Sandals Grenada is often celebrated for its luxurious and spacious rooms, with guests particularly impressed by their beauty and high-end features, although some have pointed out issues with cleanliness and upkeep. While the resort's value for money has been questioned due to perceived overcharges and pricey extras, the staff's attentive and friendly service frequently receives high marks, even amid occasional reports of slow restaurant service. The hotel's serene yet lively atmosphere caters to a range of preferences, and despite its close location to the airport, the noise level is generally low, though some guests find the lounge entertainment loud. The cleanliness of the resort is widely acknowledged, with the grounds and rooms being well-maintained and the water noted for its clarity. Guests are charmed by the hotel's stunning location and the breadth of amenities available, though some suggest there's room for improvement in sunbed availability and service consistency.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our 5th Sandals stay, our first at Grenada.

This is a long review, so bear with me.

We stayed in the Italian Bi-Level swim up butler suite. Absolutely loved this room category. The living area was spacious, as was the bathroom. It was nice to have a make-up vanity area separate from the large sink space. It was also nice to have the large soaking tub on the patio. Since we traveled in October, it was rainy but, in the evenings, we filled the tub with hot water and when that became a bit much, it was great to swim in the pool. The best part of the room was our Butlers! We clicked with all three. Brent, Kervin and Neron made our trip! We laughed and shared stories and truly all three of them made our trip very memorable.

TIP: Research the time of year you are going to travel. This way you won’t be surprised if the weather isn’t what you thought it should be in the tropics. I knew going in that October was part of the rainy season, so I wasn’t surprised that we only had 2 days of sun during our nine day stay. We improvised and made good use of the hot tub by the quiet pool. Wet is wet right?

TIP 2: YouTube has tons of videos on room types. You can get a good feel of what room you may want. The Sandals website does a good job laying out what comes with your room. Luxury level means beer, sodas and juices in your mini fridge. No room service.
Club level means a bar along with the same stocked fridge as above and room service until 10 p.m.
Butler means better liquors in your bar, the same stocked fridge and 24 hour room service.
Not sure why people complain about what is or isn’t included when the information is easily found.

TIP 3: We found the bed to be quite hard. Asked for a topper and that same day it was on the bed. It made all the difference. Just sorry we didn't ask for it sooner. (waited until day 3).

We managed to eat at all the restaurants in some form or fashion. Our Butler team had all of our reservations for our stay already made upon arrival, but had no issue with us wanting to eat at Butches twice. We really liked all of our meals but I will say that service at the French Restaurant was very slow. We enjoyed every meal we had. Breakfast was primarily buffet, tho we did do room service and it was delivered at the exact time specified by our Butler. A special shout out to Sasha who made us wonderful omelets at the Italian restaurant. I will say tho that we were not offered a menu at breakfast that is shown on the app and website. Benefit of the doubt here, we also didn’t ask for a menu. So that may have been the disconnect, but I shouldn’t have to ask for a menu when it clearly outlines one.

TIP: Read the dress code requirements before you pack. They are easily found on the website and you’ll know what is expected. I personally like the fact that at a few of the restaurants they “require” a dressier attire. It’s not like you have to wear a 3-piece suit or tie and jacket. Merely a collared shirt, long pants and closed toe shoes. It adds to the atmosphere IMO. Us girls spend time getting ready for dinner, so to have my husband put on something nice means something to me. LOL

We did two massages at the spa. Keisha and Osmond, miracle workers! I also had a pedicure that was delightful (I chipped all my polish in the hot tub) I just wish I could remember her name.

We also really enjoyed that the Tipsy Turtle was more of a true bar instead of another entertainment space with loud, thumping music. Can’t remember the head bartender’s name, but he took his job very seriously and was constantly cleaning, engaging with guests and making terrific cocktails. If it helps those in the know, he worked on a cruise ship for years. It was nice to talk with other couples and enjoy some wonderful cocktails.

TIP: The island does in fact have a supply chain issue. There is no top shelf whiskey, bourbon or scotch to be found anywhere. (They did have Johnny Walker Black, Jack Daniels, Titos and Dewars along with Gordons and lots of Vodka options. I did confirm the supply issue with our private tour guide, (more on that in a minute). So, was I but taken aback that they didn’t have Crown, Makers or Chivas? Yes. Did I take a few moments to ask why and then ask someone outside of the Sandals chain? Yes. Some things just can’t be helped in this day and age. But if this is important to you, you might want to wait a few months for them to get things sorted out.

