I recently stayed at Hotel Auto Hogar and my experience started off average we arrived at the hotel at 12.00 midday and was told our room would be ready for 15.00 in the mean time our suitcases was locked away safely we went out and came back later where we was then taken to our room. The room, I was not too happy with, it was very dark, 2 lights was not working and no natural sunlight came in also when booking my hotel the images showed a balcony, this room did not have one, so I went back to reception to request a change of room as when I initially booked the hotel the images i viewed had a balcony and the room I was given did not. I explained my concerns to reception which they stated they had no other rooms with the balcony ( bare in mind the small balcony room and a room with no balcony are the same fee) I just expressed I am not happy which the hotel said come down in morning before 12 we will change your room, as people check out we can check you into another. Day 2 when we changed our room, the balcony room was much nicer, very clean, had good lighting and quite spacious we was happy with this room. Throughout our stay the hotel staff was polite and friendly and resolved all or any issue we brought to them to the beat of their ability. Throughout our stay the cleaners cleaned the room daily bringing clean towels and mats which was great, and all in all the experience, location and price of this hotel was really good. We did notice the safe did not work, I typed a wrong number in a few times and it still opened, so I would recommend getting suitcases that locks, also throughout our stay hotel staff knocked our door to ask if we had noticed anything strange or suspicious about the cleaner, which I found odd, when I asked them why they did not explain however from my experience I did not notice anything missing from my case or safe. Also another thing that annoyed me is the hotel charge that you pay upon arrival was way more then what on the beach recommend, we was expecting to pay 0.69 per person per day and ended up paying a fee of that is recommended for a 4 star hotel which was very annoying, it worked out to 4.13 per person per day …for 2 people for 1 week I paid 57.82 euro. The communication between on the beach and the hotel seems to be poor as information was often wrong or not communicated. Overall experience was worth the money, I would stay there again. The hotel just needs some tweaking in areas in my opinion.
