We love Grand Casino! Wish the slots would payout, even a little here and there so you were able to play on $20 bucks for more than a couple of minutes. Love the Silver 7 bar staff always friendly! The provisions to go has hands down the best food and fastest service. The hotel rooms are always very clean and very well stocked (suggestion, if there are two beds in the rooms you should have 4 packs of caffeinated coffee)

On the way home from a 3 day stay here. Gaming was good, casino was so empty it was scary. Food venues were non existent, stories, provisions to go and rival house were all closed. Grand Provisions only one open with a very limited menu and not very good. While in casino you see cleaning people just pushing carts around but not cleaning. Hand sanitizer by east elevator empty for 2 days finally told a cleaning person then filled. Rooms are not serviced, asked for more towels and garbage bags. Had to stop staff in hall because they never brought it. Last but not least, the attached picture in the elevator was taken at 5:30 pm, went in same elevator at 845 and the kleenex boxes were gone but the cup with lipstick was still there. If the elevators are cleaned every hour how is that possible. Yuck!!

My friend and I stayed overnight as a post pandemic getaway. Neither of us had been to a casino since 2019. I was pleasantly surprised at the hotel room, although dated and in need of a remodel, it appeared clean. The AC unit was quite noisy and there were some loud people in the halls at 3 am. The casino itself has plenty of gaming options, although machines were not too friendly to me. The best part was that there was no smoking allowed, so no dirty ashtrays, and you could actually breathe and no cigarette smell! The food was also very good, service fast and friendly, the beverage service at the machines was almost non—existent though. If you’re not looking for a luxury hotel, and can manage to get a good rate, or a comp room like we did, I would recommend it. As with any casino, don’t expect to win, just go for the fun and enjoy!

We had a nice room, but on the whole it is a very smoky place. I agree about not enough non smoking areas, or better ventilation. We were at a banquet, the buffet was very good and all wait staff was attentive and pleasant in the banquet area. I'm not a big gambler, but I found this casino didn't have some of the games I enjoy and didn't pay off very often. There were not very many wait people around to bring drinks which did cost unless playing at the $10.00 tables.

There are signs all over the hotel and casino stating that they are smoke free. This hotel is anything but smoke-free. I arrived at the hotel on Sunday evening and immediately noticed the strong cigarette smell. Even the non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. If you look close in the hallways and the elevators, there are ashes in the corners on the floor and along the baseboards. Housekeeping doesn't seem to be doing their job. The overpowering cigarette smell will remain there until the carpet and wallpaper are replaced. There is a coffee cart available and the coffee is just ok. There were no alternate milk choices for coffee except soy (yuck). Come one...step into the 21st century and add some almond and oat milk to your choices. There is only one restaurant open on Monday and Tuesday (Provisions). This restaurant is in the food court and is the only one open at this time, I am assuming this is due to COVID. Provisions does have food, but the quality is sub-par. My ham sandwich was soggy. The other two restaurants, The Winds steakhouse and Stories Diner do have decent food. The carpet in the diner is questionable and had a strange odor. The rooms really need updating.

We walked in and we were digusted we stayed in the chalet, filthy dirty disgusting, fake finger nails and cigarette ashes on the ledge in the bedroom pillows on the floor the bed not made dirty sink.in the bathroom, holes in the couch burn marks in the couch , front door all scratched up, no dishes no nothing to cook with no grill we had to flag down a cleaning lady to come in and clean our chalet so disappointing in fact her supervisor came in and clean it for us , one would though the front desk would of known that our chalet wasn't cleaned yet our reservation was made 6 wks in advance. For 95.00 dollars a night one would think the bed would have been made and cleaned as much money as this casino makes they could afford thrift store furniture without holes and cigarette burns where is you pride , these chalets used to be beautiful and clean.these chalets have completely gone down hill, oh yes and no grills unless you reserve one in advance and you better make sure you have your own charcoal, dishes, pots and pans, silverware, dishsoap ect. And a dust pan since there is only a broom I asked upon check in about the dishes they said nope we don't do them anymore and the woman sitting at the check in desk said to us family dollar doesn't look so bad now does it, , so at 95.00 a night we have to walk into a dirty disgusting chalet now we have to go buy our own pots and pans and dishes in order to cook and enjoy the food we brought main reason we got the chalet, then we find out the shuttle is only until 10p on the wkend and doesn't run on mon, Tues and Wed I can honestly say we won't be back...so completely disappointing

The Grand Casino on Hinckley has the makings of a fun place. Gaming is plentiful, slots are quite tight, but the atmosphere is fun. The bars are easy to get to with good, fast service.

The restaurants are where they fail miserably and have for years. Food varies from horrible to mediocre. The service is slow and overall chaotic appearing. Lack of staff does not seem to be the problem. Tried the “to go” area after having too many sad plates at the diner-like restaurant Stories. I was served a hot dog so crunchy it may have been cooked pre-COVID. We we’re glad we passed on the “pepperoni” pizza they were serving. It was a slice of cheese pizza Re warmed with ONE slice of pepperoni in the middle. I was embarrassed for them.
The hotel is not worth the money, rooms smell like dirty feet.

If they're going going put you in a room they haven't updated since 1990, it would be nice to be charged 1990 prices. These are $40 rooms they charge $100 for. Dirty. Smelly. Loud. Gross. Ish. Yuk. This place is a DUMP and needs a total remodel! It's 2021! Get some WiFi that works at least!

Hinckley Grand Casino Hotel has been remodeling and upgrading all of their rooms. This would be great, except that they provide very little to no sitting furniture in their new rooms, and in the rooms that have a bench it’s very uncomfortable. Our most recent stay in a newly remodeled room has no sitting furniture. We had to sit on the bed to drink our coffee. I called the front desk and requested even one chair and they said, “Sorry, we can’t do that.” I understand casino hotels want you to leave your room and gamble, but this is ridiculous. Hinckley Grand Casino Hotel gets an F in hospitality. There is also a very bright green light in every room for the circuit breaker, and it lights up the whole room at night. So, they do very nice remodeling, and then make you wish you were staying somewhere where you could sit in a chair or sleep at night. Big fail. We’ve stayed here many times and I’m not interested in returning.

The room was very nice and roomy. Everything was clean and nice. It was great to have both a microwave and refrigerator. My only issue is that we easily lost $200 gambling, and when we asked for a one hour late checkout they insisted on charging us for it. How greedy is that? As long as the hotel isn’t at full occupancy most hotels will give a free one hour late checkout. Their greed just left a rally bad taste in our mouths and we won’t be back again.

2 of the 3 hotels at Grand Casino Hinckley serve a continental breakfast. The Grand Hinckley Inn and The Grand Northern Inn. Both are a nice breakfast. The main hotel offs a Coffee shop in the hotel lobby, Breakfast can be bought at 3 of the restaurants. Buffy, Stories Dinner. and Provisions to go. All 3 have a great menu.
