We came to this hotel for Valentine's weekend, unsure what to expect but the reasonable price for a suite drew us in. We spent the weekend in an 'Upgraded Loft Suite'. The room is nice and has been renovated to look modern, the bed was very comfortable and we really liked the loft concept. The movie posters on the wall and the big TV are fun, but it'd be nice to have a Chromecast or similar device on the TV so we could cast our own content for "movie night". However, we found it very odd that the room had no place by the front door to hang jackets, and no dresser. There really isn't anywhere to put your luggage or to store your clothes (aside from a small bar with hangers), which makes the room awkward to use, especially for a longer stay. As well in the small kitchen there are no pots, pans, plates, bowls or cutlery. It's odd to have a stove but no to actually cook food on it, or serve food. The living room area doesn't have enough light, and in the evenings it felt very dark, especially when we were trying to get some work done. All of these things make the room feel "unfinished". We felt like we were staying in a beta version of a loft concept.
The public areas are nice, the elevator areas have obviously been redone, the lobby is welcoming but one of the big lounge chairs has a big rip in the seat, and the popcorn machine was never full. I did like the on-site restaurant and bar and the fact that a convenience store and liquor store are on site.
Overall, it's a decent property, especially at the price, but still feels unfinished and not well thought out. I would recommend it for anyone looking for an affordable and comfortable short term stay.

I stayed in the hotel last week with my family and my son are badly needed a washroom that he really cannot make it to our room in the 5th floor. then a lady name lonilen assist us to the washroom in the lobby and even ask us if we need a toilet paper as she can gave us from the desk. I really appreciated her effort. Good service was truly awesome

What was once the Yellowhead Inn has become an excellent property since branding takeover by Ramada.
Upgraded rooms and decor combined with economical rates make this the go to place in Edmonton as it is convenient to all major arteries and major shopping attractions.
Travelers should check out this hotel for the excellent value provided.

Stayed for 4 nights in room 631 on February 26th. As soon as I opened my door a musty smell hit me in the face, also noticed right away the garbage cans had absolutely no garbage bags in them. I also had no bath towels upon check in. The carpet was definitely not vacuumed, even under the bed skirt there were bottle caps and dirt. The room was not dusted from previous guest. My pillow cases were stained yellow, and there was no mattress protectors so I slept on top of the sheets because I didn’t trust that they had been chanted from the previous guests. The wall and ceiling is literally falling apart from what looks like water damage. I wanted to make myself a coffee and the machine was absolutely disgusting, the tray looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months so I brought the tray and my other concerns to the front desk and all I got was a “sorry.” I understand that this is an old hotel but the cleanliness is lacking big time and there is no sound proof in the rooms which made it difficult to sleep. The only three positives I can say about this hotel are the ds classic grill, food was amazing and so was the service. Sheila at the front desk is really nice and friendly, the rest of the staff can’t even smile or say good morning to you. The hotel during the day does smell fresh in the hallways from what I assume is the air freshener but either way it was pleasant. If it wasn’t for me needing to be closer to the hospital I would have checked out and asked for a refund and not stay there. Truly disappointed and disgusted with the room, it confuses me how this hotel got good reviews on cleanliness which is what made me choose this place.

No towels no garbage can no ashtray in a smoking room room was not vacuumed bath room was not cleaned. We were accused of excessive noise when it was conversation level - just two people talking at normal voice level. Totally offensive. When brought up at the desk, it was made to sound like we were at fault for disturbing other guests. We will never stay here again. Run away!!'

Water in washbasin was blocked and they didnt have people to fix it. It was holiday so they didnt have maintenance or housekeeping staff, which made our stay horrible. I had my 4 months old baby with me n We had to waste lots of time behind this issue to finially get another room. We had seen Ramada in the middle East and it is excellent hotel. I booked this room thinking that, they keep the standard. But I was wrong. It is just a name. This hotel has nothing to do with real standard Ramada

I stayed at the hotel for four nights from Oct 22 and my room was kept super clean for the entire period. The staff were highly professional and helpful each time l needed assistance. Clean and sanitized property. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Restaurants and a convenience store on property. Gaming room on site, casino across the highway. Only issue was I had a hard time activating the shower when the water was running. Finally figured it out !!! Pull down on the ring where the water is coming out....lol

I went in thinking it was ok, but I was wrong. Upon check in you could see how outdated and grungy it looks here. The staff never answer the phone, unless you’re calling multiple times. They don’t tell you the phone is down, you have to inquire about it. Also, the toilet was clogged.
My 4 year old got stuck at ground floor within seconds before we could step out of the elevator, speaking of the elevator, it closed on me. Literally, crushed me between the wall and the door, before opening back up.
The bedrooms aren’t cleaned properly by the way, I found forks, empty bottles and garbage behind the tv and along the bottom of the bed. The sheets are dirty and stained, the bathrooms aren’t cleaned and the toilet looked nasty. The beds are also hard as rock.
God awful stay and I would’ve rather slept in my car. -1000000/10

I’ve been checking in to Ramada since, but my experience in this location didn’t “wow” me. They should do some repairs especially at the 8th floor where my room was. Also get the bathroom shower fixed, shower curtains as well was not clean. I found a strand of hair. Guests that are up to the 8th floor between 12-2 am were drinking I believe, they were banging their doors, knocking on to someone’s room like what I experienced, I got scared and left my TV open
