We stayed in the Sheraton Ottawa for 5 nights while visiting from the UK. The rooms are a little dated and the large gap between the door and the door frame does let in light from the hallway. That said they are a really good size and the king size beds are very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The team at the hotel are fantastic. From the minute we walked in on Christmas Eve and were greeted by Pam, we felt welcome. Check in was quick and we went to our rooms with extra tea bags and some delicious cookies and muffins courtesy of Pam. Perfect after a long day of travelling. The bag of sweets left on all door handles on Christmas morning was another lovely touch. The team in the bar/restaurant (particularly Fiona) were also great. Friendly, helpful and attentive they recommended food and drink and made us feel very welcome throughout. Every member of the hotel team we spoke to was great and they are a credit to the hotel. The location of the Sheraton is good with Parliament Hill a 5 minute walk away, with Byward Market and Rideau Centre Mall a little further. We reached all visitor attractions and restaurants by feet without the need for public transport. All in all we were very happy with the choice we made to stay at the Sheraton Ottawa and would recommend it to others.

After getting out lf the coziest bed there is, we ate a good breakfast at Sheraton’s (these eggs and banana brioche bread were simply delicious). Our dedicated waitor, Micco, was a gem and he gave us the best advices to find activities around the city. Both mornings we have been served in french, which is appreciated since we are from Montreal. Thank you ! Valérie & Sandra

The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast buffet. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful with attentive and friendly waiting staff. The dining area was clean, bright and modern. The bedroom on the other hand was tired and fairly drab - the dim lighting didn't help. It appeared clean, but a used coffee bag in the machine indicated otherwise. The reception staff were OK, not particularly friendly or rude, but not especially helpful either. The exception to this was Elizabeth, who checked us out, who was helpful, chatty and considerate. Our one big complaint, however, is the lack of a pool. It's seems from reading the reviews there hasn't been a working pool since at least January. The information you give out should reflect this major work - we only booked about a month ago, and wouldn't have done so if we'd known the pool was out of action. Although the hotel is situated in a great location for all the major tourist attractions, I don't think I would recommend it.

The hotel has very restrictive parking. As a truck owner I cannot park in their lot. And the staff push you to get them to valet your vehicle for $30! I parked accross at the world exchange for considerably less. The room was large but was terribly dated, there was dust on the frames and part of the desk. Very old carpet and curtens that were in need of a wash. The mattress was the only new and good thing about that room. Room was also beside service elevator and there was quite a bit of noise throught the night of glasses clinking and carts moving. All in all will never stay here again and as a bonvoy member very dissapointed.

We were here in late February and I have to say, everyone we came across was happy and smiling and very helpful. The gentlemen serving at breakfast, the housekeeping staff...were all smiling and helpful. In particular I would like to mention Pam. I believe she was in "customer services"...she saw me in the lobby with a succulent plant terrarium I had bought as a housewarming gift. It fell over in the backseat of our car and was a mess, with plants uprooted and mini rocks everywhere. She literally scooped it out of my hands and asked me my room number, saying she'd fix it for me. Not a half hour later she was at the door! She had completely fixed it and even added ribbons to make it look even nicer. Such an unexpected level of service that was much appreciated! Little touches like that make the biggest difference! We really enjoyed our three day stay at the Sheraton Ottawa. The room was very spacious, and we appreciated the free water given to Marriott Bonvoy members. We had a problem with the safe, and it was resolved very quickly. The staff at the front desk were all so friendly and helpful with good suggestions about attractions and restaurants. I have stayed at this hotel more than 20 times. The hotel is very nicely situation. There are many restaurants around the hotel but it is away from the Market area that it is not noisy. The rooms are spacious and clean. The club lounge always has plenty of snacks and beverages. The staff are always very friendly. There is only 1 suite at this hotel. So if you're looking for a suite, make sure you book it way in advance.

This was a Scouts Canada training event, but I brought my wife with. Very close to Parliament and other local attractions, we could walk to almost everything we wanted. Good train service just a few blocks away. Unfortunately, we were there when Covid19 hit and just about everything we were interested in closed. But we found the people of Ottawa very friendly and helpful with great suggestions. We'll have to come back at a better time.

Before staying here I was at Sheraton Toronto and at the end of my trip I stayed at Sheraton Montreal, this one in Ottawa has no relation at all to the Sheraton brand standards in terms of building, room & service. This is so called “Sheraton” is in old & tired building even with repairs and construction that it’s going on I don’t think it will operate as Sheraton in the future, I think this is a Four Points or Courtyard at best. The club lounge was closed for unknown reasons, so alternatively the breakfast was served in their main restaurant “Carleton Grill”, the poorest quality I’ve ever seen.. the best things they have in the buffet was: Cold scrambled eggs + bagels & cream cheese at 22$ +, I skipped the breakfast twice. No room upgrade was given although being Titanium, Suites were available at the time of checking in, honestly, I think if they upgraded the room it wouldn’t be much difference, the hotel is already tired. I wish I had stayed at The Westin instead.

I stayed in a king room for 3 nights. The room was very spacious and modern with a large bed, desk and arm chair. The bed was soft and comfortable.
The room was very clean, was told during check in the room won’t be cleaned during my stay unless I request it.
The wifi was fast.
The location was perfect for exploring the main sites of Ottawa less than 10 min walk to Parliament Hill.
I arrived into Ottawa from the train station, I took the metro to Parliament, from there is was a 2 min walk to the hotel.
I would stay here again.

The hotel restaurant is good. But something more casual, there are a number of cafes and coffee shops close by (e.g. on Albert Street towards the canal). For example, take a look at ollyfrescos online (location: a block away from hotel on Albert Street -- Unit 1 – 90 Elgin Street -- James Michael Flaherty Building).
Busier during the weekdays. Quiet during the weekends and some cafes/coffee shops are not opened (catering to the office crowds).
Have a great time.
There are more places to choose from in the Ottawa area.
