We ended up here last minute and thankfully they had 1 room left!
Check in was super fast and the woman working the desk was extremely pleasant.
The pool is open until 10pm and breakfast is available (order night before, and they'll pack it for you for pick up the next morning).

The room was clean and well put together. We had the 1 bedroom suite, nice full size kitchen with necessary items.

Bed was comfortable and I probably slept better than I have in a while to be honest. Shower was hot, bathroom sink/vanity was separated from toilet/shower which was nice for getting ready.

I'd definitely stay again, would recommend to anyone in the area. Lots to do near the hotel as well, very nice area!

I'm a hotel snob. Well when I go to Rochester to see my Grandchildren there is only one place I will stay RI. Because I am Gold elite I can often (when they have them) get upgraded to a 2 bedroom unit. My Grandchildren love this because they can use the pool. But the Residence Inn is much more than that. It's very comfortable bed. The Westins have "the heavenly bed". Well the RI has beds that are just as comfy. Nice sheets and GREAT pillows!!! The units have a full kitchen with everything you need. Including a full refrigerator with an ice maker. Bathrooms are roomy and you have a hair dryer as well as amenities. The amenties are sparce but the price reflects that. The towels, washclothes and hand towels are soft and nice. The room is immaculate. I wondered how they would handle the breakfast buffet or if they would offer a granola bar instead like the Fairfield does. But no, they give you a sheet of paper and you can order anything from scrambled eggs to toast to cereal and put the time on it that you will pick the food up. You drop it off to the front desk and walk up the next mornig and get your breakfast. Well done RI!! The pool and hot tub are great. Done by reservation now because of covid and cleaned between each group going in. But more than anything else the very best part of this hotel is the STAFF. They are friendly, attentive and so very helpful. I will continue to use this facility each and everytime I go to Rochester. Thanks RI, see you in a month!!

Excellent customer service, clean room, bed has fresh linen fragrance, Netflix and TV work great on 1st attempt (not like other hotels). Hot tub & pool area are maintained & comfortable. They play music & have big open windows to let sunlight in

Includes a full kitchen with utensils, pots and silverware already stocked. Don’t have to walk to front desk to get cooking appliances.

Furniture in room is comfortable & clean.

Love the layout of hotel, not too many stairs. No one wants to go to a hotel and have to walk up 10 flights of stairs to get to the next floor.

Hot breakfast included and complimentary popcorn in room that you can enjoy while watching TV

Highly recommend for all types of travel. Will definitely be coming back

We stayed at Marriott Residence Inn Greece location in Rochester New York. We were traveling with a special needs son with a compromised immune system. We contacted the hotel on numerous occasions before our arrival and they assured us that masks were worn at all times in public areas by both employees and all guests on the premises. We were reassured time and time again that this rule was strictly enforced. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not the case.
Not only was our room not clean by any standards, but
When we arrived we had to allow three separate parties of unmasked guests to go on the elevator in front of us so that we were not contaminated by them!! When we brought this up to the front desk clerk She seemed visibly annoyed at our concern and said "What would you like me to do, I'm only one person?"
She even spoke at length with a mother and her two children before sending them down the hall toward the elevator and none of them were wearing masks.

A woman delivering food came into the hotel lobby also not wearing a mask. The front desk clerk answered her questions with many other guests around never asking her to put a mask on because social distancing was not possible. This is incredibly unacceptable!
Her flippant and careless attitude toward our deep concern for my son's health and safety and all the other guests was very disappointing.
Marriott promised the highest standards especially during this pandemic and spoke repeatedly of their desire to follow all guidelines for health and safety... and they are truly not keeping their word.

Extremely disappointed in this hotel and their casual attitude towards the health and safety of others, especially those with special needs.

As a big fan of the Marriott chain I always try to stay in one of their properties when I travel. Front desk staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Check in was seamless. I was in a king size studio which was large and comfortable with the extras i asked for. Floor was quiet although hotel was busy. Breakfast was the usual fare which I always enjoy. My one complaint is in all other Residence Inns I’ve stayed in water and other drinks were easily available during breakfast and the tastings however at this property the water was locked in a refrigerator and unavailable without asking. Not a big deal but not so welcoming.
I would definitely stay there again.

