This was my second stay at the hotel, a 4 day stay with my mother. I love the hotel as an option right on the beach that isn't one of the huge all inclusive, overcrowded hotels. The property is beautifully taken care of and the smaller size allows for a very friendly and easygoing atmosphere with staff and other visitors. The hotel manager Monique went out of her way to accommodate advance requests for my mother who has mobility issues, made sure we were comfortable with an easily accessible room and even greeted us on arrival. We felt very well taken care of, another excellent stay!

We had a great 5 night stay at Country Country. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed it each morning. Especially the banana pancakes and omelets. Our room was rustic, clean and comfortable. We wanted a small boutique place to stay and were so happy we chose to stay here. We spent several days just lounging on their beach, the bar makes delicious drinks (dirty banana was my fav) and the red stripes were cold. We found the staff kind and welcoming. Due to covid they have a laundry basket you put outside your room daily for fresh towels along with your garbage can. After 4 nights, we had tracked in a bit of sand into the bed and I asked them if they could clean our room and make our bed with clean sheets for our last night and they happily obliged. We had lunch one day at Country Country - Jerk Chicken quesadilla and jerk chicken wings and both were tasty. We tended to go to the West End or walk down the beach for dinner every night. It was a great stay and we are looking forward to returning next year.

My husband and I went to Country Country for our 20th anniversary and loved it so much, we decided to return 5 years later with our 3 grown children, ages 20, 22, 23. They’ve made some incredible improvements since we were there, adding rooms, a pool, bigger restaurant, and upstairs lounge area. It’s still the quaint beautifully landscaped place we remember.

Monique was so helpful, answering all my questions via email before our trip. The minute we checked in, remembered us from 5 years ago. She hooked us up with 2 great rooms and set us up for dinner on the beach at the hotel that night after a long day of traveling. The grounds were constantly being looked after, every employee we met were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very good and included. Really great way to start your day! Servers were wonderful.

Our kids absolutely loved it. We’ve done big resorts and while they are fun, this has much more character and more opportunity to enjoy Negril and all it has to offer. Great restaurants/bars on the beach within walking distance. We had the best driver, Roy, pick us up from the airport, and hired him for the day to drive us to Blue Hole Mineral Springs (a great spot in the mountains for cliff jumping) and went to the Xtabi Resort, a great resort on the cliffs (less crowded & touristy than Rick’s) and a great spot to jump off cliffs, eat dinner and watch the sunset.

Thank you Monique and the entire crew at Country Country for making our week wonderful!

Nice beach and water
Spectacular weather
Nice atmosphere with lots is staff
24hr security at the road and beach
Basic bar
As for the restaurant. There is one
Breakfast is decent enough but any other meal is super slow and cold when it arrives
The AC in the room was leaking onto the bed
They wanted to move us in a room out by the road beside the dumpsters
Eventually found us something more adequate.
Upon checkout there was a mysterious extra 200$ charge (scam) on our bill as well as the other 2 rooms our party rented
I was pleased enough with the place until then
This mystery fee was quickly removed when we questioned it without explanation
We might try somewhere else next go round.

It's a lovely fauna filled hotel, staff is super friendly and location is great, and very Covid conscious!! We booked Country Country for a quiet, relaxing getaway for an essential worker. The hotel was empty except for us and two other people. Unfortunately they put us both in the same cottage and they were there to party (probably to make it easier for the cleaning staff?) Then the next morning at 7:30AM someone was cutting the lawn below our room with a loud weed wacker, which took all morning. So not so quiet or relaxing. Since we paid for a premium room, we asked to change rooms (closer to the beach and away from the noisy road) and was told they were all under construction, which we did not witness. Next day the week wacker was out again at 7:30am. Breakfast was very good, pool was refreshing and beach well maintained so make sure you inquire about the noise before you unpack your suitcase if you are there for P&Q.

