Students

Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to the NYU Card Center by calling (212) 443-2273 and selecting option 1, or by visiting the Campus Safety lobby located at 7 Washington Place at Washington Square or the NYU Card Center at 2 MetroTech in Brooklyn.

Replacement cards may be obtained at the lobby from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is a $25 fee to replace your NYUCard, which, for students, is billed directly to their Bursar Accounts. Students who need to replace a lost NYUCard will have the lost card fee billed directly to their Bursar Accounts. You must submit a form of identification (i.e. State Driver's License, State Photo ID, or Passport) in order to receive your new NYUCard.

If your card is stolen and you obtain a police report (or incident information slip) indicating that your card has been reported stolen (and not simply "lost"), the fee can be waived. The police report must be presented at the time that the new card is issued in order to be considered for a fee waiver.

If you need assistance after regular business hours, day passes are available at NYU Campus Safety's 561 LaGuardia Place location. Cards will not be printed or disseminated after business hours.