We’ve stayed everywhere in Greece. This is head and shoulders above the rest. Really nice desk staff especially during the day. Good breakfast. They make you feel like you’re home and welcomed. Only issue is with maid service. This seems to be hit or miss, and they often overlook cleaning your room especially if you ask them to come back in twenty min or so. They never come back.

Nice choice in Greece.

I had stayed there for 3 nights. The first morning, the hot breakfast was cold. The eggs in the Eggs/Muffin were actually still ice cold inside. Not what I have experienced with other Residence inn's that I have stayed at. On the second day, we came back from being gone all day to find that our room was never cleaned, Bed made, fresh towels... Etc. When I mentioned it to the women at the front desk, she said we could talk to the head of housekeeping tomorrow.
Just not what I expect from a Marriott resort. Matter of fact, this is the first review that I have even made on a hotel that I have stayed at.

We were several family members (21 in total) venturing to Rochester, New York for a Christmas Gift experience, visiting the Strong Museum. We came by car from Canada to spend the weekend together and enjoy what we hoped, would be a memorable moment. The Strong Museum was amazing! I recommend you go if you get the chance. The Residence Inn by Marriot, unfortunately did not hit the spot. Desk personnel were extremely unprofessional and lacking in every way. We had to request and remind them that bed linen was not provided for the pull-out couch, and that plastic covers on the mattress had not been removed. Nice that they were new, but really was that our job? They didn't even bring the linen to our rooms. We had to carry 6 room loads of linens through the hallway by ourselves. There was no restaurant....even though the website specifically says there was. Rooms were spacious and newly renovated, but it didn't make up for the next big disappointment, which was the pool. Upon entering the pool area, there was a heavy chemical intoxication. The chlorine hit you and before long, (and I mean within 10 minutes), your eyes were stinging and you felt like you were going to cough up a lung. We advised the staff, who basically looked at us like they had no idea what we were talking about. We mentioned it again the next day, and was advised that there had been only one other complaint, and that the chemical levels were fine. Just recently saw that a visitor on the same weekend has made a review complaint that in fact two people fainted during this weekend in the pool area because, I think, there was too many chemicals. Much like us, these visitors were also very upset that they could not use the pool. We came with many children who were just so excited to spend time together and be in the pool but, because the staff did not wish to acknowledge the complaints, or exercise the ability to maintain the safety or well being of the guests in the pool, we were not able to use it for fear of our health. I do hope that the management of this hotel looks into this issue and the staff, to properly and adequately ensure that all guests are made to feel welcome and looked after.

I’ve never written a review before but the amount of filth compelled me to this time. It’s a shame because other than the room being so dirty everything else was ok. The Good stuff: the room was a 2 bd 2 bath full kitchen and living room. Lots of space and dog friendly. Great parking right near the room. The bad stuff: DIRTY! Hair on bathroom vanity (not our hair), crumbs and stuck on food in microwave and under the sink, hair, food stains and overall filth on the desk chair, handprints and fingerprints all over the bed headboard. Gross!!

Our son attends RIT and this hotel is about 20 mins away. We used points for a four day visit, and we couldn't be happier. The hotel is clean, breakfast was awesome, location is convenient to good restaurants, and the staff is very friendly. We had our 50lb dog with us, and he was welcomed with open arms. The fee is a bit steep compared to other hotels, but in our case it was our only charge. Highly recommend!

You should double check with the hotel. When we stayed we paid a fee for our dog of $100 if I remember correctly. It was not refundable and still less costly then if we put him in a kennel. The was at the Residence Inn located in Greece. See my review "Dogs Accepted".

Technically yes, there is enough bed space. But nearly all of the sofa beds that I've seen are not suitable for anyone over 75 or 80 pounds. If your children are small and can share the space it can work. If you plan to arrive late I recommend that you call the hotel in advance to advise them that you need the sofa bed made up, and request extra pillows or blankets as needed.
