Our aim is to be the top attraction for fun and games in Indianapolis, offering various exciting games as well as a team and individual tournaments. At Bad Axe we offer a unique edge to how adults have fun. We host large corporate events, birthday parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, we are perfectly suited for groups that are looking to have an unforgettable time while learning to throw an axe. We are located in the heart of Indianapolis just a few blocks south of Monument Circle, just a three-minute drive off of I-70 from the 79B exit to Madison street.

Booked online but had to wait for a lane as there was only one employee working. Had a good time. Standard for an axe throwing establishment, been to four others in US and Canada. Don't expect fancy décor, but you can throw axes and that's the point.

Max at Bad Axe did a great job with 13 teenage girls, showing them how to throw axes. It's hard to impress that demographic but we had a bad axe time! I would recommend this to scouts, boys & girls, youth groups of any kind.

Would have never picked to do this activity...but we went as a surprise day trip. We Loved it!! We will definitely be going back! De`Jon was an amazing and FUN coach! We had a great time competing against each other at the different games he had us play! De`Jon was informative and attentive to our groups skills (or lack there of).

CrossFit Sworn decided to go axe throwing as an out-of-the-box activity. We had a wonderful time with some friendly competition led by Sarah and Shandi, our Bad Axe coaches. Games were designed to allow those with experience and newbies to participate on a level playing field. Highly recommend for groups and couples.

Outstanding experience! So much more fun and entertaining than I even expected. Grant A. made the experience even more exceptional! Best Sensei (Coach) ever! The games were so fun! Two hours wasn’t enough time! I strongly encourage everyone to come and try this. You will not be disappointed. Already talking my company into booking an event after the Holidays! We will definitely be back!

How in advance do you need reservations for this???We are coming for a weekend school event and would like to find other things to do as well.

Hi wandan248, Booking an event is a first come first serve basis. We usually ask to book at least 3 weeks before the event to meet our cancellation policy (We require 2 weeks notice for event cancellations in order to receive a deposit refund & to reschedule events), though you can still reserve within two weeks (no deposit refund in case of cancellation) but not less than 48 hours for a guaranteed spot.

According to their website (which Tripadvisor will not let me post the link), it looks like they are open 8am-11pm every day.
They only have the one location in Indianapolis. I'd recommend a reservation before going. We did walk-in and got lucky but it was pretty busy.
