The Messonghi Beach Hotel is celebrated for its lively, family-oriented atmosphere and prime beachfront location, which guests appreciate for its convenience and scenic views. Cleanliness is a high point, with many visitors commending the well-maintained rooms and public areas. However, the hotel's service and amenities receive mixed reviews; while some guests acknowledge the friendly staff and diverse offerings, others are disappointed by inconsistent service and unexpected charges for certain facilities. Room experiences also vary, with disparities in maintenance and decor noted.

The hotel is situated in a very large area that can accommodate a lot of people. However, in the center itself, you do not feel it at all, only when you go for breakfast or dinner. The food seems to be the same every day, but very varied, which means that even if you do not eat something one day, you can make up for it in the next. I think that the optimal time for you to "not overeat" would be a stay for 7-10 days (we were 15 and we felt it a bit at the end). A few words about service should be written at this point. Never in my life have I encountered the service at meals so busy. Everything was organized (in the sense of cleaning tables and complying with the COVID regime) like Swiss clockwork. Not only that, the ladies and gentlemen of the service did it with a smile on their face and with full enthusiasm. You can see that they approached their work very professionally and with dedication (despite relatively low earnings). In Poland, the situation is very rare. Special thanks in this regard to Kristof and Elena.
The rooms may not be a sensation (I've stayed in better ones), but they were neat and cleaned every day. A big plus. The only drawback was broken A / C but luckily it only broke at the end of the trip. We were offered a room swap but moving with a toddler at the end made no sense so we were offered a fan (which did the trick).
As for the animations - they were great (especially latino), although because of the small child I missed a lot (which I regret very much). However, it is worth writing here that it was possible to leave the child in the kidsclub for 2 hours (my child was too young, so I could not use it, unfortunately).
The beach location close to the hotel was very convenient, although not everyone likes this type of (pebble) beach. In my opinion, there were a bit too many sunbeds per square meter and quite a high price to use (€ 6). Therefore, a better option was to use another beach right next to the hotel, where not only was it cheaper (EUR 2), but there were definitely fewer sunbeds (and, to my surprise, also less willing people).
To sum up, I have a feeling that my money is very well spent. I rate the value for money very highly. Although if I were such an Englishman, this indicator would probably be at an even higher level: P Finally, I will write that the facility was so comfortable that you did not want to leave it.

This being our first family holiday abroad with our 7 year old boy we did as much research as we could to get the majority of what we wanted from a holiday whilst sticking to a budget,
We decided on Messonghi beach resort and can honestly say we were overall very happy with our choice.

We were allocated a family room in the “twins building” which in terms of location you couldn’t ask for more..
We were on the ground floor and out the door and a ten second walk and I’m in the pool 30 seconds further and I’m on the beach.. a nice little beach bar in between the pool and beach serving everything you could want.

The room had everything we needed and the air con unit was a god send as it was 35 everyday 😅
Rooms were made up to a good standard everyday also.

The hotel had all the facilities you could hope for and I must say a big shout out to spyros (hope I’ve spelt that correctly) as he lead the animation team superbly and kept children and adults entertained day and night always making the effort to get people dancing and joining in and making the atmosphere fun!

Buffett was good enough, there was enough choice at breakfast lunch and dinner for you too always try something new,
Not going to win any awards for cuisine but nothing to complain about either.

Summarising ,Corfu is a beautiful island and everyone was very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Would definitely recommend the messonghi beach resort, for families who love a bit of entertainment don’t mind a bit of noise and are just looking for convenience and value for money you can’t really ask for more.
Thanks messonghi maybe see you again in the future

The first things I will say about this hotel is that there is a French sector which is out of bounds to other nationalities. There is a requirement not to put any toilet paper down the loo but place it in a bin as the sewage systems can't handle the paper and get blocked - this a Corfu issue and not just this hotel. There is also the question of what 'all inclusive' means as beach sunbeds and the waterslide are charged for and the 'free' drinks end at 11pm. There is an elevator in the main building which looks like something from Jules Verne's Nautilus. The other accomodation blocks have only stairs which can be difficult if you are getting on a bit or of limited mobility. We were given a ground floor room in the end. The room we had was less than 50 yards from a lovely beach with warm calm water and 100 yards from the main building which houses the main bar and restaurant. The whole place was spotlessly clean and tidy, food was nothing exotic but was varied, plentiful and of a good standard covering both Greek and English cuisine along with some Italian pasta dishes. The beach cafe offers good snacks and drinks. The staff were all very courteous, hard working and helpful and fluent in English. The view is wonderfull with mountains all around and the Greek mainland only 10km across the sea. We had a lovely week here and plan to return next year for a fortnight.

