This Capital Grille is a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday. You are treated to so many extras if they know ahead of time that you are coming for that reason. First of all the entire staff here are marvelous. Our server, Bri was outstanding. The valet parking people were very helpful with my friend who uses a walker. The man who greeted and seated us was charming. Our food was perfectly prepared. We both started with the always excellent lobster bisque which has large pieces of lobster. I had the salmon which is served over haricots verts with almonds and my friend had the 10 oz filet mignon which she had ordered medium and that is exactly how it was cooked. We shared a side dish called Sam’s potatoes which were wonderful and the Brussels sprouts which were equally good. Then we were treated to a complimentary dessert and flute of sparkling wine plus a rose and a thoughtful birthday card signed by the staff. Even the table was decorated with little bits of festive confetti- so fun. The attention to detail with the food and lovely customer service is why we return here whenever we can. I feel it is well worth the price.

I was staying at the Conrad Hilton hotel next door for a long weekend and I ate at the Capital Grille several times for breakfast and dinner. It was a great experience. The ambiance is upscale and cozy, the staff is friendly and professional, and the food was good. I'm not a red-meat eater but I stilled enjoyed dinners by choosing the roast chicken breast, the pear and gorgonzola salad, and the shrimp cocktail. Mint lemonade, coffee, and Riesling for drinks. Sorbet and strawberries with cream for desserts. Ate dinners at the bar. For breakfast I always got the smoked salmon and bagel and a side of strawberries. Nicole is a great server at breakfast, I remembered her from my previous visit several months ago. "Absolutely" is her usual reply to a request. I tend to drink a lot of coffee; it would be more convenient if they could just leave a pot at my table (I didn't make that request at the time). Wish they had french toast on the breakfast menu. This place is expensive but I enjoy it. And it's so convenient if you're staying at the Conrad.

Such a wonderful dining experience! The Capital Grille has created a comfortable atmosphere, provides such excellent service, and delivers delicious quality food. From the moment we walked in and checked in the evening felt special. I had made the reservation via OpenTable a week out and noted it was our Anniversary but wasn't anticipating the congratulations. After being greeted by the hostess we were promptly escored to our table. As we were being seated we saw a perfectly set table with a Happy Anniversary Card waiting on us. On the inside it was signed by what seemed like everyone that works there. Our server came by, introduced himself, and offered his congratulations as well. We started dinner with the bread basket which contained a variety of breads that were go good. I believe they are fresh from Valley Lahvosh. You can't get enough of these breads. The Chef sent out a little amuse-bouche for us both that was crisp and bright in flavor. It was fresh, flavorful, and colorful. It was a nice treat. We had the Lobster and Crab Cakes for our appetizer. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and I am not sure what else they put in it but it highlighted the taste of the lobster and crab. For dinner we both ordered the Dry Aged NY Strip that was tender and juicy, and cooked perfectly to our individual preferences. We had heard of other steakhouses, but this was beyond expectations. We also had a table side of the Au Gratin Potatoes. These are a definite must when you go. For dessert we were served the flourless chocolate espresso cake & the Capital Grille cheesecake. Happy Anniversary was stenciled in chocolate that appeared to be torched to the plate. Atmosphere, Service, Food, and the attention to detail surpassed all expectations. The anniversary card, the amuse-bouche, the two flutes of champagne, and desert were unexpected and provided the perfect extra touch to the evening. Everything was exquisite and if there was a 5+ or more rating they would achieve it. We also appreciated that all COVID safety precautions were in place and followed. Our compliments to the amazing Chef, and thank you to our amazing server and the staff for making this a nice and memorable anniversary dinner.

Our family and friends visited The Capital Grille to celebrate my daughter's 40th birthday. This restaurant's reputation has been solid but not so that evening. Our server was obviously busy elsewhere much of the time so our water glasses, drink orders and appetizer orders were not given much attention. In addition it was extremely loud, much like a cafeteria might be. It was definitely not an intimate setting. You literally had to yell to be heard. The food was quite good and met our high expectations but the atmosphere and wait time took away from the experience. We might try again another time but there are certainly other options.

