😍 Well, this is my favorite #partnership so far! Drawing on research by Ashleigh Shelby Rosette, LinkedIn and Dove have joined forces to raise awareness about hair discrimination. Why? Because... ❌ Black women are more likely to be viewed as unprofessional and less competent when they style their hair naturally. ❌ Organizations still have "color blind" dress codes that explicitly forbid hairstyles typically seen on black people, leading to a color-conscious result. ❌ People of African descent worldwide (not just in the U.S.) experience #bias because of their hair. ✔ #BlackHairIsProfessional. I'm honored that one of my courses (link below in comments) is in the company of great authors including Stacey A. Gordon, MBA, Vernā Myers, Arianna Huffington, Mary-Frances Winters, Dr. Shirley Davis, Tara Jay Frank, Jodi-Ann Burey, Dr. Tana M. Session, Christie LindorRosanna Durruthy, and Teuila Hanson! #inclusion #diversity #leadership
