My new husband and I are so happy we chose Sandos Caracol. Kiani and her team of wedding coordinators were efficient, organized and overall pleasant. They were quick to respond to emails in the days leading up to the wedding and extremely helpful once we were there. They even met me in the salon during my hair appointment to pick up a bag of decorations that I had forgot to give to them. They worked with me to organize group dinners, were flexible with scheduling and even helped with my one-off requests like circling exact event locations on the resort map so I could buy snapchat filters. I never once felt uneasy or unsure because they were so professional and responsive. The venue itself is gorgeous and affordable. We had 65 guests from the US and we've heard rave reviews from everyone. The mariachi (an extra charge) were fantastic, as was the DJ, the photographer and the videographer. I have zero complaints and am amazed at how smooth everything was! 5 stars all around!

My husband and I had a great time at Sandos. The staff was very helpful. Mario was amazing from the beginning till the end. He noticed we were checking-in in the wrong area. So he let us know and drove us to the adults only section. From then on Mario dropped and picked us up whenever we need him, during our 5 day stay. He was a BIG help on our wedding day. Since my husband forgot the rings 🤦🏽♀️.
Edith was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing! She made everything easy going. From the moment we got to the resort until the day after our wedding. Edith gave us a tour around the resort told us the backup plan Incase it rained. She offered to keep some of our stuff from the reception because we were going to party somewhere else in the resort. We picked it up the following day. She was even available after 7pm! To have a meeting with us.
I can’t forget José our concierge. He was so helpful even on his day off. Getting a last minute dinner for 20 people is not easy but he made it happen!! To top it off he made it at the Japanese restaurant. He even helped my dad and my sister to check out faster. So they wouldn’t miss their transportation.
The ONLY bad thing I have to say about the resort and the wedding package was the salon. I was promised 2 hours! For make up and hair. On my make up trial the lady took an hour to do my airbrush make up. But for my wedding day I only had her for an hour maybe less. Because they over booked her. I felt she was rushed and my make up was done like my trial. I don’t blame her. But the person who is doing the booking should do a better job. I wasn’t happy but I wasn’t going to let anything ruin my big day.
Over all we are happy we had our day at Sandos 😁

This is our 3rd review for this resort and again its goin to be a good one!!! We were a party of 14 that came back to sandos for the 3rd time for us and one couple who we met here last year and first time for some of our friends and family. We all arrived on 5th june 2014 for our wedding that took place on the 11th june. Upon arrival our rooms were pretty scattered which wasn't good for us as we had mums that were in rooms of there own and wanted to be near us and friends that all wanted to be close too, after a few room changes we were settled into our rooms which as usual were great, new water coolers in every room which gave hot and cold water which was great. Ok im goin to get straight onto the wedding as it was a big part of the holiday. Marine Gautier Larret the wedding planner has been AMAZING, right from the very beginning with emails ect she never failed to please or help, i must of sent 100 emails asking random questions and she would always be there to help. Once settled into the resort we arranged to meet and pay for the wedding which we paid direct through the resort and in dollars. All this was straight forward and easy, I picked my bouquet which was out of this world and marine made sure everything else tied in together around it. We arranged to have our bloods taken and everything was set and ready!! all we had to do now was relax :-). We had our bloods taken for the wedding and I can honestly say as some one who is needle phobic it was the best blood test id ever had, the doctor who came to the room was very gentle lol. I also had my dress taken to be steamed to get the creases out and was worried but it came back perfect and all hung nicely on hangers.
On the wedding day I went to the spa and had my hair and make up done by the guy in the hair salon but I cannot remember his name he was amazing my hair and make up were `fit for a queen and would like him to be thanked for his amazing talent.
I was picked up in the golf buggy and taken down to the steak house as we had our ceremony on the beach in the gazebo and forgot my bouquet so one of the girls ran back to get it :-)
The ceremony was beautiful!! the vowels are all bout loving each other and being there for each other which was exactly what we wanted. We had a judge as it was a legal ceremony and he was fantastic! The ceremony is around 30-40 minuets and a thumb print on the wedding certificate adds that little extra sparkle. We had Lillo the photographer snapping away through the ceremony and after we had some family photos and some special photos of just me and my hubby. This guy is truly wonderful! we loved his photos that much we had buy the lot and we also have a pic of him with us as our back page in the stunning photo book we purchased too. Thank you Lillo!! We also had a private party on the beach in the select club area with a DJ Luca Zannelli from best destination weddings and was perfect, what ever song we asked for he played!! We had the best time ever and an amazing cake too, the dj brought balloons and glow sticks for the kids and they had just as much fun as the adults.
The food here is great everywhere, we mostly went to the la laguna as it has a better choice of food for the children and also we all needed our daily hola to Sonia and Antonio, these two ladies are simply an asset to the laguna!! they are the most polite and hard working ppl we know and they hadn't changed a bit from the last time we saw them in 2013.
Just a last little thank you to Alex and Gabriel who are part of the management team, they were always making sure we had a great stay and helping with whatever we needed or asked for. thank you to all at sandos again for an amazing 3rd holiday at your beautiful resort and for one of the best days of our lives becoming husband and wife in your wonderful grounds with another year of unforgettable memories!! See you guys all again soon when we return next time x x

This is a wonderful, quirky resort with lots to commend.
The place is teeming with animal and bird life and the eco tours to help you appreciate the natural beauty of the place are included.
The gardens around the apartment blocks are well tended but the best bits are the natural jungle/rainforest/mangrove areas. There are many interesting walks to take through the resort. With natural centres you can swim in. It’s a feast for the eyes.
The beach area is pristine - we are in the adults select club which has its own club house and great service.
The food is plentiful, fresh and varied. I don’t know how people can’t find good things to eat. We have been overwhelmed. Can’t praise the staff in the adult select club bar/ restaurant enough. They are all cheerful, hardworking and help to create a happy holiday mood every single day.
The spa is well appointed. I had excellent reflexology from Guillermo which helped my back. I am a nurse so my back and feet have to work hard and holidays like this are a chance to recuperate and care for myself a little - I had the best pedicure ever in all my years in the spa from Elodia - she is a true therapist! Hair by Celis really made me feel 100% and their kind and gentle service made my day. It was a busy day in the salon as they have weddings at the resort (such a beautiful setting for a wedding) but I was made to feel welcome and the service was unhurried.
All in all we have loved Mexico and the Sandos Caracol Eco Resort and hope to return. Thank you to all the hard working staff - you are appreciated

I went to the spa for my wedding to get my hair and makeup done. Margot was AMAZING!!! I wish we could take her back to canada with us haha she was super friendly and helped me decide on my makeup and she did such a wonderful job! I would HIGHLY recommend Margot 😍