Our food was good..seasoned nicely and yummy. We both had filets and shared mashed potatoes. I had the beet and greens salad. We had wine and shared a dessert. Our total cost was right at $200.00 What would have made us satisfied and repeat customers would have been attention to detail and better service at all levels. One of the servers was loudly talking it up with the table next to us. We asked the House Manager if we could be moved....she said that the other option was back by a group talking politics. For a table of 5, there was only bread basket with no refills. We had to ask for extra butter. We had to ask for the extra wine glasses to be removed. As well as refills on one of our guest drinking soda. At the time of day we were there, it was no where near capacity. The final insult was not having toilet paper and resorting to using the paper seat covers I did tell 2 employees that it needed attention. My opinion is Mgt needs to get in gear and stess crisp service. Good food is important but so is service. St Elmo's or Harry and Izzy's will be our next visit.

I was in town for 1 night and staying at the Conrad which adjoins to the Capital Grille so it was very convenient. I had made a reservation but wound up going solo so I went the host stand and explained. No issues and I just took a bar seat. 2 bartenders were there every polite. I’ll start by saying that at a restaurant of the caliber of Capital Grille my expectations are rather high and there is the price tag to go with it. Everything was very good. I ordered a drink to start, a Manhattan straight up. I’m a bit of stickler when it comes to cocktails, and manhattans need to be stirred not shaken. You never want a manhattan with froth it just drinks differently. That alone wouldn’t knock the review down to 4. For the food I started with the tuna tartar. Presented very nicely and was really good. I then had the NY Strip Au Poivre. Presentation perfect. The issue was a ordered med-rare and it was definitely rare. I was in a little bit of hurry so I didn’t say anything. In that situation I’m fine to eat a rare steak even though that isn’t my preference (more importantly not how I ordered it) and again at a Capital Grille I’m expected this to be cooked as ordered. I had a glass of wine with the meal. If I could I’d give 4.5/5 but between 4 and 5 I have to go 4. Mainly because of the steak, which did taste great, just undercooked. I realize the stir vs shake may cause some eye rolling but at Capital Grilled that’s what I’m expecting.

It's a pricey steakhouse, but the food is excellent. Very nice ambiance, wonderful service, and absolutely nothing to complain about. We had Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers to share which was wonderful. I had the Roasted Pear and Gorgonzola Salad with Walnut Vinaigrette which is really too big for a side salad. However, it was amazingly good. For my main course, I had Roasted Chicken Breast with Mushrooms and Parmesan Risotto, which was very flavorful. But with two large half-breasts of chicken and a huge mound of risotto was way too much food for one person. My adult stepson had the Filet Mignon which he loved. And my husband had the Seared Salmon with Heirloom Tomatoes, White Wine Butter and Lemon Basil Mosto, which he enjoyed. We also shared an order of Sam's Mashed Potatoes. I did have a taste and they were very good as well. No deserts for us, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our server, Kennon, was very pleasant and efficient.

I love The Capital Grille because they make every dining experience memorable and special. They have a wide range of steaks, seafood, salads, soups, and desserts that are cooked to perfection and served with flair. They also have a great wine list and a knowledgeable staff that can help you pair your food and drinks. The Capital Grille is the perfect place to celebrate or enjoy a romantic night out.

My wife and I recently celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary at the Capital Grille in Indianapolis. We were greeted very warmly by the restaurant host, assistant waiter and our outstanding waiter Michael. We both enjoyed our meals, my wife had the lamb chops, and I had the ribeye. Both entrees were excellent. Our sides of Brussel sprouts, Sam's mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese were also excellent. At the end of the meal, we were served a complimentary cheesecake and a chocolate cake in recognition of our anniversary.

Our server, Rick, was great! The restaurant has a nice upscale atmosphere. The food was not memorable. We had a party of 6 so we ordered a wide variety of foods and none of it was memorable. Probably won’t be back to this CG location.

While this is an excellent steak house, it does not do breakfast well. On my most recent visit it was understaffed and the “ovens were broken”. The result was that a limited menu became even more limited, and the understaffing meant that service was slow. The setting is nice, but I have now eaten here half a dozen times and this is a poor breakfast option.

In a city known for its excellent restaurants, this is a stand-out! I passed on the traditional entree choices to enjoy the cold seafood tower. It was extraordinary! Beautifully presented, everything fresh and perfectly prepared, with exquisite sauces. My Caesar salad was also perfect...the anchovies were fabulous. A few glasses of fantastic sparkling wine and a great piece of cheesecake later, an exceptional meal ended.

I had the citrus salmon with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. They were on a level all their own. My wife had the sliced filet it was very tender and in a class of its own. Her mushrooms and onions were delicious. The bread was artisans style and great. Our servers were nice and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean. Definitely a return to destination
