We are Privilege members and enjoyed the adult pool and beachfront. Ricardo and Jose Luis Cen made our stay even better with their outstanding service. The butler service with Luis was unmatched! We often had Jesus as our waiter in the lounge and he took great care to make sure that everything was perfect. The food was outstanding, We had great steak, seafood , as well as French, Italian, Mexican, and Japanese cuisine. Also, the snorkeling was world class on the reef and National Park! We can't wait to go back in 6 months or sooner!

Just returned from this property and after reading some negative reviews, wanted to set the record straight. We booked the privilege rooms and services so our experience is based on that and since this was low season we did not experience any negative issues seen on this site. Since it was low season, the property was not full and we felt that we had the resort to ourselves. We are all inclusive travelers, staying in Iberostar, Occidental, etc. so we have plenty of experience to compare. This property is a 590 room, medium sized property that felt easy to navigate. It isn't a mega resort with over 1000+ rooms where you couldn't get to the other side. We were able to easily make our way to each end and take advantage of all of the services and amenities. The property is beautiful, well maintained and is on a stretch of beach shared with Excellence, and Now Jade resorts. Others have mentioned the seaweed and yes there was some but they clean it up every morning and sometimes during the day. Not an ocean swimmer so this did not bother me. The sand is so beautiful and soft and begs for your feet to walk it. The staff is excellent, very friendly, and helpful. This is our second trip to an all inclusive to Mexico and were not disappointed by their friendliness. Please tip, I know it's all-inclusive but they appreciate it. Bring lots of singles as they don't have change until much later in the day.

Al inclusive food is hit or miss, but all the a la carte restaurants were excellent. Since we were privilege guests we had breakfast at the privilege lounge each day and it was great a la carte service. For lunch the main buffet at Casa del Mar was more than adequate with good selections, the lunch buffet at the Villa del Mar was the most disappointing. If you can score reservations or get into the a la carte restaurants be pleasantly surprised. I am a foodie and I can tell you the quality of food was very good. I don't know what it would be like at full capacity but for our stay it was good to excellent especially the Fusion restaurant (which is the Privilege lounge actually with dinner service). Most people reviewing this property like the Sensai (Japanese) restaurant the most but I felt it was just average. You couldn't also get mixed drinks, only wine or beer there. The other restaurants, Italian - so much food, Mexican - great atmosphere, Villa Marina - outdoors eatery by the beach, and La Petite Creperie - go have a sweet crepe for dessert if you are not too full. Also one other place has a special mention here, Mike's Coffee Bar. First time I have seen a dedicated coffee bar serving all coffee drinks (expresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) and great desserts. Went there almost every morning, afternoon and evening for my caffeinated fix.

For those wondering about the upgraded services at all inclusives and whether you should do it. I say do it for this resort. The service for privilege guests are fantastic, upgraded rooms, drink selections, reservations for restaurants. I've seen the upgrades and others and felt it was not worth doing. Having scored a great deal on the vacation, my Privilege upgrade was about $40 per day additional. I can't tell you how special we felt with butler service, private beach areas, restaurant reservations, etc. I wondered why we didn't do it more often. Other people who visit all inclusives say that there is no difference but here on this resort there is. if you can do it, it's worth it especially if you are traveling in a high season. I can expect that the privilege service is more worth it.

As fantastic as our experience was there was some negative issues, the high pressure sales pitch to go their "VIP breakfast" of course was nothing more than a vacation ownership presentation. Right after checking in and not even going to the room, were pressured to make an appointment, DON'T DO IT. It was 2.5 hours we couldn't get back, we did get $80 credit for the spa and used it for a couples massage so we felt a little redeemed but don't be afraid to say no.

All in all, this was among our top all-inclusive experiences and look forward to going to their property in Dominican Republic. I would definitely recommend this property and hope others enjoy it as much as we did.

We travelled with friends in November 2015 and had a great time and were sad to leave. We were very happy we upgraded to the privilege package, the benefits for us were as follows. Quiet pool, beach cocktail service, being able to make reservations for the restaurants, we also enjoyed having the butler service fill our hot tub for us while we were having dinner. The resort was very clean and well maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed and cleaned well everyday with efficient turn down service. The spa specials made it worth our while to pre book massages, facials and manicures. The evening entertainment was fantastic, such quality dancing and costumes! Maybe a bit too loud though. The food quality and presentation was very good and better than other 5 star resorts in Mexico that we have stayed at. Thank you Ocean Coral for giving us a great holiday!

We went as the guest of a H10 Premium member and had a blast. An all-inclusive facility however you go, you will have a great time.
Four pools - Premium (private), Bar, Main, and Kids oriented.
At least eight Restaurants - Hibachi Grill, Mexican, Italian, Coffee House, two Buffets including the Caribbean Grill, Fine Dining at the Blue Moon, an all-night "burger joint", and even a patio buffet on some nights. That doesn't even include poolside and Dining room for Premium members. It was all fresh and just great.
The ocean water is a little cloudy right at the shoreline from turning sands .... the second largest coral reef in the world is a mere 200 yards or so out from shore.
The facility is very well kept, clean, and well run. Games and events on-site as well as excursions off-site if you like ....
If you do go as a member or upgrade to Privilege, you have a better suite, private area on the beach with butler service among other things. I'll put it this way, there is a balcony hot tub and a "pillow menu" in the suites.
It will be what you make of it, but the resort makes it easy ....
In summary, classified as a four star resort, we thought it was five and became members.

Dear cicifon, Let us inform that the entirety of our room is facing the ocean due the “u” shape design of our resort. Sometimes, our guests get confuse between the Ocean View Rooms and the Ocean Front rooms. Let us clarify that the Ocean Front rooms are the only category of rooms located in the ocean line with a direct view of the ocean. We have only one pool bar at our resort, the "Blue" pool bar, and it is available for the entirety of our guests. We serve Corona and Montejo beers at our bars. When contracting our Privilege package, Budweiser beer is also included. Our all-inclusive system is unlimited. You are allowed to access the restaurants as many times as you like and to order as many dishes as you can eat. We remain at your disposal for any further assistance. Kind regards,
