This is a very nice restaurant, perfect for many occasions. Based on previous positive experiences, we invited a group to join us for dinner 5PM on a Tuesday. The restaurant opens at 5 so when we arrived there was. no one there but us. By the time we left though, it was packed - nice for a Tuesday evening. The food is really good, everyone loved what they had. Server was friendly & helpful. My husband had the 9 oz filet for $44 & he loved it. He paired it with the 5 cheese Mac for $14. It was ok. I had the crab cake appetizer for my entree at $21. It is a very good crab cake. I also ordered the greek salad for $10. I asked them to hold the onions & if they wanted to add some extra feta that would be wonderful. They did add the extra feta but on my bill I was charged $3 for 'extra cheese'. Really? After we are spending over $100 for 2 meals, you need to charge me for cheese. I should have been advised of this when I ordered & given the option to then add it or not. That kind of soured the overall otherwise delightful & delicious experience. All 3 of our checks were incorrect so that took much longer than it should have to get them corrected. Only then was the extra cheese charge noticed. Manager & Owner stopped by to visit, which we all enjoyed!

I booked a private dinner for 10 to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. From the moment I contacted Tony's regarding this event, I received prompt, helpful and amazing customer service. Unlike some of the other locations I contacted where I was given a catering menu and told to choose from a set list, Tony's actually talked to me about my event and gave me suggestions on how to make it special. There are no words to express the level of customer service I received when planning this event. Keep in mind, this dinner was the first time I have ever dined at a Tony's location, and I was treated like my family and I had been coming to this restaurant for the last 20 years. I worked with Dana and Michael to set up this dinner, and they genuinely care about their customers having an exceptional time. They created a coursed tasting menu and paired it with fabulous wines. From the foie gras, to the perfectly fried oyster or the expertly prepared dover sole, and the herb rubbed lamb with lemon and fennel salad, each course was better than the next. The icing on the cake was the chocolate mousse for dessert - rich and creamy and perfectly light. The chef is truly a master. The owner happened to be in the restaurant that night and he came to our table to make sure everyone was having a good time. You can tell he cares about his customers and hires people that go above and beyond to make sure his guests have a memorable time. Our dining experience was beyond all expectations and from the food, to the service and the beautifully decorated room this is a night my husband and all in our party will never forget. Our group was blown away by this dinner and I am truly grateful for all Tony's did to make this night special. Although this was my first time dining at a Tony’s, it most certainly will not be my last time.

This was our first dining experience in Indianapolis since COVID restrictions started. The six of us are retired and live in Bloomington and we go to Indianapolis for dinners at nice restaurants. We have been to many of the other restaurants and decided to try Tony’s because they had excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. We were able to park in a garage next door to the restaurant with access to the restaurant without going outside. The restaurant was elegant with white tablecloths and the tables were not on top of each other. Our server, Alexander Williams was excellent. He said he had tried everything on the menu and would be happy to answer and questions or make recommendations. He also helped us narrow down our wine selections. Everyone had a steak or sea bass and we all thought our entrees were delicious and cooked just as we requested. Salads and oysters were very good. The sides we ordered were generous as Alexander told us they would be and big enough to share. The manager came to our table to see if everything was okay and visited with us a little while which was very nice. He told us about the owner and the other two restaurant locations. Our dining experience was not rushed and our water glasses were always filled as they were emptied. The creme brûlée was a perfect end to the meal. We have found our new favorite restaurant in Indianapolis and look forward to going back.

We dined at Tony's this past summer, and had a wonderful experience. This past Saturday 12/19/20 not so much. At Tony's to celebrate our son's college graduation. Just the three of us. An out of state family member had called the restaurant earlier in the day wanting to send a dessert or something to our table, was told they cant accept credit cards over the phone? Restaurant was not packed. We had a nice booth table. Server was just so so, (needed to ask for silverware when our food arrived, no offer to pepper our salads). For such a higher priced restaurant one would have expected such attention to detail! Server asked if we were celebrating something, we said a college graduation. Several times over the course of our meal we assume the GM (he never introduced himself) stopped at our table, "how's it going, what ya celebrating" so we told him. You think they would send a little dessert over to our table but no. That would have been a nice touch. We saw the owner of the restaurant walking around chatting it up with tables.....No Mask! That was very surprising. So the food was good, it's pricey, so one would think the service would be much better. To end the experience, we valet parked, somehow the valet had startled my wife and son as he was running around our vehicle and another one. He did apologize. Over all we left full, about $400 poorer and rather disappointed.

