We highly recommend this resort for RV’ers who have self contained RV’s, to make this your summer getaway during this strange year of restricted traveling. Though the clubhouse facilities and the pool are off limits to visitors for the time being, there is still plenty to do. There’s a beautiful sandy beach just across the street, the water is always warm throughout the summer months for any type of water activity. Then there’s the amazing trail systems to go on walks and bike rides. The grocery store has every thing you need and they are very good at limiting shoppers and keeping things disinfected. We’ve also found a few wonderful small shops in the downtown area. Other sights and trails are only short drives away. The weather is always warm in Osoyoos and you will not find a friendlier resort town anywhere in Canada. The resort itself is very tidy and clean with mostly paved lots and some green spaces. We see plenty of children and small pets too.

Very nice looking upscale RV resort, good facilities and very well maintained. But that is just cosmetic. The rules stated that "All guests are entitled to the quiet enjoyment of their sites, therefore please be considerate of your fellow neighbors. Quiet time is from 11pm to 7am" Not the case. I approached the security guard @ 10:00 PM to ask the party with very loud music, ,loud foul language intoxicated people basically everything the regulations said not to do, to" quiet down". He was not very receptive and rude, in fact was participating in the party himself. At that point we felt defenceless. The party ended just after 2:00AM . The next morning I asked for a refund for that night and got it, but was refused a refund to leave a day earlier. ( I was not the only one that got a refund that morning) Then as we were leaving the manager brought the security guard around the site to see if others had the same complaint. The guard was rude and pointing to other guests that I was making up stories and the night was quiet. The manager is young and very inexperienced and did not handle the situation professionally. We will never visit this place again. I hope the owners are made aware of this situation and make necessary staffing adjustments to prevent another situation to this very nice place. The high speed internet was slow unreliable.

My wife and I stayed with my 12 yr old son on the July 4th weekend (stayed 4 days) Very well maintained grounds, clean showers, very nice pool and hottub. Located across the street from a small but very nice beach. The staff we spoke to were very pleasant. Very many positive points to make including location, and close proximity to downtown Osoyoos.
Along with the positive are the negative. The facility is attempting to sell all the lots off, and get rid of the transient campers. With only one washroom for the whole facility, it works not too bad, but they close them from 10 pm to 7 am. Never heard of that before. They are trying to make the gym and lounge for owners only. For the 4 days we were there we saw no one in the lounge! (Pool table) The pool is adult only from 8 to 9 pm. Not sure why they bother, as it was filled with kids from opening to close. No kids under 12 allowed without a parent. Pool was filled with young kids always. Very few times actually saw a parent. If you like watching hords of kids buzzing around the grounds on electric scooters without helmets, or protective equipment , this is your place. Kids totally unsupervised while parents socializing, with other parents drinking. Quiet time after 11pm, that clearly does not include the kids on electric scooters bombing around in the dark without lights screaming at each other. I know kids will be kids, but where are the parents, and where are the staff. Was a nice place to visit, well it could have but would not want to purchase a lot. As I said, a very nice place, but 4 days were enough.

There were numerous pleas by the government of BC for people not to visit BC to vacation. We decided to do our part and ask a number of weeks in advance if we could reschedule. This is met with little support. They were actually telling us the area was smoke free and that we should come. Every news report we watched said that there were fires nearby and that the air was dangerous to breath. This group is extremely dishonest. We never got our money back, nor were we able to negotiate a different future date. I would never visit this group and telling all my RV friends what a terrible company this is.

DO NOT STAY HERE!
More than 70% of the sites are owner occupied with less than 20 available for travelling RVer's. RV sites small. The facilities are very limited a small pool and hot tub directly adjacent to the road. The hot tub wasn't working. They have a small fitness center and amenities room reserved for "owners only." We were originally booked for 6 nights but had to leave 2 days early because of a family emergency. Our daughter who was 3 months pregnant had called very upset, she was having a miscarriage and on her way to the hospital. The Office Manager by far the worst we've every experienced in any RV Park. She was rude abrupt and condescending to us when we originally checked in. And when we tried following up with her when we got home regarding the 2 nights we'd paid for and for obvious reasons weren't able to stay. Absolutely no compassion cold and totally insensitive to our circumstances. Stating, "they had strict policies on cancellations no refund and or credit would be given." Thank god our daughter is doing fine now but we are still in shock by the way we were treated at this over rated RV "Resort"