We booked a private tour with a local guide. Mandoo was his name and I cannot speak more highly of the history and knowledge of the island he provided. We have taken a few Island Routes tours during our past trips and they were awesome! But knowing that we might not make it back to this particular Sandals we wanted to get to know the island. I will say that spoke with several couples who said the Jeep tour was a blast and had a great time.

The grounds. Sandals outdoes themselves IMO in this department. They are immaculate and truly something. Take a moment and realize how much effort goes into maintaining it all. Those gardeners are truly masters at their craft. There must be hundreds of different kinds of flowers and plants.

TIP: Find your way to the tennis courts. You’ll encounter a path ladened with flowering shrubs. It is something out of Narnia.

Nightly entertainment was fun. I will say that during the day much of the games and such was very much focused on the “party pool” and the Livingroom. It would have been nice to see some more effort placed upon the beach. Just because we are in our 50’s and don’t want the super party vibe doesn’t mean we don’t want to have any fun either. Only once during our stay did we see any entertainment staff. There could be fun had at the quiet pool that engages guests without thumping music. Charades or something like that could be a way to bridge that gap.

The beach is rather small. You can walk quite a ways past the water sports area tho. Not miles long but not 30 feet either. The sand is a rocky type sand. Not the type that hurts when you walk on it, but not “fluffly” like the sand in Jamaica or the Bahamas. It would be great if the rings in the ocean were cleaned. We have stayed at Royal Plantation and this was part of their daily routine. It is just icky to lay in something covered in algae.

Housekeeping was outstanding. I went back to our room to retrieve my sunglasses and no joke, the mattress was pulled off the bed and there was a member of staff wiping off the the slats of bedframe. I joked and said something like, did we do something? And he said, no this was part of the housekeeping protocol. Doubt any hotels in the US do that on a regular basis.

Final thoughts.

I would 100% recommend this particular Sandals. The staff were all gracious and we only encountered one that seemed to be working for tips. Everyone else was super friendly and full of smiles. Genuinely nice and welcoming. It is a small resort, only 200 some odd rooms so expect a different vibe than one of the larger ones. The party pool is great for those wanting the vibe of a larger resort while the quiet pool removes you from that if you want.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK! I mean if you spend hours researching a new phone, why not spend a few minutes on a vacation that you spent thousands on?
Google maps/Earth will give you aerial imagery of how long the beach is.
A quick search of Grenada beaches and you instantly learn it is a volcanic island with some black sand. Another search and you learn that all beaches on Grenada are public. That means you will have a few people (we only encountered 2) selling their wares. This is nothing that the resort by national law can deter. Public means public. A simple no thanks is good and they move on. In fact, if you say a polite no thanks, they really don’t bother you anymore. Even on subsequent days. In the end they are just trying to get by, so no harm, no foul in my book.

Take the time to read up on the room categories. This way you aren’t disappointed. You’ll know if you get room service, a mini bar, etc.

Also take the time to commend the staff. I mean if you walk by a gardener pulling weeds, how hard is to say we really appreciate you? Seeing that the bar staff at the livingroom is being inundated with guests that are already there in addition to the ones that just arrived waiting to get to their room, is it so hard to say, wow you are swamped? I can wait three minutes for you to get to me. What’s a few minutes wait when you are on a beautiful island you and aren’t at work?

As far as Butlers reserving chairs by the beach or pool. We were told in no uncertain terms that if we were not there by 11 a.m. they would remove our reservation. We were always there before that time and I did witness Butlers removing the reserved signs to allow others to take advantage. Which I thought was fair. It is ok to go and grab a bite to eat, not ok to reserve a spot and never use it. Seemed to us that the Butlers were consciousness of this.

If you think you might want to do another Sandals vacation, book while on the resort. You will 100% get the best deal that way.

