My hotel view faced the building of Panama but I liked this because I was on the 14th floor and was able to get great views of the city and the buildings. The floor with the pool, spa, and exercise room had a nice view as well. I had room service 3 nights and it always came in less than 30 minutes. I liked the meat flatbread. I ordered the club sandwich and was a little shocked the club was warm. I am used to having clubs when the meat is cold. I ordered the Penne Bolognese from Peacock Alley and ordered it again via room service. It was really good. The hotel has two elevators but one elevator wasn't working. They left a note in my room and put two chocolate candies with the note. I thought that was sweet. They turned down my room and left the jazz music station on at night. They called me twice to make sure my room was ok during my stay.
My only complaint is once they saw I was the only person staying in my room, housekeeping only left one wash cloth. I like to use a second wash cloth in the morning for my face and I don't want to use the wash cloth that was used to clean my body. When I called housekeeping they came and brought me another wash cloth. The front desk staff spoke and understood great English. The breakfast staff was very friendly as well. One morning they forgot to put the syrup out and when I got my pancakes I noticed it was missing. The omelet chef went and got the syrup as soon as I was looking for it.

Overall it is a great hotel,and the staff is amazing! The concierge gave great recommendations for places to eat, we had some excellent meals thanks to her! As an amenity when we checked in we had a nice cheese platter, food on the pool deck was great and big portions and the drinks were good and decently priced. The toiletries in the room are the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. Salvatore Ferragamo shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and shower gel. Breakfast was a buffet and service was great as well
The hotel shows its age and the rooms were a bit old, also the pool isn’t too nice, specially the view since it is in front of 2 old and not well maintained buildings , another negative point was the fact that there was no wine opener in the room and to open the bottle they would charge a “decorking fee” or wait for someone to come to the room to open it. Even if breakfast was included, tips were not even if we had a food and beverage credit that we didn’t fully use, which is a bit weird, but can’t complain about it given the superior service level.
In general great hotel in a good location!

As it was my first time to Panama City I chose a smaller hotel in a central location. The Waldorf was perfect. The staff are very friendly and attentive. They work extremely hard to make your stay perfect. Our room was spotless at all times and completely stocked a couple times daily with Salvatore Ferragamo toiletries, coffee and tea, water etc. The lobby and pool are very well kept with inviting decor and gave the vibe of a small boutique style hotel. Several dining options are available within walking distance. There is also a small market across the street where you can purchase beer, wine, snacks, amazing cheeses etc. The breakfast at the hotel had a great selection for breakfast with a beautiful terrace to enjoy the Panama City skyline. The service we received at breakfast was incredible. The staff not only provided fantastic personalized service but gave us travel tips and useful advice on navigating the city. Dailin Morales, Rollizo, and William made sure we felt welcome and we truly appreciated the five star treatment. Looking forward to returning soon!

At first glance you may feel the hotel is dated but soon you realize you are experiencing Panama City of past, retro not dated. The service is personal and welcoming from the tropical juice served at checkin to friendly smiles on all employees. Large variety of room sizes are available and prices are very reasonable compared to other cities of the same size. Food and beverage is good and bar is accommodating for intimate or group. Breakfast never disappoints.

Jorge at the front desk is extremely rude and condescending to guests. I was shocked this was a Waldorf Astoria.
The pool has only 1 person handling food, towels, everything, and he's mostly hiding behind the bar on his phone.
Tried to call the front desk once and no one answered for about 5 minutes, so I had to go downstairs.
Definitely do not suggest this hotel.

When we arrived we received a warm greeting from Lille (concierge and front desk) and a cold drink. Everyone at the hotel was very friendy and welcoming. Lille was super in helping us set up our covid tests and answering our travel questions. There were 3 of us traveling and we were able to get connecting rooms. The rooms were large, clean and had great amenities. Large comfortable beds as always and nice shower with hot water and great pressure. Loved having the mini fridge in the room too. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with numerous fresh fruits, bakery items, meats, cheeses, an omelette station, fruit and veggie smoothies and attentive staff. The pool and hot tub were located a couple floors up and were a nice way to relax after a busy day exploring the city. The gym had a good selection of equipment and is located right by the pool. Overall this place provided a great experience at a super rate and is located in an easily walkable part of downtown Panama City giving you chances to explore on your own without needing a car.

