My specialties include anxiety, sex therapy, career counseling, ADHD/neurodivergence, and women's issues.
As human beings, we know life has a way of creating challenges we can find difficult to face on our own. I firmly believe each of us possess fundamental inner-strengths that can not only help us cope with these challenges, but flourish and thrive together. My goal as a therapist is to come alongside clients in a compassionate nonjudgmental stance to help identify your strengths and how to translate them into meaningful growth within yourself and in your relationships. I value using a mind/body approach and a warm, relational atmosphere in therapy. I am LGBTQIA+-affirming, trauma-informed, sex-positive, kink and poly-friendly.

I have supported and guided young adults struggling with career options, managing anxiety and feelings of depression.
I am a bilingual and bi-cultural therapist who values the strength of a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. You might feel overwhelmed with finding a therapist if you are already feeling stuck. It can be hard to find someone to disclose your feelings to a "new person" during your time of vulnerability. My warm, empathetic, and non-directive approach has helped those new to therapy feel comfortable disclosing their most difficult emotions and experiences. My approach is collaborative, where I can guide you to find the right tools to feel in control of your life again.

Career: Everyone has exceptional natural aptitudes.
Accepting new clients. Many scientists are rethinking the belief that depression and anxiety are caused by dysregulation of brain chemistry. The cause, they think, is adversity, and it can be better treated by therapy that teaches people how to deal with their circumstances. That adversity takes many forms – narcissistic, abusive, inattentive or addicted parents, traumatic events, and childhood bullying are all examples. I use evidence-based practices that will produce the improvements you want in your life. You and I will find and address your distress. My approach is to strike a balance between being empathic and directive.

Greetings! It’s great to have you here! Look, reaching out for help and starting therapy is a daunting process. If you’re here it means you are searching for someone to help you through a difficult time. No one calls my office or emails me because everything is “perfect.” Typically, my clients are facing major burnout, compassion fatigue, work/career issues, relationship crisis, and a spattering of problems like anxiety, depression, weight gain, and attention and concentration concerns. The good news is that I have worked with them all – and each one, you included, brings something unique and impressive to the work that I do: You.

I also bring a background in Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, which I integrate into my work with clients seeking career counseling support.
A common myth is that we need to be in “crisis” to seek therapy, but folks at any level could benefit. Maybe things are good but not great. Maybe you could use a safe, confidential space to unload or get an unbiased view. Maybe the ways you’ve been trying haven’t produced satisfying results. Maybe you’re unsure why you feel stuck or struggle to articulate feelings. Maybe you’re questioning your purpose in career or life. Maybe you know what you want but lack the confidence or motivation to follow through.

Therapy is a healthy resource. Everyone needs an objective, non-judgmental person to talk with in a confidential and warm environment. Sometimes you feel something is not quite right, but you can't put your finger on it. Other times, you know exactly what it is. Either way, telling your story can help figure things out by identifying your patterns of thought, behavior and emotions. Are any of them getting in the way? Together we discover the obstacles to achieving a stronger sense of well-being. Most importantly, we figure out how you can remove obstacles to leading a happier, more authentic life.

I pursued a career in therapy because I believe that holistic healing is possible. Taking care of your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellness, enables you to take care of others, and live a life of joy. With a background in the arts, storytelling, and visual media, I integrate the power of story in the narrative of your life, past present and future. Where are you right now? How has right now been impacted by your past, and what is a vision and purpose for who you want to be? What do you want your life to look like in the future? We can work on all this together.

Career Counseling Therapists

How do I know if I need career counseling?

Determining whether a career counselor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counseling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counselor.

Who can benefit from career counseling?

Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counseling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counseling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counselor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counseling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counseling typically last?

The length of career counseling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking. Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counseling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counselor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counseling?

Clients can prepare for career counseling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counselor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counselor, particularly if the career counselor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counseling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
