Our stay at the Discovery Point Condos was excellent. Our check in and check out was seamless and the accommodations were very nice. But what made the Discovery Point Condos exceptional was its friendly and outgoing staff. Our ground floor unit was steps from a lanai and from the beach. Fairly good snorkeling right off of the beach.

Pictures don't do it justice. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The view is stunning, the staff is amazing and we had everything we needed to make it a great stay! 2nd time staying here and we can't wait to return to this place specificially. We chose this unit because it accommodated our family-with 3 children. We lucked out! It was perfect. When we arrived housekeeping was there to greet us and boy do they do a thorough job-every day! They even suggested we needed a muffin tin and a crock pot. The next day, I was greeted with a new muffin tin and crockpot. Spices? Yep. Snorkel gear? Yep. Books to read? Yep. Even a cooler to take onto the beach or to use when visiting the island. Jermaine made our day by cutting fresh coconuts and bringing the boys treats of fruit he thought they would enjoy. They also loved their tennis matches. Truly felt like a home away from home and they have thought of all the details. We chose this location to be on the beauty of Seven Mile Beach without the crowds and cruise ship activity. It delivered. We never needed to save a chair for a beach view, we never had trouble finding a spot under a cabana and the beach had a small handful of people on it at any time. This location is not crowded and was everything we hoped for as far as privacy and family time. We were within walking distance to Cemetery Reef as well as the new Kimpton Seafire if you want to walk somewhere and have a nice meal. Fosters grocery is right down the road and I was impressed with their selections. We grilled 2x and never had to wait to use a grill. The boys enjoyed the basketball/tennis and everyone at DP was great with the kids, especially Jermaine-he is a treasure. The times we did venture out it was 10 minutes down the road to be in the "action". Favorite activities: Rum Point for dinner and using the Red Sail Catamaran to book reservations and travel there. George's WaterSports gave us a 5 stop excursion that could not be beat! We highly recommend this company. Smith's Cove is a must see for any visitor. Possibly the most beautiful place on the island. We reviewed the cruise ship itinerary to pick and choose the least crowded times to visit these spots and it worked beautifully! Best 10 days ever and we hope to return to Discovery Point again soon! Thank you!

We just finished up 5 outstanding nights at Discovery Point Club (#41). Ms. Ollie was a joy to work with and everyone at the complex took great care of our whole family of four. The northern end of Seven Mile is pristine and uncrowned, the snorkeling right off the shore is choice and the West Bay location makes it easy to get to everything Grand Cayman has to offer. This was our ninth trip to the island but our first stay at Discovery Point. It absolutely won’t be our last.

This was our first time on Grand Cayman, and so our first stay at DPC, but we will come back to both again. The island itself is beautiful, safe, has great food to be found, and is a pleasure to explore. Plenty to do, though of course, reading and snorkeling right off the DPC beach were the best activities. DPC is SO well run. Ollie is available to help with anything, the condo was totally comfortable and all the condos have stunning views of the ocean. My kids were in and out of the ocean and the pool all day long. We really appreciated the daily light cleaning (make sure your condo is run by DPC management, otherwise this won't be guaranteed. A handful opt out, though can't imagine why. Our friends' condo didn't have daily cleaning.) We also REALLY appreciated the rigorous Covid-19 testing that the Cayman Islands requires: day 2, 5, and 10 of your stay. They have made it so easy, and the testing kiosks are at gorgeous beachfront hotels, so you can grab a coffee and hang out in yet another beautiful place after. Unlike other Caribbean island, the Caymans are taking these extra steps to keep the virus to a minimum, and we felt like we really had a reprieve. Also, everyone down there masks when inside (though you rarely have to go inside; all dining and drinking is outdoors because of the constantly gorgeous weather). So great to be in a place where everyone is reasonable and graciously keeping everyone around them safe. Can't recommend Grand Cayman and Discovery Point Club enough. Reluctant to write this review and let the cat out of the bag!

We stayed for two weeks at Discovery Point Club in Unit 40 and it was wonderful! I loved that you could see your room before booking on the website - all condos are beachfront. There are full kitchens and washer/dryer but no restaurant onsite so renting a car is a must. The grocery store and liquor store are a short drive away and you can also have groceries delivered.
Usually, when we go back to a destination we choose another hotel or property to stay at but the next time we come to Grand Cayman we are definitely staying at Discovery Point Club!