I have eaten at Tony’s numerous times and chalked up my last meal there over the summer to simply being short staffed. Unfortunately a return visit there simply reinforced my prior visit that the quality of food and service has simply gone into decline. Our server was slow in her efforts and it was 15 minutes from when my way over cooked steak was delivered to our table before she came back to see the issues. A second steak was delivered which was clearly rushed that it was burned and dry. The tuna appetizer continues to be spot on and is a must try. The sea bass that was ordered was flavorless and Luke warm but again, the server was not present. Bill was $600 for the four of us without my steak being charged so it is pricey and my last two experiences here left me surprised as how such a fantastic place when it opened, is now a shadow of its old self.

Every year for our anniversary my husband and I switch pick a restaurant to go to. These last few years it’s been like a competition to see who can choose the better restaurant. This year I won! We have been to several of the top name steakhouses in Indy and while all of them are good, we loved Tony’s. The steak I could cut with a fork, nice and seared on the top and bottom perfectly cooked medium on the inside. The sides were great as well. We loved the wedge salad. The atmosphere was great, I hate going to to a nice restaurant only to be met with an obnoxiously loud atmosphere, that was not the case here. Our server Chris was amazing and knowledgeable and the busser; unfortunately we didn’t get his name was great as well. The manager stopped by to wish us a happy anniversary and to chat a bit. Overall it was a greatly great experience. We also received a complimentary cremè brûlée cheesecake which was to die for because it was our anniversary. All in all this is at the top of our list to get steak in Indy!

A month ago my daughter and I were in Indy and visited Tony's. The food was fabulous! The shrimp in their shrimp cocktail were enormous. Their short ribs were the best I ever had. The New York shortcake was outstanding. Matthew our waiter explained dishes to us and helped us pick out our wines, he was so very pleasant. A month later when I was visiting my daughter again in Lafayette we drove 62 miles to Tony's for another amazing dinner. This time Alexander waited on us and he gave us the perfect amount of expert attention. Arriving just when we needed him but not bothering. He was terrific!

I had a great solo dinner here back in June 2022 before heading back to California via Amtrak. As someone who grew up in Indy going to the "famous" steakhouse down the street, it was nice to see another downtown and just as delicious - if not better. I sat at the bar and enjoyed the charming conversation with the bar staff and also met a really cool couple that I ended up sharing drinks and laughs with. I started with a glass of prosecco (would have rather seen Champagne available by the glass, honestly, or a nice California sparkler like Roederer. I've come to accept Indiana is prosecco country!) which was OK. I had a half bottle of Duckhorn Merlot for dinner, which always hits the spot. For a starter, I had the HUGE crabcake - largest I've ever had! Pure crab and no filler. For my entree, I asked the bartender if a petite filet was available (it's not on the menu) and he went to the kitchen and asked the Chef is a small cut was available - it was! My steak was perfectly medium rare with a side of yummy fried onions. I also enjoyed mashed potatoes with it. Tony's is a beautiful restaurant and well worth the visit for business, special occasions, or a "treat yo'self" dinner. I'll be back when visiting Indy again.

My review will be the 129th one. Out of all of those, this will be their 115th five star review so that should tell you something. I mean this completely when I say that this was one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. Period. We had reservations for 8 of us late at night on a Thursday night and the entire restaurant was full. We were brought to a beautiful private room. I don't know how we lucked out in getting that, but it made an excellent experience even better. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. We ordered several appetizers, all of which were great. One of the appetizers was shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were literally the largest shrimp I've ever seen. With it was a cocktail sauce that had a lot of horseradish sauce in it. Apparently this is a regional thing to have extra horseradish in it but I will say of all the restaurants we ate at that week, this was the tamest one. If you don't like it tame, it comes with an additional ramekin of horseradish. I don't know if it's specifically because we ordered shrimp or that's just what they do after appetizers, but they gave us each a plate with a warm/damp towel and a lemon wedge on it to cleanse our hands. Everybody in the group ordered a steak and they all loved it. I was the outlier and ordered veal which was just wow. I'm shaking my head writing this just thinking about how good it was. The eye appeal on everything was perfect. We had several sides for the table as well, all of which were wonderful. We all had numerous rounds of drinks which were good. We all ordered dessert too which we shouldn't have but were all glad we did because it was all delicious. This is a fancy restaurant so obviously it's expensive, but the experience and quality of food you get is well worth the money. If you need a restaurant for an anniversary, to propose, to impress, a birthday, anything fancy, please do yourself a favor and eat here. Just make sure you make a reservation plenty of time in advance so you can get in. Thank you, Tony's, for an incredible experience!

