Clean, tidy hotel with no problems, concerns or complaints.
Friendly Front desk staff checked us in quickly and efficiently. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. The large windows looked over the highway in the distance (no noise from traffic) and the mountain at the end of a quiet road. Walking distances to restaurants.
Excellent value, staff and overall one of Merritt’s better hotels
Highly recommend and will only come here next time in Merritt.

Karun, the assistant manager greeted me so warmly that I knew we'd made the right choice staying here instead of in Kamloops. Price was excellent, room was spotless and spacious. Karun remedied a noisey neighbour issue quickly and professionally and we had a perfect sleep after 12 hours of driving. Beds were great, windows kept traffic noise out, and breakfast was plentiful. We'll definitely stay here again instead of Kamloops. Thanks Karun for making our visit to Merritt so enjoyable. See you next time!

We stopped in Merrit on the way home from a wonderful stay in Whistler. When we entered the Comfort Inn, the reception had a plastic screen, there was hand sanitizer available and marking on the the floor were you should stand to be properly physically distanced. Got to our room which was a nice sized suite with a pullout couch. Decided to have a coffee and found the grinds from the last visitors still in the coffee maker, and all 4 coffee cups had a coffee ring which we had to wash. When we pulled out the pullout couch, the sheets from the last visitors were still on the bed. We called customer service and they brought us new sheets and a blanket - we had to make our own bed. Thank goodness we had our own pillow. Overall, at this time of COVID 19 we were not impressed. An apology and small discount on the room was inadequate. I called head office, sent pictures. Etc but they didn’t seem to care either.

We stayed for a night on our way to the island and the location off the highway with amenities (coffee, gas, restaurants) right next door is awesome. The staff were very nice and building is modern and new. Bedding and room were very nice.
I wasn't happy with the state of cleanliness in the bathroom...especially during COVID. There were some splatters on the tub, walls (that turned out to be stains), light switches, the floor could have used more attention. Because of COVID, we had disinfectant wipes with us so I wiped everything down, but had we not had them, I absolutely would have refused to stay in that room.

Although there is nothing really wrong with this hotel, they are following Covid-19 protocol, the rooms in general are not in great shape compared to when we stayed here 2 years ago and were quite happy with it at that time. The furniture is banged up, the tub had a couple of chips in the enamel and in certain areas of the hotel the carpet is very soiled. The room we were in had a small stove top and cupboards with dishes- which we did not use- and by the looks of the layer of dust inside the cupboard neither had anyone else in recent times. The cupboards definitely needed to be cleaned out. The hotel is pet friendly which seems to be a selling point as every second guest was traveling with a dog.

Pleasant staff, newer building and clean rooms. Had my room ready early which was a nice surprise as I arrived after 7 hours on a motorcycle in 35 deg heat. Air conditioner worked, bed was comfortable and lots of hot water. I do recommend they clean up the repair work on the shower...there was about 3 lbs of silicone used to try and fix some leaks.

We stayed for one night on our way back to Vancouver Island in early October 2022.
The location is great, with very easy access from the Coquihalla. There are also lots of places nearby for eating, getting groceries, getting gas, etc. it’s about a five minute drive into downtown Merritt.
Check in was very easy. Our room was up on the fourth floor. We had a king size bed and lots of room in the unit. Typical amenities with a fridge and microwave. The bathroom was nice as well with lots of towels and toiletries. We only had a shower But that was fine for one night and it was a nice shower. The room was very quiet and so were the hallways. We have no idea if we are neighbours or not.
They offer a free breakfast that has lots of variety. The morning that we were there they had eggs and then omelets as well as sausages. In addition they had cereal, yogurt, baked goods, various juices and hot beverages. There are some workers staying there that are working on the pipeline and highways and they were actually the only people in the breakfast room and they were exceptionally quiet.
We would most certainly stay here again.

Checked out the Empty Keg Brew Hpuse in Merritt for the first time. Drinks and food are ordered at the counter where menu and beverage choices are displayed. Too many choices for a flight of 5. Husband ordered his fav before I had a chance to put in my request as we were sharing a flight, good thing he has good taste in some beers. We ordered hot pretzels that came with dips and a charcuterie board. Hot pretzels tasty, 3 of them. Charcuterie board eye appealing, put together nicely and had many different items, salami, cheeses, nuts, olives, pickled vegetables and several varieties of crackers. Beers tasty.
Lots of games in a bookcase that you could bring to your table to play. There is a table set up for poker, cards and poker chips.
Overall, great place to hang out. Would definitely go back for a visit.

We really liked this hotel. It is well situated, close to town, close to the highway and yet, good windows keep the traffic noise out. Everything was extremely clean, the brown bag breakfast, due to COVID-19 was good and plentiful. The staff is friendly and informative. We highly recommend the Comfort Inn in Merritt, BC
