Summer Journalism at NYU

Whether you’re a seasoned reporter or just starting out, NYU Journalism will bring you into the fast-paced, shifting world of multimedia journalism. You will take courses with the world-class faculty at NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, learn new techniques, and sharpen your skills. You will also have the opportunity to publish your work.  

Steinhardt Music and Performing Arts Professions

From jazz to music technology, dance to vocal performance, The NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development offers students a chance to participate in its varied and exciting music and performing arts courses and workshops.

Writers in New York

Spend the summer writing with NYU's world-class faculty. In this intensive 4-week program, you will focus on poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction as you participate in daily writing workshops and craft sessions. Summer at PALA: Revolutionize Your Communication Practices with AI

The NYU SPS Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts offers a two-week certificate program at New York University, combining traditional writing techniques with AI technologies to enhance communication skills. Participants learn fundamental writing, research, and presentation methods alongside AI platforms like ChatGPT and Bard. The program emphasizes using AI for critique and improvement, with in-person instruction, hands-on AI practice, and mentoring from Dr. Stephen J. McConnell.
