    Wonderful
We visited on a beautiful day. Rented bikes to see all major attractions within CP. It was easier to bike than walk. So many places to rest, relax, enjoy the view. This is a full day experience at the very least.

The Green Lungs of the City
We spent the entire afternoon here visiting some of the greatest hits like the Bethesda Fountain and the mall with all of the statues. Also Strawberry Fields. Lots of people around, all having a great time in excellent weather. Came back a week later to another part of the park further uptown and that was excellent also. Such beautiful landscaping. A green oasis.

    Ideal to discover by bike
Very nice and huge park. Ideal to discover with a bike. Rent a bike nearby and tour the park on your own. No need for a guided tour. Takes you about 2 hours if you drive slowly, stop at the MET, have a pique-nique in the park.

Beautiful oasis of calm in the city
We visited Central Park on hot summer days in August. The trees, breeze, rocks, squirrels, birds, views, were beautiful. We even went back for an hour on our last day in New York. Love it!

    Scenic Central Park!
Stunning Central Park. Beautiful scenic park well worth a visit whilst in NYC. Great place for cycling, walking, running and so much more! Such a large space and so big that you can get lost! Remember what entrance you start at! Beautiful lakes and small wildlife roaming free within the park. Highly recommended!

    A pictorial night of dining
A pictorial night of dining Located in Manhattan New York, I visited GoldenPlates cinema, Upon entry you feel like you've entered a cinematic universe. Today Mamma Mia was being previewed. Once we found our table with our names we each took a seat where our names were placed. As soon as everyone sat down, the waiters were released and started taking orders from each table. After everyone's order was taken the waiters left the cinema. The movie went on when suddenly all the lights went off but one stayed on and faced a door where multiple shadows stood The shadows soon came out the final song of the movie played "I Have a Dream". Once the song started the actors started singing a dancing. They were all dressed like different characters. The main character soon took the stage and we realized it was Amanda Seyfried the actual actor who played in the movie. Gradually the audience started to get up from their seats and started dancing around too. In conclusion, The service was first class, With the staff ensuring your meal was perfectly timed with the movie. The menu either had food from the movie or drinks related to the movie but don't worry there were different diet options. The cinema offers other movies which I hope to see soon. This place is perfect for any event all under the price of $100 per person. Be prepared to be shocked, entertained, and just full of joy from the first scene to the final scene.

Great to visit, go with Friends in mind
has to be part of a first visit to New York and would return again. Lots of winding paths take you to points of interest. We had planned to hire bikes but these are intended for the main roadways only, not the network of smaller paths so we think it is better to arrive with fresh legs and walk several miles to see most of it

I didn't see very much of the park - it is massive - but I enjoyed what I did see. There's a lovely nature reserve but where they had turtles. Also statues of historical figures (Robbie Burns etc.). The information plaques were helpful. There's a lot going on in the park and I only saw a fraction of it. There are some lovely views of the city.

Who couldn't love central Park. Its like walking onto a movie set. So many familiar sites. That aside it is very beautiful place to exercise or just sit relax and enjoy the scenic views.

Sunday morning & the whole of Manhattan seems to be out enjoying this beautiful park. So quiet and peaceful with the backdrop of the city in the background.

We spent a significant amount of time in the park and I would say that we saw 75% of it. It is a huge area with lots of different things to see. We had a list of "must sees" and found it helpful to guide us in the direction we wanted to go when we would approach a sign with choices. Lots of fountains, statues, ponds, flowers and turtles! An enjoyable, but very hot and humid afternoon. Crowds were not as bad as I had expected for a Saturday. We were there from 12:00-3:00.

Did you know that more gunpowder was used to clear the area of soil and rocks for Central Park in New York City than was used at the battle of Gettysburg in the Civil War? Yet Central Park is only the fifth largest park in New York City. But it is the most visited urban park in the United States with an estimated 42 million visitors annually. Located between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side neighborhoods of Manhattan, Central Park is bordered by Central Park North at 110th Street, Central Park South at 59th Street, Central Park West at 8th Avenue and Fifth Avenue on the east, Harlem to the north and Midtown Manhattan to the south. Designed by architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the 843-acre property was opened to the public in 1858. The first landscaped park in the United States, it is worth $528 billion by today's value scale. It contains five visitors centers, 21 children's playgrounds, eight lakes and ponds, all created artificially, more than 20,000 trees, is patrolled by its own New York City Police Department precinct, is surrounded b a 29,025-foot-long and three feet, 10 inches high stone wall, 29 sculptures, 26 baseball fields, 12 tennis courts, eight basketball courts, two ice skating rinks, seven soccer fields, four volleyball courts and two indoor restaurants. Wildlife that inhabit the park includes fish, turtles, frogs, bats, squirrels, chipmunks, opossum and birds. No snakes. Open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, The park also features four drives, 6.1 miles long, that are used by runners, joggers, pedestrians, bicyclists, inline skaters and scooters. And there are three scenic drives that highlight New York City's skyline. Main attractions are Ramble and Lake, the Central Park zoo, Hallett Nature Sanctuary, Wollman Rink, Central Park Carousel, Sheep Meadow, the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir and Delacoste Theater. It is one of the most filmed locations in the world and has been the site of several major events, including the Simon and Garfunkel concert in 1981 and the Garth Brooks concert in 1997. Two interesting attractions are Cleopatra's Needle, a red granite obelisk and the oldest man-made structure in Central Park that originally was erected in ancient Egypt in 1,450 BC; and Strawberry Fields, a 2.5-acre landscaped section which commemorates the life of John Lennon, who was murdered outside the nearby Dakota apartment building in 1980. Central Park was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1963, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966 and designated a New York City scenic landmark in 1974.

C'mon, I mean, it's Central Park! This was our second visit and we never tire of seeing new areas and people watching. After visiting the Guggenheim, we walked through the park and enjoyed seeing the trees, carousel, lake and wildlife (turtles, birds, fish). We got coffee by the boathouse and just soaked it all in. We didn't see any buskers/performers this time but we know they're always around. Go and enjoy the park.

I've visited Central Park numerous times during the last 32 years and at different times of the year. It's a tranquil place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
I visited early on a Friday morning so there's only joggers and locals walking their dogs at this time. The park is full of statutes, view points, bridges, tunnels and lakes. There's always something to see, plus the addition of bird and wildlife.
