A small family run hotel in St. Lucia with one of the most popular restaurants on the island. An obvious choice for business travelers visiting Castries or Gros Islet because of its proximity to SLU airport, more and more vacationers are stopping into Auberge Seraphine for one or two nights during their stay on the island for an authentic local experience. While there is no beach, most rooms overlook the pool and beautiful Vielle Bay.

Very small hotel and lovely. The staff goes out of there way to be pleasant and helpful to guests. Very decent for St Lucia where hotels are pretty costly. I enjoyed my stay here. Very basic accommodation.

Stayed here on both ends of a recent trip to St. Lucia (most of the time we stayed in Soufriere, but wanted to avoid the long drive to the SLU airport late at night and early in the morning and also wanted a little time to explore Castries and points north). Auberge Seraphine is a most pleasant property - spacious rooms, nice pool, quiet location, friendly staff, and easy walking distance to Castries, Pointe Seraphine shopping and (besides the hotel restaurant) 2 fine dining places -- Froggie Jack's and The Coal Pot. More business people and flight crew (5 minutes from airport) stay here than tourists, which only adds to the good atmosphere. You can also hop aboard a whale-watching boat with Chris Hackshaw from here or other sea-going excursions, as you are staying right on Vigie Cove. Watch the huge cruise ships head up the harbor from the deck of you room and enjoy the resident rookery of cattle egrets in front of the hotel.

It is true. Facilities need some upgrading. It is also true this is not a 5-star one. But, besides of that, you will find pleasant people always keen to assist, quiet environment (even though the proximity to the airport), a very convenient location and, last but not least, an EXCELLENT restaurant that will do you forget all days' troubles.

My third review! One of my favorite restaurants when I am in St Lucia. The Marlin fish in that rich herb sauce was simply delicious. I am most impressed by the infusion of the local fare with the cosmopolitan elements. Keep it up

While the birds were very beautiful and the dining area was inviting, I was scared. There is a small road that leads up to the hotel and if you walk beware of stray dogs and guys peeing in the street. Also also after lunch around 2-230 many cars left and three people were hanging around the entrance lurking at the street to walk out. Petrified and wouldn’t go back there. Felt very unsafe. Don’t walk and stay in a group and take a taxi. I’d never return.

8 of us had Valentine lunch at this wonderful hotel overlooking the harbour. The staff, Camilla and co, could not have been more hospitable. We were offered the use of a room with shower before our flight back to UK that evening. Made a palpable difference. Very good lunch too and in what must be the finest setting in St Lucia

For our first Caribbean holiday, we wanted to chill out, swim, snorkel and explore the island. We chanced on the Auberge Seraphine on the internet and liked what we saw -- particularly when we compared prices. So we booked and headed there straight from the airplane to give us time to look around. We stayed for our full 2 weeks holiday. There didn't seem much point in moving! The hotel is small (28 large rooms) and located 10 minutes walk outside Castries overlooking the harbour, where the cruise liners glide in and out daily. There is a swimming pool on a broad terrace with service from the bar and restaurant beneath -- we were so often the only users of the pool that we began to think of it as our pool! The hotel is spotless and the stuff very obliging. There are 2 first-class restaurants within 500 yards. Taxis are easily available to go anywhere and in particular to the beaches. Boat trips go from the jetty, a short walk from the hotel. Auberge Seraphine had everything we wanted and was lively with it; we could pick where we wanted to go each day.... and there were no mosquitoes or ants in the air-conditioned room and only 2 in 2 weeks on our balcony! An added bonus.. the hotel is 5 minutes drive from Castries Airport but there is a hill in between.

It is a shame that such beautiful hotel has such terrible waitress. This old lady was rude with me at the moment of breakfast even she threw the menu and the cutlery. Also, she didn't serve my complete breakfast and the worst part was when she expressed her contempt about my origin. This is racism and shouldn't be tolerated in any place of the world.

I can't say enough good things about the Auberge. It is about as close to the Vigie airport as you can get, but it is around the corner so you don't hear any airport noise. We walked into Castries, which was a bit of a hike, but nice that you can do it. The rooms are excellent, very clean, very comfortable, and a great big bathroom. We loved the pool area, its very scenic with the harbor view behind you and flowered plants in front. The staff was excellent. They gave us great advice, were very patient, and hooked us up with the best cabbie ever, British.

This hotel is in dire need of an upgrade and thorough cleaning. The staff was pleasant; however, the room was unacceptable. The room and everything in it smelled really bad. The sheets smelled like someone had urinated on them and d stains on them. The room was extremely dusty and did not have basic things like a clock or a phone. I would not go back or recommend it to anyone.