This place has arguably better snorkeling than top-rated Cemetery Beach (but is within walking distance). Basically everything within 100 yards is full of critters, rock formations, and coral.
If you look on Google maps you can see there isn't much space for standing in the ocean on sand unless you walk to an adjacent condo, but even my nine year old only wanted to snorkel. Other people paddle boarded or floated. But in peak holiday season there were never more than five people in the water and always an umbrella available, so the beach here is very chill.
The fact that the balconies are screened meant we could leave the doors open and listen to the waves. The bottom floor balconies walk right out on the beach, but we preferred the view and privacy on the third floor. I really liked that they keep dishpans with water in front of each condo for you to clean your feet off in, and there are so many hoses and showers around the beach to clean off.
The employees are all soooo friendly! I saw the maintenance guy teaching some teenagers how to throw a ball. The manager asked when our plane departed and offered us late check out.
We walked up and down that stretch of beach and I think this place is the best in terms of large windows with direct views of the ocean (and screened balconies), pool AND hot tub in front, lots of shade structures, and great snorkeling.

Our family of 4 (mom, dad, 2 teenage daughters) just stayed 9 days and had an absolutely wonderful stay! We have been to Grand Cayman several times but this is our first time at Discovery Point Club and we will never stay anywhere else. The resort was very safe, very well managed and immaculate! EVERY member of the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Jerain went out of his way to make us feel at home! We stayed in unit #46 and it was perfect. Nice furnishes, plenty of dishes, cookware, coolers, and other "odds and ends" that made it feel like home. The beach and pool area were so well kept. A storm had brought in quite a bit of seaweed the weekend before we arrived and it was quickly cleaned off the beach. Great snorkeling right out in front of the condo. We can't wait to return. Thank you!

This was the 2nd time my family (of 5) and I have been to Grand Cayman, and the 2nd time we've stayed at Discovery Point Club, unit #32. The property, beach access, and staff can't be beat. The unit has everything you'll need, coolers, snorkling gear, kitchen supplies, towels, EVERYTHING.
If you want crowds, lines and noise, go to the Kimpton or any other generic resort type location. If you want relaxation and fun, stay at Discovery Point Club.
I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We’ve stayed at many places along seven mile beach over the years and Discovery Point was our favorite yet! The location at west end of the end of the island is laid back and less crowded and still close to great restaurants and groceries. The grounds are well taken care of and everyone that works there is super helpful and nice. We loved the pool right next to the ocean, the beach cabanas for shade and great snorkeling right off the beach. We stayed in unit #11 which was great. Would definitely stay here again!

We just returned home from 5 weeks at Discovery Point Condos on the beautiful 7 Mile beach . Our experience could not have been better. Our condo had 2 spacious bedrooms with a lovely lanai that walked out onto soft white sand.
Our condo was very tastefully decorated and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. Diane, our housekeeper did an excellent job of keeping the place clean and even treated us with some of her homemade Caymanian
cookies.
The pool and grounds were beautiful and were well cared for. Jerane was always around to help. He carried in our luggage and fixed any little issue that might arise. He would cut down the coconuts, chop them open and give you the coconuts so that you could drink the very fresh milk. This man would be up at 4 am raking the beach and arranging the outdoor furniture.
Ollie and Ruth in the office were so helpful both in booking the reservation and checking us in. Ollie always offered her help in anything we needed and offered to come to the office for our late arrival. Ruth and Ollie were both helpful in suggesting places to visit. I cannot wait to return next year and hope to play tennis and pickleball on Discovery Points great courts.

The beach is rocky right in front of the pool. But on either side there is sandy areas to get in. but once you are in there are rocks and coral further out as you walk out. It does get deep, but its gradual, not like a sudden drop. But its not a beach you can walk out for miles and still be up to your waist either. I would say the drop off is normal.

The beach at the Discovery Point Club is beautiful and well maintained! On one side of the beach, there is spectacular snorkeling amongst the small reefs. On there other side is crystal clear entry. There are plenty of cabanas and umbrellas to use for shade. Enjoy!
We stayed at Discovery Point last December and loved it. Already booked for this December. We didn’t see either unit that you are considering, but I believe all of the units are very nicely appointed. If I were to choose between those 2, I would choose 39, for the beautiful view 2 directions.