Firstly, I am going to be totally honest about our experience at the Messonghi Beach Resort and not pull any punches. I will also give a review of some of the good things that we experienced.
We booked Corfu due to the Covid restrictions as we always go to Turkey and thoroughly love the hotels there, whether we go all inclusive or go for a bed and breakfast option.
So, on arrival we entered the spacious grounds of the Messonghi Beach Resort Hotel. My wife and I along with our 3 year old daughter were checked in and told immediately that we could use the Wifi all over the hotel and select 3 devices, however, we would need to pay 5 euros for each device.
We were then escorted to our room, which if I am honest was not too far from the beach and kids pool, so was situated quite well.
All the buildings and surrounding areas were in desperate need of an upgrade. The pavement areas were dangerous and the accommodation buildings needed to be painted.
The grass around the kids pool had not been cut, indeed, nor had that grass outside our apartment in the whole time we were there and it made the place look untidy.
The pool areas were relatively clean, however, the pools were not so. The grouting on all the pools had not been renewed and had become black.
Now for the food and drink experience: The food in this hotel is terrible. It is the same everyday with little imagination given to any variance. Yes, there is the normal bacon & eggs of a morning etc but at lunch and dinner I would only class it as trying to do things on the cheap.
The coffee/ soft drinks machines were switched off until mid morning, so I could not get up and get myself a coffee or my wife a cup of tea!
The staff all looked extremely unhappy apart from a couple, especially James from reception who was excellent whenever I had to speak to him.
The beach have sun loungers (6 euro) charge per day! The beach is quite nice with some lovely bars stretched alongside.
The accommodation also has a sister hotel which is linked and this hotel caters for French customers. They appear to get the better end of the deal and their accommodation looked far superior.
To sum up I would say that this hotel is quite tired, the food is extremely poor and the pool area is not maintained very well.
Before I finish, another positive note was the entertainment for the kids. This was good and try little girl enjoyed the mini disco.
The location isn't too bad and you can jump a bus into Corfu Town from outside the hotel for just under 9 euros per couple (return).
Corfu Town is beautiful and well worth a visit.
I am trying to be fair with my review and can only base it on my experiences in Turkey. The hotels in Turkey are far better in my opinion, staff are more friendly and value for money is much better. The Turks seem to care more for their customers, which is sad to see. I really wanted a good experience in Greece, but unfortunately not. We will not be going back to the Messonghi Beach Resort or indeed Greece.
Role on the end of the pandemic so we can go back to Turkey!!

Housekeeping is poor. The cleaning in the bedroom was minimal and towels were left on the floor one day. Bathrooms were poorly cleaned too. There is a persistent drain smell in the bathroom too.

Showers have hot water in the morning, in the afternoon and late the night, but expect a cold shower from 6-8 pm, which I believe most guests are having shower at the same time and their hot water system doesn't work well on that time slot.

Food is average and repetitive. Entertainment and swimming pools are good. Drinks are good. Lifeguards and bar staff are very friendly.

If you want to relax, try to ask for a bedroom far from the swimming pools, otherwise is impossible to sleep before midnight. We had a problem with guests chatting loudly outside late in the night around 2AM, called reception and after 15-20 minutes it was sorted.

The hotel gives preference to French guests from TUI. They have exclusive swimming pools which other guests are not allowed to go. They also use one restaurant on the first floor almost exclusively, which is more spacious and have a beautiful open area. Good thing is that normal guests can use it.

Covid measures are only enforced in the restaurants and reception areas. People on bars (internal and externally) don't follow the rules and there's no one to enforce them either.

Wifi is charged. I bought the package for 7 days and I had to return back to reception after 4 days because it was not working anymore. It got fixed but stopped working on the 6th day again.

Beach in front the hotel is not good. It is rocky sand and has plenty of algae.

Area doesn't have much options of restaurants or bars around.

It is a bit overpriced for what it delivers, comparing to similar places in Mediterranean locations such as Spain, Portugal or Italy.