For many years we have enjoyed visiting Country Country's restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In December, 2019 we stopped for lunch only to be met at the security gate by a very unfriendly guard where we were required to provide our names. Proceeding through the office we were stopped by the font desk and advised that, in order to have lunch, we would need to purchase a $25 per person day pass. Were were told that the $25 per person would be applied to our bill at the restaurant but if we did not spend it the remaining balance would be retained by Country Country. We requested to speak with the manager and were told that this has been the policy for three years and "everyone is doing this." Now, as recently as March, 2019, we dined at Country Country for lunch and nobody even mentioned a $25 day pass. We left and drove to Skylark where we were met by a very friendly security guard and had a wonderful lunch. As property owners on the beach in Negril, we regularly refer our guests to various restaurants along the beach for meals. Sadly, Country Country is now off our list.

Country Country cottages give you the real authentic feeling of being in a rural Jamaican district. The buildings and decor remind you of 'old time Jamaica'. My room was clean, bed was comfortable. (Suggestions: Tea supplies must be stored on the shelf beside the fridge and not in the bathroom. Scrub the shower tiles). Traditional Jamaican cuisine is served, the ackee and saltfish breakfast are a must-have. The beautiful beach with its warm calm, shallow water complete the beautiful scenery.

From being told at check-in that my local friend could not accompany me to my "suite" unless I paid $25; to being told to "put on pants" at the BEACH ACCESSIBLE restaurant; to the pullout bed from sometime last century with the 2" (I'm being generous here) mattress; to the ONE slice of bacon with the included breakfast; to the "kitchenette" that included no plates/utensils - for $350/night I expect much better.

The proximity to Margaritaville also makes it quite noisy, especially when they pump their music loud to be louder than the concert down the beach, which happened one night during my stay.

I have stayed at numerous places in Negril, will never return to this place.

This is for the day pass option, specifically. We paid $25 per adult and $10 per kid to spend the day here. My son wanted access to a pool so we chose to come here. The nice thing is, you get that money back to spend on food and drink.

We had lunch and cocktails. Frozen mango margarita was good and hit the spot. The speciality cocktails were also good. Food was as expected! Beach food, fairly quick service. The only complaint about food we had is that the steak quesadillas were not served hot.

The pool is small but clean enough, and lots of security around so we felt comfortable leaving our items at chairs and getting in the ocean, walking over to Margaritaville, etc.

We would definitely consider staying here our next trip to Jamaica!

Just returned home from 7 days at Country Country. This is a small resort with lovely colonial style cottages on 7 mile beach. Going in November can be a bit hit and miss on the weather, we had sun most days apart fro Thurs when a tropical cyclone/storm passed through. Then we saw very heavy rain, wind, thunder and lightning, it’s expected it’s the Caribbean. Some days it rained in the afternoon, quick shower and then back to 30-31 degrees,

The staff are all warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is Dave the taxi man outside who is really reasonable and friendly, also plenty of taxis outside the hotel.

The rooms are spacious, with air con and hairdryers (in the bathroom draw) as well as an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe, where you will also find the safe. The key/lock you get from reception. Beach towels are also provided and can be swapped as often as you like.

This is our second time to Jamaica, have always felt safe, guards are on the beach at the hotel, but the beach traders are fine, just tell them No and they move on. If you get offended by the smell of weed, then maybe Jamaica is not for you, it is smoked widely on the beach and some people do smoke it on the resort. We just moved away from people smoking, didn’t spoil our holiday.

There is a small shopping mall across the road and the guards will stop the traffic to let you cross.

They serve breakfast/lunch and dinner if you wish to eat in the resort, which we did a couple of times and the jerk chicken was lovely. If you want to eat out, there is Miss Lily down the beach and a few other restaurants serving great food. If you turn right outside the main entrance and walk for about 10 mins you will come across The Best In the West, their shrimp curry is amazing. You will pay around £60 per couple for main and drinks, note that a lot of the restaurants will automatically add 10% service and 10% gov tax to your bill, which can bump up the price of your bill.

If there could be any improvement to Country Country it would be the Breakfast, it’s mainly pancakes, bacon, egg, toast It would great to have a wee bit more variety, maybe add porridge, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, for those of us who don’t want to eat bread everyday.

But saying that Country Country we will be back…. 😎🌞🌞

There is a coffee maker in the room, with limited packs of coffee. We never used it, as coffee is included with breakfast in the restaurant. You could probably buy coffee at the HI LO supermarket across the street if you need more.
