In the Yukon the type and standard of hotel is quite varied. The Aurora is lovely. Very clean, comfortable rooms. There is a ceiling fan and standing fan on the room , walk in shower and Wifi in your room. There is a kitchenette by reception for tea and coffee with a fridge and microwave for guest use. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Right in town and walking distance to everything.

On a previous trip a few years ago, my husband and I stayed here. Tracy and Steve are the owners. This little place is definitely one of my best places to stay. The rooms are above average spotless as is the bedding etc. Lovely walk in shower which we both love. Only downside is there is no elevator. Oh well. We made do. The owners are wonderful and extremely accommodating. Upon returning we felt like we were returning to old friends. Felt so comfortable and wonderful. Doesn't get better than this . Fantastic restaurant in the building and I would 100% recommend. Do yourself a favour and book in. You won't regret it. Thank you Steve and Tracy for making our stay so very enjoyable.

Great little Hotel with Friendly staff in the centre of Dawson. Parking on the street but not a problem here. It has a restaurant although I cannpt comment on it as it was closed when I stayed(Chef away). There are plenty of alternatives within walking distance. You will be asked to remove footware at reception as the dist streets would mess the place up in the wet. They provide a safe place to leave them.

Walking past the Aurora Inn, we caught sight of the menu posted outside and opted to have dinner there: the meal did not disappoint! We enjoyed a before-dinner cocktail, followed by Arctic char and elk & bison sausages, served by friendly, attentive staff. Even the busy owner made time to chat with us while following up to ensure our meals were good. Save room for dessert: we can recommend the Toblerone cookie bowl and the maple float! The restaurant was full on a Wednesday night in mid-August, so reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment. Many of the diners were guests at the inn.

Well kept comfortable inn a couple of blocks off the centre of Dawson City. Walking distance to everywhere. The owners were very welcoming, helpful and had lots of excellent local knowledge about Dawson City. They did a great job of tracking us down in town to take us to the airport as Air North juggled their schedule due to fog

Can’t say enough about the hospitality, rooms, location.
The restaurant ( dinner ) was a very good value and one of the better meals I have experienced in a long time.
The Mac&cheese…. Deeeeelicious….. and the brownie for dessert? Wow.
Tracy knows hospitality. I would highly recommend if you’re coming to this fine city …Do stay here.

The Aurora is a lovely place to stay. our room was very spacious and clean.The bed is very comfortable and we enjoyed all the lovely little touches they provided. It is in an excellent location. Staff, are very friendly and helpful. There is a community kitchen which you can access on the main level. Would highly recommend the Aurora.

Good Hotel in Dawson City handy for everything. It has fair sized rooms although the twins were only single beds. Hotel has a restaurant but it wasn't open on Sunday or Monday so it didn't appear to offer breakfast which was a shame. There are places in Dawson however and everywhere is within walking distance. No Hotel parking but you can park on the street outside for free so this ian't a problem.
Be aware you have to remove footware at the door as Dawson does NOT have paved streets. If it rains you can see why they have this policy. Out hostess was friendly and helpful

I've been visiting Dawson City since 1984 and the Aurora is definitely one of the best hotels on the scene. Tracy and Steve are very welcoming and accommodating - their hotel has the feel of a European inn. Excellent restaurant (try the pasta with elk and bison sausage). Rooms are simple, spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Best place we have ever stayed in Dawson City. Quiet, comfortable, light blocking window shades, jacuzzi, too much to list. Security is the best and the owner watches out for stray subjects 24/7. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip! We loved this comfortable place.

They do have a restaurant but it was closed in September 23 when I as there(chef was away)so I don't know the cost. I would recommend you check its open if its importantt. There are of course some alternative places in Dawson, all within walking distance.
The room we had had its own excellent bathroom with shower. And we saw the aurora borealis around midnight. Be warned the colours are variable dependent on air quality.
