Situated only minutes away from the Penticton Convention Centre, South Okanagan Events Centre, Okanagan Hockey School, tennis courts and children's play park and close to golfing or take float down the river channel or enjoy a walk on the boardwalk and a short walk to the downtown area, this resort is also conveniently located within steps of some of Penticton's finest restaurants. We offer Studio rooms and one, two or three bedroom kitchen suites with full kitchen. The Spanish Villa Resort is a great place for families and seniors. The pool is closed seasonally from Sept 15 - May 15

Buyer beware of the small print cancellation policy. They have a 2 week cancelation policy, if you cancel within that, they forfeit your deposit of the first night. I paid $198 to secure a room and had to cancel 12 days prior to coming. They kept my deposit ad refused to credit me back. This is absurd in Covid 19 times. Everything is refundable, more than ever. I am now in a battle with my c/c trying to get it back from them. I obviously did not notice their policy when I booked, but I was also not looking closely as anyone knows, all travel is more or less refundable right now. So I paid $198 for nothing. TERRIBLE and unfair policy. Hotels.com appealed on my behalf as well to no avail.

We had a great time with friends, awesome location and the staff were so helpful. Rochita took care of everything to ensure we were taken care of! The check in process was really easy and we were able to complete on the drive there and all we needed to do was stop in front desk for the room number and code. Will book again!

Coffee was excellent. Water was hot. View was fantastic. Beds were comfortable.Only couple things I would change. Hair dryer was not working, the shaw box kept randomly shutting off, and I didn't get the rainfall shower they boast on the ad. Also wasn't to happy trying to contact the office for anything. Left my charging block at home and there was no USB port in site except the back of the shaw box which my phone was able to keep charge enough to stay alive.

When we arrived at the Spanish Villa there was no management on-site at all. The cleaning lady took our license plate and name to let the employees know that we had arrived and had gone on a tour. When we returned. there was staff in the office. Unfortunately, the poor woman fell when she was helping me. It was awful to see. She insisted she was okay but that was a nasty fall. We got to our rooms and left right away to another adventure. It was really hot that day, 38 degrees. When we returned, the girls' room didn't have cold water, the tub didn't drain and they didn't have air conditioning. They had a unit that made a terrible noise and banged every few minutes. My room had mugs that someone had drunk out of and wasn't cleaned as the coffee was congealed on the outside. We were outside trying to get a hold of someone who worked there. Office locked and no one answering the phone or the room we were to knock on if no one was in the office. Two girls were locked out of their room and couldn't get a hold of anyone. I told my daughter to try her key and unfortunately, it actually opened their door. The people in the room beside us asked us to try our key on their door and it opened theirs as well. This was now a scary situation as we didn't know how many keys opened others rooms. The girls didn't sleep that night as it was hot and noisy. They were able to get cold water from my room, but eventually, I went to sleep. The next day I saw a cleaner and a man on the top floor and asked if they worked there. The man stated he was the Manager. I explained to him everything that happened. He gave me an explanation that they had recently bought that motel and a couple of others. He told me of the one that they originally owned and he worked out of. I let him know that we and many others tried calling there as well and no one answered. He stated that the maintenance man was on sight and I let him know that he was not on sight and we banged on his door as did many other guests. He was very polite and apologetic. He did refund my money for the girl's room and discounted my room as well. I will not stay there again.

We arrived and the non-smoking room reeked of smoke. There were cords going across the bedroom door from the TV that were a huge tripping factor. The bathroom had weird brown stains on the walls and no fan in the bathroom. The pullout couch was filthy. There were no sheets on the mattress (or any to be found in the room) that must have been 30 yrs old. The springs on the mattress were poking through in a couple of spots and the side view looked like the Rocky mountains. We didn’t say anything about the mattress or the missed bedding that night because it was after 11pm. There was a memo on the table that stated that it was $100.00 charge for smoking outside and $300.00 for smoking in the room. Obliviously this did not include staff as they were seen smoking on the property. The kitchen table chairs were filthy and had multiple stains on the fabric. The fridge was dirty inside (I cleaned it). When we complained the next day. The manager/owner did his own investigation and got most of the facts wrong but did apologize when we straightened him out. He offered 15% off our next stay. Needless to say he did nothing for us with our current stay. We did get bedding for the hide a bed but it was for a twin not a double and I had to track down the maintenance guy just as he was leaving at 10:30 that night and get the right sheets otherwise we would again have had no sheets. We did not spend a lot of time in the room as it stunk so bad of cigarette smoke. All in all save your money and sanity and avoid this Motel. Oh yeah did I mention the broken beer bottle glass that was on the ground for the 2 days we were there.

This resort has gone recently through a change in ownership and is really a different place compared to the past.
The new owners know nothing about customer service nor do they spend a dime to maintain the place clean.
We had booked the room long time ago before the change in ownership with a flexible cancellation policy. The new owners have changed that policy and did not honour the conditions of the original reservation.
Once we entered the room and saw its condition we decided to leave by paying the first night but they refused to refund the rest of the week.
We were forced to stay but we had to disinfect all the bathroom ourselves and the shower curtain was so filthy we bought a new one from the store nearby and installed it ourselves.

We visited this hotel Spanish Villa in Penticton October 1-4. We had a great room facing the lake. Scott was the live in maintenance manager and takes pride in his job keeping the premises clean, we asked if there were microwaves on site and he had one in our room within minutes. Thanks for you exemplary service Scott, thanks to you, we will be back.

Had to stay there for a few months while waiting to move into my new place. First of all they charge you a $300 non-refundable clean up fee for when you leave. The floors were so dirty when i moved in there, the bottom of my feet turned back right away. Just disgusting. The whole time I was there, not once was there enough hot water to have a shower and I am talking under 5 minute shower. The microwave was one of the first ever built and took 8 minutes to warm a bowl of soup. Nobody is at the front desk, you have to drive to another hotel to get front desk service. The garbage cans near the front office are over flowing all the time. Just a complete dump. It is also way more expensive than many other better ones in town. I found that out a little late in the game. I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone.

The location was perfect for across the street beach access. It was July long weekend and it was at full capacity. The room stayed cool during the 30c weather. Housekeeping had the room ready for us for an early checkin request, which was greatly appreciated.

Like Dirty Sheets, Dead flies and a pile of Dirty towels left behind!??! Look no further than Spanish Villa!! Not to mention the most Ignorant personnel!!! My family including small kids drove 8h to check into this place for 3 nights at 3:30pm (online check in states 3pm) We walk into a dirty room with a pile of towels left from previous guests, dead flies smeared on windows, and dirty sheets with sand and dirt on them as later discovered after reception closed for the day. Called the main number listed on their website which no one picks up and no way to leave a voicemail! We resorted to buying our own bedding for this "wonderful getaway" The next day we asked reception to refund us for the 2 remaining days so we can book a room at another hotel which isn’t as unsanitary and were reminded about the No Refund Policy! Which neglects to state the Conditions of the room you will be checking into! We asked to speak to the manager and were initially refused their contacts but did obtain them later provided photo proof of the room condition we checked into and heard … crickets! Reception offered a 10% discount but refused to let check out early! Again reminding us about NO Refunds Policy! This place is outdated and dirty! No one should be expected to sleep on unchanged bedding sheets! Not to mention the fridge had no handle which should be an inexpensive fix for the price you pay to stay there! The worst accommodations and absolute worst customer service experience!
