- Hussain BEast Brunswick, NJ7 contributionsgood experience, but bad conduct of a specific employee who left a bad taste of the whole experienceWe booked this activity online prior to our visit? we had a car emergency, so we went to the pursuit counter in elks hotel. We were helped by a young lady, Claudia who wasn’t friendly and helpful at all, we left like she treated us like fairly. She was just rude and not friendly at all, she gave us all wrong information: we wanted to walk away, but then we realized that this is the only company which sells tickets to a few activities here, so we were left at her mercy. She also sold us some addl packages but later we realized that she could have given us discounts as a bundle. One of her colleagues said from the background, but she told her shh she was handling it. We realized this only when we reached the gandola, that we were treated this way. We spoke to the manager Gandi, who made is right for us, he went above and beyond to fix it and only because of him I am rating it 4 stars. Our amazing tour guide Kassie, the short blonde girl with the pink heart sunglasses, really made it all the better (shoutout to her mom by the way!!) From the moment we got on the bus, she made everything so fun and was very knowledgeable. Being on the glacier itself was also such a memorable experience, and we had the best time! Tyler created a relaxed and fun atmosphere for the 11 participants in our group. He was funny and informative while keeping us on schedule. My husband and I were both able to relax and enjoy beautiful lakes and the day while Tyler did the driving and provided us with information about the area and kept us entertained during the drive. He was also a great photographer for everyone! As a bonus, we were lucky enough to see a bear on the way back! - Abhishek M7 contributionsThis tour was very interesting, especially for a family. Our tour guide, Kelly, told us meaningful information, like the stories of the land. We learned lots about bears from her and how to defend ourselves if we are near one which was very fun to hear about. Kelly was also very accommodating by offering us cold water bottles. She showed us different types of antlers as well. During the bus rides, we were allowed to quickly stop and take photos of wildlife. - Crystal HSeattle, WA19 contributionsWe were picked up from our hotel in Calgary. There were 10 of us in the van. Gordon was our tour guide. He was excellent. He was pleasant and friendly. Very informative. Giving us information about the Park and lakes as well as Calgary. The tour was long because it included travel time from Calgary. But it was worth it. Lake Louise was beautiful. Lake Moraine was more beautiful.. wear tennis shoes or comfortable shoes. There is an option to hike up rock stairs to get a better view of Moraine. We did not see a bear but we saw some big horned sheep! Harry walked to the lakes and offered to take picture of anyone that wanted him to. We will definitely be booking with Discover Tours and TripAdvisor again. Thank you Harry! We customized our tour, since we were staying if Banff! We visited 4 beautiful lakes, a waterfall, and Natural Bridge….also stopping in Lake Louise Village for lunch! Rahul also is a great photographer…and took great family pictures for us! She engaged and was welcoming with each guest, and did a great job communicating options to make our experience wonderful. This tour helped us get exposure to a few areas that my wife and I will return to and spend more time at in the future. I recommend this tour and it has huge benefits rather than driving your personal car due to the limited parking options. It was great to be taken directly to each beautiful site and not to have to worry about parking. The scenery was spectacular, especially Moraine Lake. - DubtravelerDublin, Ireland107 contributionsThis is an amazing day out. The tour runs from 2 iconic yellow American school busses.
From the moment we started, the vibe from our hosts set the scene.
We were met at the meeting spot by Dominique, who it turned out was one of the owners. Before we even stepped on the bus, Dominique talked us through each stop the bus takes, and explained what was there to do. There are 4 main stops and you can choose to do as many or as little as you want at each stop.
We wanted as active and complete a day as possible so Dominique planned our bus times for us.
Our bus trip started at 7.40am and we got to hike the full length of Johnstons Canyon up to the Upper Falls, a return hike of about 2 hours. We just had time to do this and meet the next bus Dominique had suggested for us.
We then were brought to the Lake Louise Gondola and had plenty of time to do the Gondola trip and explore at the top, and have lunch there.
We then hopped back on the bus and went to Morraine Lake where we climbed to the top of the rock pile and got awesome views of the beautiful water of the lake and surrounding mountains
Then we were brought to Lake Louise with still plenty of time to explore the trails there and take a rest just admiring the views. We were still in plenty of time for the drive back to Banff for 6.00pm. Oh, and did I mention that we saw a bear on the drive back to town? Our driver Bobby did an amazing job of driving very slowly amongst other traffic that had stopped on the mountain road to view the bear, thus helping us get some great photos.
Our thanks to our two wonderful friendly and fun drivers, Jeff and Bobby. Thanks also to Dominique - you went out of your way to ensure that our day was personalised so that we were able to see and do so much. You really made this trip so unique for us. And thanks also to our other guide, Lewis - your enthusiasm and love for this area are truly infectious. Your happy outlook and in depth knowledge of the area really enhanced our enjoyment of the day.

- coffj58 contributionsWhat a fun trip seeing Lake Louise, Lake Moriane, hiking Johnston Canyon. Jackson our tour guide shared interesting information throughout the trip and lead us to all the spot to go. This trip will save you time searching for parking spaces. We only had one full day in Banff and this allowed us to see and do all the things we wanted to see. Plus I felt like this gave my husband a break from driving everywhere.