Originally wasn't booked for this hotel, but due previous holidays being cancelled ended up here- wow so glad I did, I had the best week ever.
Check in was very quick and I was given a room overlooking the Messonghi River- perfect view to wake up to each morning. The hotel is huge, but you find your way around easily, hotel is right next to beach with 2 large beach bars, and food there is good. I found the food in the restaurant excellent, so much choice, could virtually have full English breakfast if you wanted, and in the evening was always spoilt for choice.
Loads of sunbeds around, if you love swimming in the sea like me next too the hotel is OK, but if you turn left from the beach bar and walk for about 10 minutes down the beach you pass lots of little cafes/ bars, but if you head to the last one Sea Breeze the sea there is beautiful, crystal clear, and so shallow and warm, was really perfect. Also if you walk out of hotel and turn left, after the river follow the signs and there are also some lovely little bars tooked away with gorgeous views of the Greek mainland.
I can't fault this hotel at all, was perfect for me, there are a lot of French here, and lots of families with children but they were all so well behaved.
You have to pay for bottled water, but in the main bar there is a tap to fill your bottles up, or if you go out of hotel there is a shop where its on 40 cents for 1.5 litre.
I only caught 2 shows because preferred to sit next to beach in evening, was a bit cooler, bcse we actually had a heatwave while I was there, so very very hot, but what I caught was good fun.
Rooms kept very clean, and gardens are immaculate. I would highly recommend this hotel, I loved it so much booked a week in September, so counting the days until I fly back.
Thanks to everyone at Messonghi Beach Resort, I was hoping this would be a fantastic holiday, and it certainly was, see you in 8 weeks..

Me and my friend booked to stay at Messonghi Beach Hotel on one of the first couple of weeks after they had opened and it was honestly the best holiday and week I have had in ages!!

Our room was everything that we needed with a little extra, you could tell that it had been refurbished to a high standard and was very practical and spacious for both of us. We had a river view room which added to that holiday feel in the mornings with the sun shinning and the boats coming in and out of the harbour throughout the day. Basic items such as a hair dryer, fridge and complimentary shower gels were a nice touch and not something that is always included within the room. And €10 for WiFi all week is a bargain! I’ve been to places were it’s €10 for the day.

There is a LOT of negativity around the food but as a fat bird I found the food to be absolutely AMAZING!! I’m sorry but I didn’t travel all the way to Greece to eat the same food I do at home, I went for the Greek food. There was always plenty of salad and fresh food (). The Greek specialities were perfect and having a couple of different dishes on offer allowed us to try several dishes in a short space of time. There was nothing I would change about the food and the service in the restaurant; the staff were always polite and helpful and if there had been an issue regarding allergies I feel the staff would have been more than happy to help with selection.

We didn’t have any of the snacks but did pop over to the on-site shop a few times for well priced traditional Greek biscuits, sweets and drinks. The shopkeers were always pleasant and helpful.

The beach was amazing and €3 for the day for a Sunbed was something I would be willing to pay. My travel buddy and I brought a snorkel set from the shop and were able to swim amongst the fish on beach one day.

I’m not usually someone who likes to lounge around in the sun but the easy access to the pool and the comfortable sun beds made getting up for anything more than food and a cocktail impossible! The lifeguards stationed around were always visible and would regularly walk around and clean around the pool area while ensuring that everyone was okay.

The entertainment was just the right amount of fun, yes the French had big shows and flashy performances but Spiros the lead entertainer for Messonghi was always full of enthusiasm and made sure to interact with everyone in the crowd. He was fantastic, the rest of the animation team too were pleasant and fun to be around. The French had a lot of entertainment but the Messonghi animation team always had the biggest crowd and were always the loudest group in the complex.

The all inclusive was great, there was enough of a selection of drinks and food. The cocktails tasted great and were easily accessible. Especially the bar man at night!

All in all I would highly recommend the Messonghi Beach Hotel the staff, the rooms, the food, the booze and the sun beds made my stay absolutely amazing! I will definitely be coming back soon!

My family and I visited the second week of May.
For the most part everything was fine but I was quite disappointed.
It was our first family holiday and wish I’d have chosen a better hotel.
For those of you that may not realise club mamara or the French quarter as we called it in the end really put me off.
It was like living in segregated accommodation which just feels completely ludicrous in todays world.
The French were really catered for and prioritised above other guests and it left me with a sour taste in my mouth especially being pregnant and with a toddler in tow rather ruined the experience.
Our rooms fridge was broken and started leaking water all over the floor which took a day for someone to sort; again considering we had a toddler with us and I was pregnant and this was quite obviously a health and safety issue I would have thought the hotel would have acted faster.
The food was ok always something we were able to find; it’s an all inclusive buffet so I didn’t have high expectations and was nice that on some evenings there appeared to be some theme nights with the food.
The entertainment team were quite good.
One thing I would like to point out is the safety getting in and out of the childrens swimming pools.
There weren’t steps in and out and was quite slippery so do be careful.
I’d also like to advise any parents with a toddler; be careful with nap times if you want your room cleaning.
We couldn’t quite figure out when the maids would come into the room some days it would be just after nine in the morning and other times it would be 2pm but the team were very friendly so just bare this in mind.
We did find a few hidden treasures outside of the resort and that was Ranis restaurant which is about a 5 minute walk from the resort if you go left out of the resort. I think it’s Moraikita way. There’s also a lovely Shisha bar, cocktail bar.
There were some supermarkets outside the resort should you need nappies in a a bigger size than 4 then there is a supermarket further down the road.
We also stocked up on water and cows milk there.
Main positives were being away with the family/ entertainment/ staff were always friendly at meal times and maids were very friendly.
Negatives were feeling uncomfortable by members of club mamara and paying money to not use parts of the hotel/rooms being outdated decoratively that it made me feel unclean/ general health and safety

