We stayed at one of the cabins up from the Somass River. A farm with goats , sheep and chicks to enjoy , cows and horses in the didtance. It was soo nice to be in the trees with all the amenities sat out front in morning enjoying my tea , was such a treat to hear the young goat calling for some attention. . Lovely electric fireplace in the wall between livingroom and bedroom, fell asleep with the wonderful glow of the fire after soaking in the soo relaxing Jacuzzi tub . Fully equipped spotless kitchen allowed us to make our breakfast and sit in the window enjoying the fall colors at their best. Hubby enjoyed his fav sports on TV while l sat in a very relaxing lounger reading . Defiantly recommend a stay

We spent a great deal of time here between May and October, 2021 and we love it here. First impression in May was less positive due to weather and resulting muck in our site, but we soon came to appreciate the beauty of the location and the friendliness of the hosts. It is quiet and peaceful overlooking the river - we loved watching the people on tubes floating down the river! The only thing missing was sewer hook-ups and they are currently being installed. We also love the picturesque farm and the antics of the goats and chickens! Ann and Bob and their son Donny were very friendly, kind and supportive to us during our "family crisis" (lost cat) that kept us there.
BCpicky, shame on you for giving them a terrible review and a personal insult based on first impressions and lack of information. You were there during terrible weather and a busy time (Thanksgiving) for an already overworked owner. They are installing sewer lines, so yes, the dirt is churned up and the torrential rain turned it to mud. Come back when the weather is nice, try Ann's pie, have a tour of the farm and stay a little longer - you will change your mind.

Stayed here two nights after leaving China Creek campground.(DONT stay there) Arrowvale has decent sites and is right beside the river. Crystal clear water and my boys and I all swam and floated down the river. It was awesome. Campsite had water and electricity and free WiFi and showers. Super friendly staff. Had a little cafe with some food options and ice cream. Very satisfied.

We have been camping at arrowvale multiple times over the years, in a few different spots around the campground and have never been disappointed! And the fun they provide all year round for different holidays is excellent and fun for the family! The farm on one side and campground on the other provides a lot of stimulation for the kids, exploring the trails, seeing the goats and other animals. They were never bored! The river is beautiful. And a lot if spots to swim and fish if you look. Ann and bob are very accommodating and friendly. And don't forget to buy the beef when you leave! It's excellent!

I've stayed at Arrowvale campground on numerous occasions both on business and for pleasure and love it! The working farm setting is great. We've camped a few times and have found the campground quiet and comfortable. The cottages are beautiful. They offer all the basic amenities and a Jacuzzi tub to boot. I recommend staying at Arrowvale any day! Sure beats a stuffy hotel room.

This private campground is a ten minute drive from downtown Port Alberni. It's on a river, but you can't see the river (except from two sites) because there is a high embankment. You can get to the river easily, but there is not much of a beach, and the river is very fast. The campsites are on a large open meadow. No privacy at all. Facilities (washrooms, laundry, etc.) are tired. Didn't try the food, but the cafe looked all right.

Just amazing. They have so many fun things to do onsite, the views are amazing, and the owners are just so incredible. I have been to a ton of campsites in the past but none compare. Paradise on earth. Thanks Ann!!!!

I've spent the last week at arrowvale awaiting the arrival of my son to be born. I've loved the realness of this place, the river trail, birds, and peace. The campsites are great and the cottages full of island charm. I thank the Collins for sharing this jewel all the while running a full time farm. Truly inspiring.

We love taking the family out to Arrowvale Farm. We've stayed in the cabins, we've camped there, we've thrown a birthday party there, we've visited their farmer's market, we've visited their special events such as Halloween Hay Rides and Easter Bunny Hay Rides, and we've visited just to see the farm and animals. Every time we go we are treated so well by the owners Ann and Bob Collins. We're lucky to have this special place in our community. Well worth a visit and a stay whether you are a visitor to the area or from town.
