The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there 4 nights. They promise to service the room every 3rd night, but we did not receive this service. Since we arrived back at the room late on the third night, it was too late to complain and we were checking out the next day. Our only other complaint is that the lobby and stairway tile floors were very dirty and sticky. The hallway carpet floors were very dirty when we arrived but they got around to vacuuming them on the second day of our stay. If you stay there be sure to request the level of room servicing you want up front.

This Comfort Inn is in a good location, handy to major highways and shopping, and a five minute drive to downtown. It is situated in an industrial type area that is not free of garbage or the occasional sketchy person, but there are several restaurants, mostly take-away, in walking distance. I found this hotel to be well managed and clean, check- in was fast, and the front desk staff friendly and efficient. There is no elevator in this two story building. Our room (#218) was spotless, the bed firm and the pillows fine. The complimentary breakfast featured the usual assortment of eggs, sausage, toast, muffins, bagels, fruit, coffee- the perfect way to start your day.

checking in was easy however, the clerks talked to each other in their language and I felt ignored. My room was not ready so I was given an upgrade for the same price. Room was clean however, only had one garbage container. Grab bars on the shower would have been an asset. No TV guide and No area information in the room.
before 7 am a car horn blared for about 1/2 hours which was very annoying. Do not know what the staff could do but maybe contact the car owner to stop the noise.

No expectation when I booked the room, as I only stayed for 1 night and looked for a budget room. However, it is really out of my expectation, clean and comfort! Very convenience as it is just off from Hwy 400. A plaza next to the motel and no worries of hungry.
Under $100 (after tax) and even include breakfast. My room is 1 king size bed and room size is bigger than those 5 stars hotel. Must go back if I visit Barrie again.

After reading some of the reviews on this hotel I felt it was necessary to write a review from the perspective of someone who had to stay here for more than a night or a weekend. While this hotel needs updating the rooms and hotel are very quiet and clean. This hotel is located off the highway and is convenient for anybody, including but not limited to construction workers. unfortunately the hotel is cleaned during the day and on occasion when the construction workers arrive after a long day at work there work boots or gear have dirt/mud on them which gets tracked into the hotel lobby, stairway or hallways but is always cleaned in the morning. The breakfast that is provided is hot and delicious and their always enough to have seconds. The rooms are priced reasonable and are extremely quiet that you rarely hear anything. The staff make sure that your stay is comfortable and go above and beyond to accommodate any of your needs Many thanks to the managers Richard and Heather and the team at the Comfort Inn

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The first room we checked into on the first floor had a strong smell of cleaner and I have allergies. We asked for the room because we had a heavy suitcase and the hotel does not have an elevator. Pankaj was very accommodating in letting us check out another room on the second floor and making the change . He also brought our suitcases up to our second floor room for us and was very professional and compassionate in accommodating our needs. The hotel is in a hill so the second floor does have level access to the parking lot for guests who arrive by car and cannot carry luggage up stairs. Breakfast is on the main floor so 2nd floor guests need to be mobile enough to handle stairs.

My family checked in after a 5 hour drive the room smelled of smoke but we were late for a dinner so we left thinking oh well we are only sleeping here. 🙄. So we didn’t complain, then once home I seen they charged me a $250.00 fee after calling it was because of the smoke smell we also smelt when we arrived!! Me and my husband are NON SMOKERS! So we are falsely accused for this and they are saying there is nothing they can do!! Give us our money back that’s what you can do!! Other hotels are also on this road I would stay there instead!

During check In reception clerk asked us to deposit $150 thru credit card, I never heard and experienced this practice in any other Comfort Inn, when we went to our assigned room it was quite dirty, water leaking from AC and they put towel to spread the water, Holes on the curtain, Window fly proofing net was in pieces, found hair on bed and pillow which means they didn't change the sheets and pillow covers, worst part was washroom which was quite dirty and stains on Wc. On our request changed the room, it was little better but house keeping was also very poor, Shower mixer was leaking at below faucet so no pressure on shower, alarm clock was not working, no chair for the table, phone wires were scattered on the floor. Most of the breakfast items were finished before the designated time, there was only one guy working and he was arranging and cooking and also working as reception clerk. Very disappointed with this hotel and this is worst Comfort Inn I have ever stayed.

As soon as I finished my check a woman came to the front desk complaining that the bathroom had not been cleaned ie sand inthe bathtub, toothpaste on the counter, ring in the toilet. We were booked into room 108. One of the first things I do is check the beds. Low and behold when I pulled back the sheets there was not only dirt on the sheets but a lighter in the middle of the bed. Disgusting to say the least! The bathrooms were relatively clean but I didn't expect this dirt during covid. I would never stay again and would recommend no one stay here. I think I should have received a huge discount for feeling very uncomfortable for the night. We had had a long days moving and were looking forward to a good nights rest. Not!!!! The desk clerk was apologetic and put us in a cleaner foom but the hallways looked as though they had never seen a vacuum. Not impressed in the least. My recommendation. Avoid this place at all costs.

We checked into this hotel and upon going to our room, we found open sugar in coffee tray, dirty floors, garbage that was never emptied from previous guests. Beds were made, but never changed from previous guests. Dirty furnishings all over. Towels and amenities were the only things new and clean. Cigarette butter all over the entrances.

This property has gone smoke free now. The breakfast has hot and cold items, make your own waffles, toast, cold eggs, hot and cold cereal and if I remember correctly there were scrambled eggs and sausage.
This motel is quite near busy hwy. 400 and other busy areas if planning on snow mobiling instead of driving pulling trailer of machines whole trip..not quite sure where trails are in reference to this motel..sure snowmobile clubs / maps can answer this question..
Front parking lot housed a big camping trailer which seemed to be used at that time and still enough vehicle parking easily.back motel parking is plentiful too ,many company vehicles were parked there..but security not certain..sure motel would be able to comment on that..
Enjoy your trip / stay, Barrie is a beautiful , busy city..
