This resort is a gem and should be much busier than it is. The accommodation options are great. We had cottage 1, it was lovely. There is a lot of open space and yet lots of privacy. It's quiet with a lovely beach area with a beach fire pit. The owners are lovely although the owner's son is still finding his feet. Worth a visit if you can manage more of a drive north of Bancroft.

Great beach, good place for just lounging around. Park is divided into two sections - Cottages on the west(?) and cottages/RV parking & camping on the East(?). If you want peace and quiet, go west. RV campground seemed crowded, but we didn't stay there. Very friendly and easy to talk to staff. Prices reasonable, but kitchenettes in cottage could've used a few more cooking implements. Cottages clean, and all important things (shower, appliances) work well. Furniture comfy, but a bit dated.

We stayed here in mid-July 2017. As we travel with a 37' 5th wheel, sometimes getting into a site is an issue, so we had been a little concerned about not getting a specific site when we booked our reservation, but the owner took us to look at the available sites upon arrival, and there were several good ones to choose from.
Beautiful beach, right on a nice lake, and a boat launch into the adjoining river. The sites were well-kept and the cottages appear to be the same, though we didn't check them out.
The owner was out and about over the weekend, chatting with us and other guests. On Sunday he was on the beach putting out extra sunshades. Very personable and obviously caring about the resort and the guests.
Access to ATV and walking trails is easy, and we found those in camp with ATVs were respectful of others when leaving/entering with their machines.
We have already booked our next stay here.

Trailer sites are close to each other resulting in poor privacy (insufficient amount of trees). Beach is fine; yellowish-brownish sand. Owner is very unfriendly and rude. Definitely I will not return there.

Booked a tent spot for 5 days. ..great service. .great beach. ..some facilities could use an updating. .otherwise a great relaxing trip. ..nice family fun..the cabins are great and prices range depending on the size of the cabin or cottage you want...