Panama is beautiful, the people are kind, and the food is fantastic. Staying at the Waldorf Panama put a huge damper on my four day “relax and not lift a finger” vacation away from Chicago winter and life insanity. The staff was incredible (shoutout to Lille and Antonio), but read on for the myriad of issues I had.
It was awful from the start. I booked a car to be at the airport when I arrived after a long flight. There was no one to be found, so I emailed the hotel (cellular wasn’t working) only to find the driver had a flat tire and they were sending a new car. I’d been waiting 25 minutes already, and while I know a flat tire can’t be controlled, the driver should have left for the airport sooner, that way, a secondary car could have been sent instead of leaving me in the cold with no notification.
When I finally arrived to my room, there was no coffee for the machine and the overflow tray hadn’t been emptied leaving me with a full tray of dirty water, which made me wonder how clean the room was if this hadn’t been noticed. The duvet cover was literally on top of the comforter rather than in it, which is pretty gross. (This was fixed the second night without having to ask.) The paper on the phone with the directory was completely blank; there was a second phone that had problems connecting, but it at least had a directory.
I also received notice the pool would be closed on Saturday (day 2 of my stay). I had a catamaran tour that day, so I didn’t mind. The restaurant was also closed for a private event that night, so I had no access to a pool and no access to the restaurant. Room service was available, and the food was fantastic, but why am I paying a full rate at a five star hotel with no access to the most important amenities? When I got home from the catamaran tour that day, I had yet another letter telling me the pool would be closed through the rest of my stay. At this point I am upset. My five star vacation was turning into a disaster thanks to Waldorf. I was given access to the Hilton hotel pool about 5 minutes’ walk away. However, the Hilton is a conference hotel and there must have been something going on because it was impossible to get a chair or a drink. The staff at the Hilton pool were absolute rockstars at dealing with the crowded pool.
On day three, I came back from a “Monkey Island” tour (amazing!) to find that the hallways of my floor were being painted. They were very quiet and polite, so it wasn’t as much of a headache as I thought, but here I am again thinking I’m going on a five star vacation only end up in a 5-star hotel with no access to the pool, ongoing maintenance, a dirty room, and limited access to the restaurant.
I wish I could’ve come home completely relaxed, but Waldorf made sure that didn’t happen.
They offered 30% off 2/3 nights, which was 20% off my total stay. I appreciate the gesture, but it didn’t do much. A hotel with this many issues shouldn’t allow guests to stay or should tell them in advance so they can stay elsewhere.
I am done with the Hilton brand.

Right now in this hotel live here around 3 week . Terrible (!!!) room service, every day give food buy different way , absolutely don’t care how people will eat it . Wet nachos , Instead of a cheese plate, melted cheese, very bad steak.
Number very clean a lot of light in the room, it’s true , gym very small. In bathroom mixer is leaking, not work lock.
More not recommend this hotel , then recommend, sorry, I think manager need work with kitchen , it’s not motel .

We had four nights in Panama and decided to stay in the WALDORF ASTORIA. We had stayed with WA before in UAE but this was nothing like that experience.
We had been on the road for 6 weeks and booked a room with a bath. On the first morning I went to take a bath, as I sat on the edge of the bath I promptly slipped off, the bath on closer inspection was not connected to the floor and had rolled enough for me to slip off onto the floor.
Then I realised that the waster didn't get hot enough to have a hot bath, just a warm bath.
Next was a couples massage. Informed by email to be there 30 mins early, we duly arrived 30 minutes before. Then waited for 30 minutes, 3 minutes of filling out pre massage forms and then 27 minutes of freezing our asses off in a cold room.
The massage was in a room with a 72 degree Fahrenheit temperature. When my wife asked for more pressure in the massage she was told that was not possible.
We complained to the manager and were told we could have a 50%v discount at check out. We paid the bill the night before we were due to leave because of an early flight. At checkout, no discount, no note on the computer, nobody cared. We can sort it out in the morning...but there will be nobody who can help.
Just a total waste of time and money. Avoid this hotel. You're better off in any other hotel. Save your money and your time and go anywhere else.
No room service...still no hot water. Lastly, why do hotels sandwich a duvet between two sheets and say that is a made bed, it is fast to do I am sure but it is NOT hygienic.
