Call 911 immediately if there is an ongoing emergency or if you need to report an imminent threat or life-endangering situation.

Report an Incident

NYU is committed to the well-being and safety of our community. Unfortunately, sometimes incidents occur, and NYU encourages prompt reporting.

Please review the Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and Complaint Procedures for Students and the Sexual Misconduct, Relationship Violence, and Stalking Policy for additional resources.

Confidentiality

Sometimes, students may wish to share information and seek advice from individuals at NYU who will keep the information they are sharing confidential. However, many NYU employees are legally required by law to report certain kinds of incidents that are disclosed to them by students.  Additional information about Confidentiality and Privacy and to find out which resources are — or not — confidential (such as NYU religious centers and chaplains, the Wellness Exchange, and Crisis Response Counselors) can be found on the Resource and Support page.
