Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Disappointed from the breakfast. No fresh juices, no fresh yogurt, no fresh omeletes. Just standard items like croissants, cheeses, ham etc. No restaurant serving lunch when we visited, Feb 2022. The gym was very poor, just a few treadmills, with no view to sth nice. There was no spa or sauna like the Leonardo in Berlin. The hotel gave you the impression that it was run on automatic pilot without any people to help. In the breakfast area the lack of personnel was more than obvious. Generally the climate was a bit frugal and you had to ask for an extra soap or shampoo, no refill after a day or two!! You do not expect all of the above from a 4 star hotel that charges 330 euros for 3 nights in an off season period like February.

I came for the conference, the hotel is just near the Fira congress center. The bus and the metro stop are in close vicinity. I enjoyed the swimming pool and delicious breakfast. The hotel has a bar with super friendly staff, Vitaly, the barman, prepares great sangria! The room was spacious, with coffee machine and tea pot. Also there was a bottle of water as a welcome gesture and coffee capsules plus tea bags

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by 2 very friendly members of staff.
We arrived earlier than standard check in time but they very kindly checked us in and informed us that our rooms were ready - this was very helpful as we had travelled quite a long way by train.
The rooms were comfortable, clean and everything we needed (standard king bed) - the windows offered great views over the port, with the other side looking at the olympic park.
Great amenities, tea, coffee, water and toiletries - working air conditioning too.
Breakfast buffet was filling and delicious!
We were checked out by a wonderful member of staff called Javier who was very friendly and helpful. He is an asset to the hotel and the hotel should be proud to have him as an employee!

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were accommodated by 4 families for 4 nights, and at the time of booking, the value of the first night's accommodation for the 4 rooms was blocked on my card, i.e. over 900 euros. Upon arrival at the hotel, each family paid for the room for the 4 nights of accommodation. I requested that the amount of money that was blocked on the card be calculated for the payment of my room. They did not agree and I paid another 900 euros, telling me that they would unlock my money blocked for the reservation. Although more than 3 weeks have passed, the money has not been released. I called the hotel several times but to no avail. I don't think it's normal from a 4-star hotel, so you better choose something else.

Have in mind that this is not a charge, and it does not count as a payment for your reservation. When I checked, they couldn’t be ruder. After I checked in I asked an older large man if breakfast was included, he said it’s 17 euros so I walked outside to the corner everyday to buy my breakfast, but I met a friendly guest and she told me she gets the breakfast everyday, and she told me on my last day it was included, so I went ti the front desk and the worker told me that I should have read what I paid for, it was my fault I didn’t read the paragraph. The pool was overcrowded and the tile on the floor was loose. I would never recommend this hotel especially with that large older man with glasses telling me the breakfast was $17 euros

I came to the city of Barcelona to celebrate my 40th birthday and this hotel did not let me down. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Rachel, who made us feel straight at home. She was amazing throughout the whole stay, giving us information on where to visit locally and places to eat in town, even helping me to sort a last minute dinner reservation for my birthday. All the staff at this hotel were very friendly, welcoming and a had a smile on their faces.
Good variety at breakfast and it was delicious.
The hotel is absolutely stunning. The room was very spacious and cleaned everyday. The restaurant has a good variety and we are there on a few occasions. The rooftop pool area was the standout feature for us at this hotel with amazing views. We spent 2 days by the pool and had no issues with getting sun loungers. The pool bar is amazing and served some great cocktails and you can also purchase food.
The location of the hotel is a bit further away but plenty of local places to go to on foot, tax or public transport. We felt so safe in the area and never had any issues.
I would 100% recommend this hotel and plan to come back for a visit before too long.

The room I received has a beautiful view of the city, very clean and modern, smells nice everywhere, especially in the lobby. The breakfast is quite varied, pleasant ambient music and very friendly staff. The hotel is located in a good area, with a metro station nearby. We recently decided to add on a 3 day Barcelona excursion to our stay in Spain, and from the reviews as well as proximity to the airport, chose the Leonardo Royal Hotel. I have to say the whole family were delighted with the choice, the rooms where clean, and very comfortable, the restaurant and bar area were open and spacious, the roof top infinity pool and bar, was a nice place to relax and for us the metro system posed no issue. FOC station was 5 minutes walk and is direct to Nou Camp's closest metro station, but it was easy to change lines and head into the centre. Would have no issue recommending and staying at this hotel again.

Hi, My family and I are checked in at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Fira on Saturday, March 30, 2024 around 5:30pm. We were greeted by two receptionists. We booked two rooms for our family of 5. We have three kids and my little one is 6 years old. One of the receptionists told us that we needed another room because of our 6 years old. We were surprised with this request since this is fourth 4-star hotel in Barcelona area and no-one asked us such request before. We have been traveling around the world, stayed in many hotels, and this is only the hotel asked us to get another room because of our 6 years old. We always pay for the room. When my husband shared his experience with that receptionist with an obvious disappointment, the same receptionist got very upset and shouted out really loud “this is not your country”. This is not a professional way of explaining the hotel policies. This is a pure discrimination, and I am very disappointed in the Leonardo Royal Hotels because of having such a rude and unprofessional staff member in the team. He treated my husband and my family very disrespectfully. We were in Spain to celebrate Easter, and this experience will be always shadowing our vacation, Easter, and happy memories. Another issue is while this hotel claims that they must follow the rules, I was given a room with a very strong smoke smell. It is a shame that they chase my 6 years old age to sell me another room, but not chasing people who smoke in the room. Very disappointing…

The rooms booked were for maximum 4 people, that is why my colleagues recommended you book another room. As a 4-stars hotel we are obliged to send precise lists of guests staying at the hotel to the national police for security reasons. We do apologize for the inconvenience caused but due to the strict regulations receptionists should emphasized that the hotel policies between countries are extremely different. We regret all the misunderstand caused.
