Our family recently stayed here , 3 adults and one child . We stayed in a one bedroom loft . So we had kitchen , living room area , one full bathroom , one bedroom with queen bed and a loft with two double beds . Kitchen is very well stocked , we always had breakfast in room and dinner once . Whole place was clean . Beds were very comfortable . Fireplace was great for helping dry snow clothes near after a full day snowboarding . Train tracks are across the street and even though trains run all night we never heard them while sleeping , and I’m a light sleeper . Staff was very friendly . Very close to restaurants and stores . Only a 15 minute drive to Banff and a 50 minute drive to lake Louise . Views out all windows were lovely, mountains surround ! We will be back for certain . Very affordable . Having a room that big was great , all that space made for a relaxing time each night .

We came to Kananaskis for a hiking trip and after a busy day, we were pleased to find a great, affordable place to stay with a complete kitchen. We had a reservation, and upon arrival were were upgraded to a larger accomodation. We look forward to future returns.

We rented a little studio and it was not clean. We had brought our own products to disinfect during COVID-19 and thank goodness we did. The walls were dirty, the floors were dirty, the stove, refrigerator and microwave were dirty. We had to clean the whole place when we got in. There is no dishwasher so you know that the dishes were not sanitized either. It just felt like they didn't much care about COVID-19 protocol.
It was noisy, no balcony or outdoor space to sit so we felt like we were in a bunker. Spend the extra $100 and go somewhere else.

Dear insearchofgoodfood19, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. Please accept my apologies for any inconveniences caused during your stay. I understand that you found our facilities not up to the standards. I can imagine your frustrations and I hope you informed the front desk about the same. However I can assure you these are not our standards and this was a one off incident as we take cleaning and sanitizing our property seriously especially with the current pandemic. Once again my apologies and appreciate your feedback as we will use this to improve ourselves in the future. Best regards, Sahil Chitroda Front Office Manager Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge

This is a great property. The beds are very comfortable, room is clean, and they give you lots of towels. The hot tub and sauna are the highlight of our stay. We sometimes travel with a small dog and the hotel provides a bed, dish and toy and there is lots of space to walk her. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. It is our favorite place to stay when we visit Canmore.

First off, the location of this hotel is very ideal. We walked to downtown Canmore a few times. It is very convenient for getting around, and getting out of town if you want to head to Banff or back towards Calgary.

We stayed in the one bedroom studio suite. What we discovered when we got there was that we think the hotel acquired this separate building recently. It is not part of the original complex. It almost seemed as though we were able to book it due to overflow at the hotel (maybe because it was a long weekend) because we were the only ones staying there.

The suite was very cute. Small, but exactly what you would expect from a one bedroom. It had it's own private entrance to the outside and was extremely private. It had a full kitchen which was wonderful as we had brought all our own food and were able to make many of our own meals. We had our two dogs with us, so the private entrance made it convenient for taking them outside. When we booked online, it stated that all rooms have air conditioning......I can assure you this room did NOT and there was 30+ heat that weekend. Thank goodness they at least provided us with a fan.

We found a few items in the room that were left behind by other guests which we found a bit disgusting, although they were in places that a person wouldn't normally look, so apparently the cleaners hadn't either (this is what happens when you have dogs, going after dog toys).

Also, at check in we were to be provided a dog bed and toys for EACH dog. They were aware we had two, but were only provided with one. And the bed was not a bed at all.....incredibly thin and I am sure uncomfortable.

Just make sure to triple confirm with them what you are getting so there are no surprises.

The two bedroom unit with kitchenette was extremely spacious for the three of us. It had one full bath and 1/2 bath and the two bedrooms were separated on either end of the unit. The entire unit including the kitchenette was very clean. Each bedroom has an air conditioning unit. Double patio doors lead to the outside patio. For extended stays this unit is ideal. The location is very convenient with great views.

Located between the freeway and the railway, about 20min walking from town, this old motel has been renovated more than 10 years ago. It is now owned by a Banff chain and lost the personalized welcome we had in the past, and a reinvestment is lagging. Prices sky rocketed with Covid19. The self contained room at 89 in February is know 119. The call center refused to give us the 25% discount offered by email to former customers, as we did not have the Code at hand. We stayed elsewhere with much better welcomeand conditions.

Dear longtravel09, Thank you for taking the time to provide your valuable feedback of your recent stay with us. I am sorry to hear that you did not find our pricing to your liking. As our returning guests and seasoned travelers, I'm sure you must be aware that usually our June prices are over $209 a night and our prices do fluctuate based on the occupancy. My apologies that our reservations team was unable to provide you the discount based on the code. Please feel free to contact us directly to grab the code if it isn't handy. Please be rest assured that I will take this feedback to improve ourselves for the future and hopefully we can host you sometime soon in the future. Stayed here one evening for our final night in Alberta last spring. We enjoyed our decent sized room with comfortable bed. I particularly liked the hot tub in the middle of the lodge. Was great to unwind after spending the day hiking in Banff. Many great eateries to choose from near by and the town centre is about a 15 minute walk away from the hotel. We would definitely check out the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge on our next visit to the area.