As winter snowbirds, we ventured into trying a new facility for our six month stay. We toured the site in April 09 and arrangements were made to book us for the period with us putting down a full month's rent in advance. We were told that this would be our rate for the extended stay and would be able to make use of all the facilities available. A phone call in June revealed no reservation or paperwork could be found. Information was exchanged with the summer student employee. A further phone call in September resulted in our talking to the new manager. Again, no info initially could be found. Eventually after explaining that we had the receipt for the interact transaction on the deposit in April and were willing to fax it to them, our paperwork was found. Further discussion gave us the understanding that the rate we were quoted in April would be honoured. On Oct 15 we arrived at Walton's Resort. First problem we encountered is that most new units do not have the water and sewer outlets at the back of the unit. We needed 30 feet of sewer hose to connect to where it is situated at the very back of the lot. Our unit which is 36.5 ft with four slideouts does take up a fair amount of room. In order to be far enough way from the trees on the one side, we were close to the grass on the step side which seemed to present a problem. Moving to another site which was only 5 inches wider and more in the wind did not seem like a good option so we chose to stay in the site where we had originally been booked. The next day we were approached by the manager stating that he did not know how to enter our payment in the computer as it did not match with the rates. He told us he would check with his superiors and get back to us. Monday we were told that they would honor the rate for one month at $475 plus GST, and further rent would be $600 plus GST. Some of our decisions for vacating were that the exercise room was not opened at 8:00 a.m. even though it is advertised and there is a sign saying open from 7 a.m - 9 p.m., clubhouse which is supposed to be open to use was closed two days in a row by 5:00 p.m. Questioning the manager, we were told that he had been locking it by 8:00 p.m. but if we wanted to use it, we would have to track him down at his trailer and he would open it. We had also asked about putting a table and chairs in order to do puzzles, play cards in the clubhouse. We were told NO and that the banquet room upstairs was only for owners(In April we had been told by then manager that this would also be available to us). We were told also that come cooler weather, he would be vacated his fifth wheel and moving into an apartment/condo which to us means that it would be very hard to get into any of the facilities should we choose to use them when he would not be on the premises. We therefore forfeited our rent in order to move to another location in Osoyoos to get set up and skirted before the colder weather came. We asked for a possibility of part refund but were told NO - we actually spent only 5 night there. We have been back to see the manager and requested a phone numbe for his supervior and we were flatly refused. He told us he would take our contact info and someone would be in touch but it has not been over a week and to date NO PHONE Call has come and we doubt we will ever be contacted. Our experience has not been good and public relations to snowbirds have suffered greatly through miscommunication and misunderstanding. If we would have been satisfied we probably would have kept returning for the next 10-12 years but now we will be at another site in Osoyoos. Further letters will be ongoing to the Tourism BC and the South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce as to the treatment we received.

I worked at Waltons this past summer, and it's the best place I have ever worked (I have worked at 8 different places - 8 different summers). Being an Osoyoos local (born and raised), it's hard to find a place that you LOVE working because there's either a lot of rude tourists that think they are better than you, (trust me, Osoyoos has a lot of those), the usual complainers, knowing the people you work for, or just inconsistent management. I have worked in the hotel/campground industry at at least 4 different places (high end and not), and this has got to be the BEST run place out of all of them. First of all, Mary is the most diligent, organized, committed, responsible and reliable "boss" I have ever had. She treats the place like it is her baby, it's not someone else's business (which managers sometimes do - "it's not my money so who cares"), she treats it like it is her own, and what more could you ever ask for in a boss or a manager. I never ever felt like she was that big scary boss that you think you would have.
I know there are some problems between owners and other owners, and there are a few bad reviews - but trust me when I say to disregard those - you'll be happy you did!
Walton's is by far the CLEANEST RV park in Osoyoos, no questions about that. It feels comfortable - it feels like a family campground. I read in one of these reviews that it didn't feel family-friendly, but trust me it is, we had kids there all the time - they make friends and they have fun (there's a pool, that's awesome), it's a great place for families, right by the beach, watch a beautiful sunset or sunrise, walk the paths close-by, go for a bike-ride, go for a swim, walk about 15 minutes to the highway where there's the BEST italian restaurant, an ice-cream shop in a windmill, and a park (also, then only a 10min walk into town). There's so much to do! And the location is beautiful, lakeshore drive is one of the most beautiful places in Osoyoos.
Another complaint seems to be wifi, and while I understand that (I use my phone too), I also don't think it's a deal-breaker. Come closer to the office, and Mary is so welcoming if you want to just sit in the office and use the wifi. Sometimes it seems like people often forget that they are on vacation, with their families in such a beautiful place (I understand you might need wifi, you gotta pay the bills), but there are so many beautiful cafe's in osoyoos where you can grab a coffee, go for lunch, use their wifi too! A vacation shouldn't be all about wifi. That's one of the greatest things about Osoyoos, it's simple. We're a simple town that will be rocked by the building of a Boston Pizza (it's a huge deal), and if you can't understand that about Osoyoos, then you'll miss most of the beauty about it.
And for owners reading this review - this is my unbiased opinion of the place and of the managers (Mary and Robin), they are the most understanding and committed managers ever, they do their job with so much heart and dedication they should be thanked and appreciated daily. Whether I go back or not next year, I know Walton's is going to be a soft spot for me whenever I come home, thanks to (mostly) the management, it never felt like a job - and what more could I ask for?

This RV resort has been totally refurbished recently. Everything is so neat and clean as well as top maintained. All technical installations such as power, water, cable TV etc. are best - on top it is very kids friendly and you only have to cross the Lakeside Drive in front of the resort to reach the little public beach at Osoyoos Lake. If there is any negative then it is the fact that from our spot #33 the free WiFi connection was not the best and only worked properly in the middle of the night.

We recently stayed at the RV resort as we had noticed an ad in the Super Camping B.C. Guide which stated that the rates started as low as $35.00 per night. When we arrived we were told the cost per night was to be "higher" than what the posted prices were. We were told it was becuase it was now their summer rates and the prices changed two days prior to our arrival... We loved the resort it is beautiful and well maintained, but we travel all over B.C. , Alberta, Washington State etc and have stayed in amazing RV resorts but have never been overcharged like this. We paid over $200 for a two night stay. We will certainly never go back and would not recommend the resort based on this experience

This is the second, and last time at this resort. The facilities were very nice but there is a lack of enforecment of the rules. The first night we were there, we had older kids climbing the wall behind our trailer, and then the parents of this group were drinking, obnoxious, and the language was horrible. We had to hunt down the night security, and explain the rules to him. He got up in my face, and said that our idea of a holiday was different from others, so he wasn't going to tell them to quiet down. It was already 11:00 p.m. and time to settle down. My wife had to suggest a solution, because he wasn't prepared to do anything at all.. We moved at midnight. The second night we had younger children climbing on our table to get up on the wall to play tag. There were no complaints filed like the guard said, and nothing was done to compensate our stay.Would not purchase a lot in this park, or ever stay again!