This was our fourth visit to a sandals property , previously been to Ochi, La Toc and Antigua. The flight from the UK is longer than the other island’s as you have to go via St Lucia ( or Antigua) and wait on the plane for an hour but when you land in Grenada it’s literally only 5 mins to the resort so no long transfer. For the first time we chose a luxury level room as we didn’t like the look of the club level rooms ( not many at this resort) and we were not disappointed , we stayed in the south seas hideaway luxury poolside walkout , very spacious, modern and beautifully furnished with luxurious bedding and bathrobes. The shower ( and sink) is in the room with a frosted glass screen which some people may not like but it didn’t bother us , separate toilet and a separate large walk in closet with a safe, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer which was pretty good. There is wine and beer in the fridge along with soft drinks, and tea/coffee facilities, if we were short of anything and we asked it was brought to us immediately ( better service than concierge in Antigua). We had a large patio with a table and chairs , one comfy lounger and a large soaking tub, we spent a lot of time out here it was so relaxing , I didn’t think I’d use the soaking tub when we arrived but I absolutely loved it ( take some pegs for the curtains for modesty) . Right outside of these rooms is a lovely infinity pool with several loungers which we had no problems getting one daily at some point. N.B you have to walk up a steep incline to get to these rooms so may not suit everyone. The resort itself is beautiful, it’s extremely clean and very modern with immaculate gardens. The main pool with the swim up bar was lovely and warm and we managed to find sun loungers most days there too if we wanted them. The beach is fairly small but it’s lovely, it’s in 2 coves and the water is the clearest I’ve seen in the Caribbean and very calm so great for swimming and snorkelling. The food here was mostly excellent probably the best of all sandals we have been to( closely followed by la toc) , superb steaks and lamb chops at Butches so make sure you get booked in when you arrive. Particularly loved spices and the french restaurant as well. We had breakfast most days at spices or the Italian restaurant ( loved the Italian lady that runs this) and the buffets were as always excellent. The staff were overall extremely welcoming and friendly and we met some great people from all over the world. We booked a private driver one day for 4 hours through island routes and he took us all over the island and up into the rain forest and we loved it, the driver was extremely knowledgeable and it really is a beautiful so worth the trip to see the real Grenada . Excellent sunsets from the pier at the resort , lovely to watch the sun go down with a cocktail. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort and we hope to return in the future.

Sandals Grenada was beautiful! It is literally 5 minutes from the airport but you don’t hear planes when you’re there. The staff was amazing and the food was excellent. The grounds are also gorgeous and well maintained. We got a junior suite that walked out to the waterfall pool. The pool is technically not private but no one really uses it except the people in the rooms (4 rooms per pool). We actually never saw any other guests use the pool during our one week stay so it almost felt private. The size of the property is perfect for a week, more than that may get a little repetitive. Our favorite restaurants were Butch’s, Kimonos and Le Jardinier but all the food was great.

My only complaint was the lounge chairs - the program says you cannot reserve lounge chairs until 6:30 am. So two days in a row my husband and I got up that early to get chairs and literally every single lounger at the pool was taken. We arrived at 6:32 am and there is no way on earth that they waited until 6:30 to start reserving chairs. It was very clear that butlers were out there very very early getting chairs for their guests. I understand that those guests paid a lot of money, but if you have a rule on time when chairs can be reserved, everyone, including butlers, should be required to follow it. One night we heard a butler speaking with his guests them to make sure the lounges looked lived in so that they can stay in them all day. It really isn’t fair that the rules don’t apply to the butler room guests.

The only other thing I’d point out is that the average guest age was pretty high - I’d say 60s. My husband and I are 40, but we’re very fit and active so it was a little awkward being one of the few “young” people there. We would get stares everywhere we went because we stood out so much. They were all very friendly but it definitely was a bit uncomfortable. Also the music was geared towards older ones so that is something to consider. I am not sure I’d recommend this resort to someone in their 20s or early 30s for that reason. We normally stay at Secrets and I think that brand better fits us, though I do like the Sandals locations.

Overall our stay was great and we especially loved the goodbye the staff gave us.

I am not one to write reviews but have made an exception in this case. My wife and I spent a week at Sandals in Grenada over the New Year’s holiday. The overall experience was very poor and is outlined below. I would not recommend staying at the Grenada Sandals as there are much better resorts in the Caribbean, especially for those who have food allergies.
For New Year’s Eve we wanted to have dinner at Chops and while we were waiting for our room to be ready on the day of arrival could only get a reservation at 9pm. We were a little disappointed when we showed up and the restaurant was only half full.
The biggest issue we had was with my wife’s Gluten Allergy. I had listed her allergy on our Sandals Profile, but this did not get communicated to the staff in Grenada. The first night for dinner was a struggle as the wait staff didn’t fully understand what was Gluten Free on the menu even though there was a Gluten Free icon at the bottom nothing on the menu was listed as Gluten Free. The next day my wife got what she was told was a Gluten Free pastry from Café’ De Paris. About an hour later the Hotel Manager found us on the beach to inform my wife that he pastry she was told was Gluten Free was not! My wife has celiac disease and when she has gluten causes serious intestinal discomfort. During our conversation with the Hotel Manager we were told that there was Culinary Concierge that could assist with dinner options a day in advance. This would have been helpful information at check in.
The next day my wife asked again about the ice cream in the Café’ De Paris and was told that it was gluten free. She wasn’t convinced and went to the newly found Culinary Concierge and had them check, she was told that the ice cream did have gluten to her dismay. So now two days in a row she was given gluten, so we thought. About an hour later the Hotel Manger found us on the beach to let us know that they had called the manufacture of the ice cream and confirmed it was Gluten Free even though their Culinary staff said it wasn’t. This infuriated me because they didn’t know what was GF and what wasn’t.
Dino’s had very good GF pizza. I was amazed at the lack of knowledge the staff had regarding how to handle the GF pizza. They used parchment paper to keep from coming into contact with flour in the brick oven which was proper. However, I had to stop them from placing the GF pizza on the cutting board used for Gluten Pizza.

