The Ramada By Wyndham Kelowna Hotel & Conference Center is celebrated for its prime location, with easy access to shopping and dining options, and is a hit for its on-site pool and dining amenities. While the rooms are acknowledged as clean and comfortable, there are occasional remarks about them being slightly outdated and noisy. Reviewers consistently commend the service for its professionalism and promptness. However, some guests feel the decor throughout the hotel could use an update. Despite the odd mention of hard mattresses and booking rate discrepancies, many find the hotel to provide good value.

We stayed here for four days and feel the hotel is just OK. We are diamond members with Wyndham and we were expecting a more updated property. The mattress was so hard it made sleeping very difficult and normally I don’t have problems with mattresses in hotels. The room itself was OK, we paid extra to get a king suite and typically as a diamond member we would be offered a free upgrade but this did not happen. On the last day we were there we left at eight in the morning to go head out for a hike and came back at 3:55 and we were surprised that the room was being cleaned. So we asked the cleaning staff to just please leave the room as is as we were tired from being out all day. So that was a little surprising, in terms of the level of service. The location of the hotel is across the street from the mall and close to the Keg and Milestones, both those restaurants are within walking distance so that is convenient. I suggest a room on the top floor as we were on the second floor and had to call the front desk twice because of the noise coming from the room upstairs. Breakfast is not included at this hotel, which also is not typical for Wyndham hotels. There was a coffee maker in the room and a mini fridge and microwave. That is convenient to go out and keep things on hand to eat.

We had a bad experience the first time with this hotel but it wasn't the hotel's fault! We booked in July for a Hot Air Balloon flight but had to cancel due to forest fire smoke & visibility. We booked the Ramada through a 3rd party & we had trouble getting a refund! Hotel manager Stan M. went above & beyond to make it right by rebooking us for our stay in September. He even upgraded our suite & we were able to enjoy a very special Hot Air Balloon flight on a very warm & sunny September 3rd. We appreciate the warm & friendly Kelowna Ramada staff! We definitely recommend this hotel & we will definitely stay here the next time we are in Kelowna!

This property was priced fairly, while many other properties in Kelowna were taking advantage of the pandemic and wildfires. The accommodation sector in BC should be ashamed of themselves for gouging. This will come back to haunt them, and sadly the associated businesses that service, and rely on tourists.

I read a previous review about some man having bad service regarding his dogs in the hotel. I already booked the room on a sold out weekend and I decided to just clarify that I was bringing dogs just incase. Sure enough room is not dog friendly and I was told to contact booking.com to change my reservation.

We checked in to the Ramada, or at least thought we were. Our prebooked room wasn't ready until almost 7pm. We asked if we could have a late checkout since we had to wait and the answer was no. The hotel clerk was very hostile, and said they were fully booked, and did we want the room or not.

I really believe she is racist against Chinese. We watched 5 Caucasian couples line up, receive their keys and leave for their rooms. We were told to come back, she wouldn't check us in until our room was ready.

When we came back to check in and presented my ID, she asked me to come closer so she could indentify that I was not fraudently using the ID I presented. I said...I have stayed here many times before. Her reply...I know but I have to check anyways. She did not ask the Caucasians to do this.

Our room was located on the top floor, at the very end of the hotel. After trekking to our destination, our room keys did not work. We needed to go back to the front desk.

I travel the world and usually book +200 nights a year. I never thought I would receive such racist service in Kelowna. I am actually Irish/Chinese LOL and Canadian born. This is the first time I have ever commented on being racism. Never going to stay here again.

Stayed in this hotel last week. They charged for extra money for water bottle they put in the room and does not mention anywhere about charge. When you call them at front they said you used 2 bottles and charged for 2 bottles which we never used. Front desk is rude and not willing to help at all. Never recommend.

I've never written a poor review for a hotel, but this one deserves it. From smelly bedsheets and pillows to the 1970's furniture and air conditioner, this hotel is one of the worst. They fool you by making the lobby look modern, fresh and clean. The cheap windows open 6 inches. These should open more to remove the disinfectant spray they use. You can hear people walking and talking on the floor above, and people talking, using washroom and showers in the rooms beside you. I actually can't believe this is a Ramada by Wyndham property. It should be torn down and rebuilt. I would never recommend this hotel.

Perhaps the owners of Ramada should stay 1 night. I guarantee there would be immediate major changes.

Hotel was really nice and staff were great. Smittys food was trash. Cold, then partially cooked replacement pancakes and charged 20.00 for 3 . No more Smittys for this traveller why would they consider even charging after two attempts? Breakfast is suppose to be your “Game” You lose.

We booked a Hot Air Balloon ride in Kelowna B.C. to celebrate my birthday. We booked a room at the Ramada Hotel. We fully intended to stay at the Ramada & didn't cancel until the last minute because the balloon pilot called to tell us that due to VFR & bad visibility due to forest fire smoke in the area, our balloon flight had to be postponed! When we cancelled our reservation & explained why we had to cancel...the hotel blatantly refused a refund! This cancellation was beyond our control! We still will be taking the hot air balloon ride...probably in about 2 weeks when the smoke clears enough to fly. We will need a hotel in Kelowna for the night then, but Ramada has lost a customer FOREVER!! All potential Ramada customers beware...Ramada Kelowna refuses refunds even for an "Act Of God" such as Kelowna's forest fire smoke preventing our special event from taking place! Do yourselves a favor & don't stay here! This hotel has No Compassion!

We stayed April 27 and decided to return in August. I booked through GoSplitty .... what a huge mistake. I strongly urge people to check with the Better Business Bureau and GoSplitty reviews prior to booking with them. Long story short once you book through GoSplitty it is almost impossible to contact them. But if you use your desktop computer, and go to their website you will be able to cancel. They count on people giving up and then keep their money. Now shame on you Ramada in Kelowna. I called many times to see if you could assist me. Your argument that I booked through a third party, although accurate does not let you off the hook. You could have sent an email to Go Splitty, maybe made a phone call OR alter realizing that so many people are getting ripped off decided not to do business with this company. It is when you close your eyes to these types of situations you become part of the problem. I will say that your staff was very sympathetic, but sympathy does not pay the bills. You can do better Ramada, but you have to make the decision to put in the time and effort, and I believe your customers deserve better.

Hello Wendy, Firstly, I want to apologize for the inconvenience caused and we were disappointed to learn of the numerous difficulties you faced as our guest recently. When our guests book the hotel through any third party website, our front team can not modify the reservation on their behalf. We take matters such as this seriously. As a result, please allow us some time to look into this matter further.
