Detailed Reviews
The KOA campsite is generally tidy and the sraff are helpful. On the plus side the campground has direct access to extensive bike trails along the St Lawrence river. However, the negaties are: Road nooise from the adjacent freeway is annoying. The GPS Coordinates listed in the KOA Directory take you to a corn field 15 Miles away! (I needed to use the coordinates as the address in the directory was not recognised by my Garmin SatNav). If you want WiFi at your site then chances are you will be out of luck unless parked literally next to the office. We were 50 Meters away and could not connect.
Difficult to rate this campsite as it is a mix of some very good aspects and some quite poor.

Ok campsite. Close to next door neighbour. Bathrooms large. Odd annoying shower have to push button every 10 sec. No shower curtain so stall gets wet where u dry off. Outdoor pool. Petting zoo. Large play area children. Most spots have shade.

The campground was very nice, clean with beautiful woods and nature surrounding it....however....it is located right beside a major highway and via rail line. The train whistles blew all night and the truck traffic was so loud we could barely hear each other talk. Unfortunately, we will never return and disappointed that I was not aware before we booked. Staff were okay, not overly friendly, especially to our teenagers whenever they asked for the pool key each day.

Was not given site I booked and paid for (and had printout of reservation), and male staff extremely rude. It was a very upsetting experience. Booked a pull-thru site 4 months in advance and arrived in the afternoon to the site to be told that they could not give us a pull thru site. They took us to a reverse-in site with two empty pull-thru sites opposite they were saving for other customers. Then the male staff/owner told me that he would have to back in my trailer for me as he thought I would damage his property. We ended up leaving without knowing where else we would go. Fortunately Montreal South KOA had spots available! We have driven right across Canada this summer and have never experienced anything like this before or after.

My friends and I stayed here for one night while attending an event in Montreal. Although not close, the campground is in a convenient spot for getting to the city. The staff was pleasant and helpful ........ however the tenting site is within metres of one of the busiest traffic corridors in the country - and there is no acoustic screening. We couldn't even hear each other while trying to enjoy a campfire. It was impossible to sleep with transport trucks screaming by all night - so close that the ground literally shook!

Tough review. Decent enough campground, which is very well kept. Typical pull through or back in layouts. Standard size. But as many other reviews mention, and I wish I paid attention, "THE NOISE" kills this campground. And it doesn't end regardless of the time of day. And just as you think you are getting use to it, the hourly train (day and night), blows it whistle as if the conductor was using it for the first time. Twenty years of RVing, and first time we left after one night. Will not ever return to this location.

The Manager in that location is a "bully" and judges people as he decides, on the spot. He gets angry if you don't say nice things about his park, I was actually thrown off the site for (according to him) not following the rules of COVID. No need to get into the story if you weren't there to hear how bad the place is managed. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN, you should consider this advice and of course, spread the news.

I was driving my rv for the first time, and my rv tire blew out and caught fire. I was over 100km from where I was going to stay but pulled into the koa and the owner opened up the shop for me to check in he came out to see the hole in the tire and helped put my door back into alignment. He helped us to our site and showed us how to plug in and access the internet. This was all new to me as I just bought the rv. The next morning he gave me a place to get my tires done and the place he sent me to was great they hardly charged me for the tires and put nitrogen in them so they didn't over heat they even gave me a loaner car and had an rv mechanic come out to make sure the door was on safe for us. All at no charge the tires cost a fraction of what anyone would sell them at. This place I can not say enough good things about. Will go there again very happy with this KOA and for them going above and beyond for us new rv travellers.

KOA should not have their name on this facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful, but this place is no more then a trailer park, with mostly full time renters and next to a busy commuter highway and train rail.
Park could be really pretty, but road into is really dumpy ( and a little scary when your first drive down) . You are then greeted at entrance by trash dumpsters and camper storage area. Seems like all campground is set up backwards - you drive thru dump / storage and full time trailers to get back to office and campsites then have.
Would not recommend anyone stay here unless you have nowhere else to overnight!

I have always found KOA to be top of everything for camping, but this was NOT what I expected!
We were on the road travelling home from 3 weeks all over the maritimes had nothing but great campground both ways! Our journey home was 2 nights at the KOA Montreal west and it looked perfect! Owners more than nice. Well kept and was not a reflection on the owners but little did I know we were right beside the busiest hwy ever! All night was screaming transports! Needless to say there is NO sleep :(
So without ear plugs I would say drive on! It's not worth the aggravation. Truck stop is free!
Why they have not built a wall to stop the sound I have no idea! There are permanent sites there. Not sure how they handle that. Must wear ear muffs to bed.
It's a shame, everything else is perfect!
You have been warned!