Hello and thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are disheartened to learn that your stay was not a memorable one. At Sandals, the safety and well being of our guests is of utmost importance, we have significant experience when it comes to catering to a wide range of strict dietary requirements. By providing thousands of guests a year across all of our resorts with our special dietary program on a daily basis, we have developed a reputation for providing safe, nutritious, and diverse meals. Our chefs, kitchen mangers and staff are particularly well versed on the increasing need to cater for those with serious food allergies. We follow strict protocols when dealing with those who have serious and life-threatening allergies, including: the separate preparation of food to avoid any possible cross contamination, reading and sharing all ingredients of the products being served to the affected customer, ensuring that silverware is thoroughly clean but changed if guests request, and that the food is served only by a designated person in order to avoid any contact with possible allergens. We are confident that all of our resorts continue to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for those guests that have strict dietary requirements. However, as part of our ongoing efforts to improve all aspects of our operations, we will use this unfortunate event to revisit our protocols for meeting the wide-ranging dietary requirements of our guests to make sure that, above all else, everyone remains safe and well. Our team is always ready to assist and eager to ensure that your vacation is stress-free. At this time I would like to encourage you to share further details of this experience along with any other lingering concerns with us at customersupport@sandals.com. It is our sincere hope that this past trip has not deterred you from visiting again as we would like the opportunity to regain your trust in our brand.

The grounds at sandals Grenada are gorgeous. I have found the air conditioning in all the facilities to be outstanding. The food at Bush's Chop House is amazing. The rest of the food at other restaurants is average. There are 2 buffets for breakfast plus 1 sit down breakfast and the food again is average. The rooms in the lovers lagoon area, where we stayed, have been very nice. I would say that maintenance is not done on a routine basis, as evidenced by the rug in our room which was totally matted down and very dirty, covered in stains. We did informed the management of that and a new rug was received the same day, amazingly! The chair in our room has a hole in it and the upholstery looks very worn. My husband is a diver and has found the diving to be good to very good depending on the day and dive location. We usually go to Jamaica each February. We have yet to decide if we will return to this property next year or return to our favorite in Jamaica.I would suggest that if you want to come to this property you bring mosquito repellent. They fog each day for mosquitoes but I am still seeing a lot of people with bites and I have continued to wear mosquito repellent the entire time. One downside to this property are the Butler's. It seems that many of the rooms are Butler suites. The butlers are out every morning at 5::30 a.m. to get beach and poolside chairs set up for their guests. We are getting up at 5:30 each morning just to find 2 chairs by the pool.Anyone arriving after 9:00 a.m. will not have poolside chairs. All chairs around the pool, including the cabanas, are obtained on a 1st come 1st served. Also the only restaurants that require a reservation are the habachi grill comeau nose and Butch is chophouse. However since the butlers are permitted to make reservations for their gas at all restaurants it is sometimes difficult to get in to the restaurants unless you have a Butler. If you do get a Butler sweet, there is a tipping required for the bottlers at I understand a large fee per day per Butler so you will need to bring cash for that check it out on their website. The only other employees that are permitted to be tipped are the people in the spa. We found the spot to be very nice although a bit pricey. We attempted to chip a cocktail waitress, and she returned it to us saying she could not accept them so needless to say we are not tipping.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We apologize for any inconvenience as it relates to maintenance issues. We put forth our best efforts to make certain all aspects of our resort are functioning and up to par. However despite this, sometimes unexpected events do occur. Unfortunately, our warm Caribbean climate does make us more susceptible to intrusion from certain insects, however we do have continuous pest control programs in place which include daily fogging in an effort to keep these insects at bay as much as possible. Where the indigenous sand-flies are concerned, we are certainly doing the best we can to deter their presence and we regret if the results of our ongoing efforts were not more to your satisfaction. We only hope that there would have been some redeeming moments during your stay which you will permit to outweigh any dismay you may have felt, as we would like nothing more than for another opportunity to regain your confidence in the Sandals and Beaches brand.

