box and bruised fruit. Other Wyndham chains offered cooked meals and places to make pancakes. However, the hotel had Friendly staff; it was quiet; and the beds were comfy.

Check-in/out staff were very pleasant. Everything was extremely spotless. We were there 3 nights and every day coming back to our room it was like we were just checking in it was so spotless and tidy. Places out front and back (picnic table) to sit at if you smoke. No continental breakfast due to covid which I thought was redundant as many places are lifting restrictions now (August). Also, this hotel is at the beginning of the 'strip' so if you want to go to a restaurant, or shopping, you will have to drive. There is nothing within a 'walkable' distance. PS The reviews on trip advisor re Boston Pizza (closest restaurant) are true - the food is terrible.

The pool, breakfast room, and laundry were all still closed apparently due to COVID. This didn't make much sense since all restaurants have reopened and pools at other hotels are open. You get a muffin, drinkbox, and banana for breakfast like you're in elementary school. We were on a camping trip and booked a few nights here so we can shower and do laundry. The laundry service across the parking lot was expensive and closed at 4pm. On the positive, the room was quiet, clean, and spacious. No issues there, but I would stay somewhere else until the amenities have reopened.

Stayed here last night on the way back to Nelson from Calgary. It had been a long trip and long day with a lot of snow in the mountain passes. Ergo my wife and I were exhausted, and our three little boys were the same. The hotel was rather deserted when we arrived, and we had the only car in the parking lot. The front desk clerk was courteous, and we checked in to a small room. The hotel had a water park with a slide, which was ingenious because it had a shut off timer.
The issue I have personally with the hotel is that the clerk at the front desk has lots of jobs, he has to keep busy when the hotel is slow, I understand that, however what I cannot understand is shovelling snow in the parking lot DIRECTLY under our window at 10pm, when my wife and I are trying to get our children to sleep. I’d like to think he was aware he put us in that room. Just a bad decision on his part. I’m not sure we will be back.

Online they advertised pool and a continental breakfast. Pool still closed due to "Covid protocols" which are no longer in place. They are doing a brown bag breakfast which includes a banana, warm apple juice and a low grade homemade muffin. They are not allowing more than 1 bag per registered guest. Seems odd since you could eat all you want if the continental breakfast is in place. If you are counting on the breakfast and pool then it is an average Super 8. When you have planned on these things you feel badly cheated.

Modern, comfortable, large rooms. Room was quiet and could not hear any plumbing from adjacent rooms. All staff seemed very friendly and helpful. I stayed four nights and would stay there again if I should return to Cranbrook one day

The room was clean, bed was comfy good sized room, fridge & microwave. There wasn’t enough parking spots, lots of maintenance trucks, many people outside smoking & smoking grass very stinky… night front desk guy really doesn’t like his job.. he was borderline rude. The advertised pool was closed, breakfast was an apple, kids juice box & a crushed little muffin. Morning clerk was nice.

We stayed 2 nights as I had medical procedure. It is very clean, beds were comfortable, and quiet. I had asked for ground floor and they were able to accommodate that request.
Breakfast room is not open due to Covid but they had a small bag breakfast juice fruit and muffin. Coffee machine and pods in the room. Fridge and microwave.
Will definitely stay there again should they need arise and would recommend it to someone that is looking for clean comfortable basic stay.