Dear AvantTravel, Thank you for sharing and for highlighting your positive as well as your lesser impressions of our hotel. We are happy to hear that you and your family in general had fine holidays at the Messonghi Beach Hotel. We are also pleased to hear that you enjoyed the food, the friendliness of the staff and our animation team. We do regret that the presence of a French club at our Hotel made you feel uncomfortable. We do not advertise the French club’s facilities as being part of the international side of the hotel and all the facilities you booked for where available to you. The part assigned to the club can be considered as being a separate hotel on the resorts premises. There is no reason to experience a division between ''French'' and ''International’’ and we regret that you have felt uncomfortable with their presence. Furthermore booking with the Club is priced differently. As for the fridge we regret to not have been able to act faster and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. Thank you once more for reviewing us. Kind regards, Greta P Public relations

Recently travelled at the beginning of the summer holidays as single mum with a 13 and 9 year old. We were staying for 2 weeks so the room was quite disappointing upon arrival with only a tiny glimpse of the sea view we had paid for and the third bed being a foldaway bed despite having requested otherwise. In all fairness, we asked for a room upgrade after the first week due to noise on our block and the delightful report of the rooms we were hearing from others. They moved us to a beach villa, which was a lot more spacious and also had bunk beds.
Starting with the positives, the water slides were great and good value for money (paying for wristbands on arrival). The location was perfect, right next to a beach with lots of additional bars and tavernas. We were reasonably impressed with the food and there was lots of choice for breakfast. They also provided a packed lunch upon request if you were going out for the day. There was always something we could find different to eat. The buffet style restaurant however was very busy and a bit like a cattle market with lots of people not seeming to have many manners!! The waitng staff were very attentive and faultless in getting tables cleared quickly considering the volume of people. The entertainment crew were the best and kept both adults and children busy during the day with competitions and water Zumba etc and in the evening the entertainment was varied, including dancing, bingo, karaoke etc.The cocktails on all inclusive were OK, especially for the children (mocktails), who also enjoyed the unlimited ice cream. The lifeguards were very attentive and the cleaners kept rooms spotless with daily towel changes
Very few negatives, although they definitely could make better use of the extensive grounds by fitting in another swimming pool. Two small pools for the volume of people in such a large hotel was not enough. In addition, although you are unable to use the French facilities, they seem able to use ours. The sunbed policy needs to be policed by hotel staff as getting a sunbed was ridiculous! The rooms were quite tired and dated and could do with some TLC The only other negative was the lack of facilities for people with a late pick-up time at checkout. We were unable to pay to keep on a room and both myself and another single parent were left having to get showered with the children in cold outside showers by the sea and then get changed in the public toilets. Not good policy for a hotel!

We have just returned from an excellent week's stay at Messonghi Beach. This is a large hotel catering mainly for families.
We were given a room in the Nausika block right on the front beside the beach ,we literally had a 2 minute stroll through the beautiful gardens from our room to our sunloungers. The beach was kept nice and clean by the staff and was serviced by a large beach bar manned by the amazing Prokopis. This guy kept smiling even when confronted by some very rude people. Some people seemed to forget that the staff are working under extremely difficult circumstances due to Covid19. There were lots of measures in place including the wearing of face masks when inside and plastic gloves to use when touching utensils on the buffet. Our room was kept very clean and we always had clean towels.
The food was really good!! It was tasty and varied we could always find something nice to eat. The chef Tassos, maitre d'hotel Spiros and all their staff do an amazing job. We got chatting to Spiros the food and beverage manager and when he found out we had been to the hotel previously had a bottle of wine and fruits sent to our room which was a lovely surprise. This guy never stopped and seemed to be there 24/7 keeping everything running like clockwork. All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay.

Yes you can only request a late check out that morning, they usually let you know at 9am. We had a late check out a 6pm and it cost us 50 euros. We had to move to another room.

My partner has a severe nut allergy, do you cater for this?

I wouldn't have thought so. Half the time at the buffet the foods are not even labelled to tell you what they are never mind what's actually in them.