My wife and I just returned from our second visit to Sandals Grenada (a too short 7 night stay). Last year in January 2019 we had our first visit (anniversary celebration) which was impacted by the fact that my wife was on crutches throughout the stay so it was our desire to return this year for the full experience. We were not disappointed.
As with our first visit, we took advantage of Butler service and our team of Butlers (Jaime, Davy and Willem) stated upon arrival that they are the "A" team and they lived up to that description. They went beyond the call of duty and provided us with the best of care anyone can expect. I should note that all the Butlers onsite seemed to have the same manner and commitment to service but our team clearly shined.
For those planning to travel to Grenada, and you want to check a weather forecast, do not do the Weather Channel or Accuweather. These two services provide weather reports for St. Georges which is not the same weather for Sandals Pink Gin Beach. I looked at the 10 day forecast for St. Georges before traveling and it had rain showers forecast for each day. Upon arrival, one of the Butlers pointed out that St. Georges is where the rain forest is and we had no rain at all while we were there for 8 days.
While the entire trip was enjoyable a few things are worth special note.
One, the Sunset Cruise is well worth the money. It is a short ride to the port where the catamaran is located and the Captain and staff were fantastic. We also had the chance to take some amazing pictures of the port city and surrounding areas and the sunset is amazing.
We also thoroughly enjoyed all of the restaurants on the premises with our favorite being Butch's Steakhouse. Food and service in all of the restaurants were top notch and first class and there was no delay or waiting. Again, we benefited from our Butlers scheduling all of our dinners so I cannot speak to the process for those who would need to make their own reservations. For returning couples, the Welcome Dinner was a big hit and I strongly suggest attending for those who are invited.
As to accommodations, we stayed in a split level swim up room. My only complaint regarding the pool is that it is not heated and we really did not use it. I spoke to the General Manager about this at the Welcome Dinner and I do not believe plans are in place for that to happen so for those who are seeking to book such a room, be on notice that the pool can be a little cold but it is refreshing. Some of the furnishings in the room can use updating but that in no way changed the fact that the room we stayed in was spacious and well designed.
I am a coffee drinker and I did not find the in room coffee maker to be that great and I suggest Sandals consider something on the line of a Keurig single cup coffee maker. However, the coffee at Cafe de Paris is great as it is in all of the other locations where it is served and of course on the Butler level there is always room service.
I am a big fan of Sandals and while there we booked our next trip and was given great assistance from the Sandals Loyalty staff in assisting with that reservation on site.

This was our first time in Grenada and first time in a Sandals Resort, and we would do both again. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. We travelled before the coronavirus really hit the UK but on arrival at the hotel, you could see that they took hygiene very seriously. The welcome was warm and friendly and we were met with a glass of bubbly before being taken to our room by Jeremy, the Customer Manager, who was very friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Here is a summary of our experience in the hotel:
Accommodation: We had a beach front room on the Pink Gin beach, which was very practical, well stocked mini bar and bathroom. The room was very clean, had turn down service, and housekeeping couldn't do enough to help if we needed it.
Hotel: Well laid out and of course was not too busy due to the restrictions on travel. There were plenty of sunbeds and room to move around and plenty to do on the resort. The sea could be a little rough but nothing to stop swimming or snorkelling.
Staff: What can I say - from the day we arrived to the day we left we were extremely well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble, constant supply of drinks around the pool & beach and the staff were so friendly! We remarked on how every single member of staff genuinely looked and acted as though they loved their job. They always had a smile on their face, and were happy.
Food: There was 10 restaurants on site and we visited them all with the exception of the Sushi one. We never had a bad meal, food was exceptional in every restaurant, breakfast was to die for and you could practically eat all day if wanted.
All in all it was a fantastic hotel with fantastic staff and we would definitely return. We were the last to leave the resort, on the last commercial flight off the island, and for 2 days there were 6 of us left on the resort. The service didn't change, we were still very well looked after, in fact, it was even better! The hotel manager kept us informed when there was doubt over whether our flight would be running or not. When they found out there was a limited food service on the flight, we were provided with a beautiful package of sandwiches, salads, cakes and fruit from the hotel to ensure we would have something on the plane.
Would definitely recommend, and we will be returning!

