This could be a lovely resort. West Wind II is well situated, well designed, well staffed and well neglected due to disgraceful management.
The beach entrance ( a disaster waiting to happen) could use a new staircase. The grounds could use some flowering plants. The units could use some new furnishings and a coat of paint. This resort is in dire need of new management.
Other than being shabby and just so sadly neglected, West Wind II is a fun place to be.

Great location, Great staff, the guest in the resort treat you like an owner and we had a great time talking with all of them. The room had a great view of the ocean. The location is very nice with a great beach and 2 swimming pools. The furniture and appliances looked like they have been in the unit for 30 years. We were glad we were upgraded for free (thank you) to a 2 br because the master br bed was a small queen bed (looked like a full size bed vs a queen). I would not have any issues going back to this resort if I go to Nassau again.

What a great experience- staff, food, service as well as beauty of the views. The place is very clean and extremely reasonable priced. It's cool as the crowd is like a community of friends and welcoming newcomers too, so its not as pretentious ( nor expensive) as Baha Mar nor Atlantis ( Baha Mar is in walking distance). Each unit has 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, sleeps at least 6 people with access to grocery & liquor stores- a $1.25 per person bus ride will get you access to downtown Nassau or Southport ( my fav) for cool restaurants and amazing views. I will be back!! Don't miss out on this gem!

We have been going to Westwinds II for well over 20 years 5-7 weeks per year. It's like a family there, even if it's your first time. Everyone is friendly and you'll meet people in the pool or at the snack bar. Just strike up a conversation, even if you're a renter. There is nothing 5 star about this resort except the staff. They are awesome! Many have been there for years and we get greeted with a hug. I've seen some reviews complaining about cleanliness of the unit, but that was when we had an outside company doing the cleaning. The in house staff takes great pride in the services they provide and if you're not happy with something, just tell the office and they will make it right. The maintenance staff will do anything for you, from delivering a 5 gallon water jug and put it in the holder to fixing anything or even moving luggage. The villa is quite comfortable and consists of a GE kitchen (with dishwasher, micro and full stove/oven) as well as a medium fridge which holds everything you need. You can buy a bag of ice up in the bar and the freezer easily holds that as well as much more. Ask other guests what they recommend for restaurants and activities and you will learn so much. The office is more than happy to help you book a tour or get a taxi and so much more. Yes, the beach in front of Westwinds II has eroded over time but right next door is a sandy beach you're welcomed to use and you can take a nice long walk along the beach any time you want. In the front of Westwinds II is a wall where folks congregate for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, to watch the cruise ships go in and out of downtown Nassau. We just love it here! p.s. The food at the snack bar is SO good and reasonably priced and the ladies are friendly and entertaining.

We have stayed here many, many times and have always enjoyed our vacations here. The rooms are a bit outdated but still very accommodating. The bus stop across the street is very convenient as well as the daq shack being handy with some stores to shop around while on your way to the bus stop. You can walk over to the BaHa Mar casino - that is fun. You can beat the beautiful waters to enjoy your days there. Snack bar serves good food. Demoya, in the front office, is GREAT!! We will be back.

The location is fabulous! On the beach, near beautiful casinos and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful but keep in mind the condos are 40 years old. If you want an inexpensive place to stay that is clean and safe it’s great. Full kitchen so you don’t need to eat out every meal. Although on sight they have a cafe that makes wonderful a usual food! Hamburgers, sandwiches, conch fritters and cracked conch can be had. They serve breakfast , lunch and dinner

This is our first large blended family vacation. The staff at West Wind Club II made our vacation smooth and comfortable. They were able to accommodate a minute reservation change to add another two bedroom unit next to us for our adult children. This accommodation gave everyone the extra space that we did not anticipate that we would need. The beach was beautiful and the pool was fun to spend time with family.

This resort needs to be totally redone!! After being moved twice, we had no choice but accept an unacceptable unit. It was dirty, furniture stains, floors were so worn and old that you couldn’t get them clean. I can go on and on. On top of that, there is NO beach like it shows on all those photos that were probably taken decades ago. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also the resort was in a good location with the bus stop out in front. But until a major overhaul is done, we won’t be back.
BTW this is the first negative review I have ever posted on any resort in all the years we have traveled…

Very quate place, great customer service. Shakira and staff were incredible helping with everything we needed. They have bottled bottled water containers, the snack bar has good selection and food has restaurant quality.

This resort is very nice, rooms were very clean, staff were all really friendly and the two pools were very inviting and very clean. The beach in front of the resort is gone right now but you just have to walk a little further along and you can walk or sit on the beach. Close to the new casino, and we caught the local bus to go downtown and to go to a few restaurants. Would definitely go back again!
