This was our first visit to the area and Cordoba was on our list. My husband and I only had a day so the best thing we did was do a private tour. Elena was fantastic: we met just outside the Giralda tower then proceeded to do a walking tour of the area (since an event was just wrapping up at the church). She gave us the history of the town and took us to all the important sites: old Jewish area, old synagogue, artisan shops (we asked to see authentic/traditional Cordobam crafts and small family owned and run businesses). She delivered! Fascinating to see 4th generation artisan make filigree jewelry and another for leather goods. Our last stop was amazing: the mosque-Cathedral. She gave us a comprehensive history and pointed out the important architectural elements. She also knows the exact spots in where to get the best photos! Would highly recommend Elena!

The beautiful streets and patios, the mosque, a small but perfect synagogue, and monuments around the city. It was more like exploring Cordoba with a local friend - Elena immediately makes you feel welcome. It was such a fun and informative few hours, and really made our trip! I booked the tour because i know i needed to learn more about the history of this magnificent place and she did wonders!!! Honestly the history and the way she engaged with the tour was breathtaking! I even for once forgot to take pictures and just listened to elena! So my advice is, make sure u dont forget to take pictures and enjoy the stories! Cos she can mesmerize you 😊 Would recommend this tour again and again!!