This was our second trip to sandals, first to Grenada. In general the place is lovely and rooms nice but the service was average and waiting times far too long.

We struggled to get into restaurants; even on our check in we were told that Butches had been booked into the next week, after we were scheduled to stay. We had to continuously check for any openings at the desk. The non reservation restaurants were also overpacked with long waiting times and slow service. The food quality was good.

I get the impression that the all inclusive aspect of the resort is primarily for the benefit of those who book the butler service rooms. Simple things like getting a chair at the beach shouldn’t be a worry that necessitates early wake up when on vacation at an expensive location.

This didn’t live up to our experience in St Lucia and we won’t be going back to this Sandals.

This was my 25th anniversary trip with my wife and we were very excited to visit Grenada. The excitement ended on our 2nd day of our 7 day stay. It didn’t take long to discover if you hadn’t paid for the butler service you were in trouble here. Our 1st full day here I went to secure a chair at the pool around 8:30 and discovered if your not up before 5 AM your chances of a lounger are next to zero! Every chair and umbrella were taken with reserved signs on about 90% of them placed there by the butlers, it was the same way on the beach. I spoke with a beach attendant and his exact comment was “You have to beat the butlers down”, tried that for the next 5 days it never happened. Same at the swim up bar area as well.
The restaurants were good, not great although we met some servers and managers that were outstanding. The bar tender in Soy and the Filipino manager that floated between about 4 restaurant locations were outstanding. One of the servers at the pool was about as unprofessional as I have ever seen at a supposed 5 Star resort. The grounds here are beautiful and well maintained and the weather was great. We will not be back, to many other locations in the Caribbean where it may not be all inclusive but the beaches, food and service in my mind are way better then here.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to share your Sandals Grenada experience with us. We have not had similar complaints regarding our standards for service and the quality of our offerings, we are respectful of the opinions you have expressed and recognize that one person’s specific experience can only be judged by that individual as we strive to keep the highest standard of quality and service. We value all of our guests and aim to provide each with an incredible vacation experience regardless of their chosen accommodations and there are no identifying marks or wristbands indicating a difference in due service. Additionally, we do have a policy regarding sunbeds where those that are observed to not have been in use for some time are made available for other guests. Our service has been one of the features that guests have continuously raved about in reviews; therefore we are sincerely sorry if your experience was not more indicative of the norm. Please be aware that each of our resorts employs a Director of Guest Services who remains available to assist should you encounter anything that falls below your standards, as we truly wish for nothing more than for each and every guest to have a wonderful time with us. Should you choose to visit any of our properties again in the future, we would certainly welcome the opportunity to surpass your expectations and demonstrate our commitment to guest satisfaction.

I have been to many resorts and this is the friendliest resort I have ever been to with all the employees I encountered loving their job and loving their guests. Ever staff member I passed for an entire week including housekeeping greeted me and wished me a great day. They were always trying to bring me a drink and make sure everything was great. The resort is lovely from the moment you drive in and is only 5 minutes from the airport which is great so you can start enjoying your vacation right away. The food was delicious in every restaurant I went to. The resort is beautiful in the day and night. Flowers in the day and extremely clean and at night mood lighting and gas fires create a mood of calm and romantic beauty. My room was attended to during the day with fresh towels and fresh towels were always provided at turn down service. I had a deep soaking tub on my balcony. I enjoyed relaxing in the evening listening to the waves lap against the shore as I decompressed in my tub. The ocean has breakwaters so it has waves in the swimming areas but they are not overwhelming. There are a number of floating plastic circles ihn the ocean about 7 feet around some with nets so you can just sunbathe in the ocean in them and others just to hang onto and chat. I went snuba swimming to a site where there are statues underwater. it was great and I saw more and a variety of fish than I have seen in a long time in my snorkeling adventures. In the afternoons I was at the pool. One pool has a swim up bar. The bar staff were exceptional and you could see they really enjoyed their job by dancing to the music while pouring drinks. The beach has lots of chairs and hammocks. I Highly recommend Sandals Grenanda for a romantic or just want to get away from stress vacation.

They’re doing great!! Most of the damage was far north of them. The airport reopened and a few trees were damaged. The resort staff took excellent care of guests during a short stay in room period and guests then had some free days comped to future stays

We had an evening flight back to the UK. There is free transportation back to the airport and you can use all the facilities on your last day and book a slot at the reception desk to use the shower/changing facilities. Sandals will give you all this information the day before departure. It all worked really well. Have a great holiday, it’s a beautiful place!