Our kids all had life events to acknowledge who we adjoined to Tony’s to celebrate. Had not been here before and were really blown away with the experience. There service was really great. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We all had different types of steaks to try the most variety. The grain fed won the flavor contest. The appetizers and sides were all great. Nice cocktail and wine program too. Thanks Tony!

First timers, I took my son and his wife for his birthday. We were running a bit late and my son was concerned that we might lose our reservation. We pulled up to the restaurant and they had valet parking. Problem solved and it was very reasonable. The restaurant was very open and airy. The menu had enough choices to please all of us. The food was so delicious. They brought out wet hot cloths with lemon after our mussel appetizer. We had a wonderful time and we look forward to going back many times.

The meal started with a crab cake that was unequaled by another. It was more of a crab hay mound! For dinner we had salads, filet mignon and one had shrimp. Mouthwatering and served to perfection. The filet practically melted in your mouth. While we were eating the owner and managers came by to make sure we were being properly cared for. What a nice touch! On Friday and Saturday evenings there is a small jazz trio that performs a variety of jazz and contemporary songs to set the mood for the dining experience.

I decided to go to Tony's based on online reviews during the Gallaher Grand Prix weekend. Our sever, Bill, greeted us warmly and explained everything on the menu. He was very attentive but not obtrusive. Michael, the manager, came by and spoke with us as well. He was extremely nice and helpful for us making future reservations at Tony's. Now on to the food. We started with the Mussels. The Mussels came out in an absolutely huge pot and were paired excellently with a tomato based broth and chorizo sausage. We couldn't finish the whole thing. My wife got the short ribs with horseradish potatoes, and I got the 22 ounce bone-in ribeye. The short ribs were a large portion with enough potatoes for us to share. The short ribs were perfectly cooked, tender and made for a great second day meal. The ribeye was probably if not the best steak I have ever had out. Cooked medium to release more of the marbling into the meat made the flavoring incredible. Again, there was enough for a second day meal. We passed on dessert due to the large portions. To top the evening off there was a jazz combo playing which was very good and just the right volume. A wonderful evening of great and friendly service, great wine, great music and incredible food all made for a very memorable experience. Thank you Tony's of Indianapolis!

I have frequented Tony's since they opened over 3 years ago. I have taken countless business associates, friends, family and dates to the restaurant. I have attended and hosted several "special occasion" dinners, as well. There is no match to the service, quality of food and wine selection in downtown Indy. Payton, at the main bar upstairs, has waited on me/us since day one. Her personality, charm and ability to make everyone feel like they are the most important customer of the night is unmatched. Ask for bar seating and ask for Payton! She is the most tenured staff member and just a joy! Also, the little band in the bar section is a great bonus! Crab cakes!! You have not had anything better!! A large portion and just delicious!! The filet, salmon and sides are equally delicious (Brussel sprouts)! The cheesecake is a great take on a simple dessert that is worth a try. If you are a wine drinker, the selection is wonderful! By far my favorite spot in Indy!! I love to introduce my friends, business associates and family to this venue every chance I get!

Dined at Tony’s twice during a recent visit to Indy. First night was dinner with a friend. Food and service were so fabulous we spoke to the GM Peyton about bringing our larger group for an early dinner the next evening. He was great got us in and out in time for the game. Tables were spaced safely. All staff were wearing masks. The service and food were excellent (the grilled Caesar is delish, polenta cake is a must try!). Tre kept our drinks full and switched the TV to accommodate our basketball requests! We will definitely be back next weekend.
