Sweet and proud moment for me in Copenhagen yesterday as my daughter Alex took a turn at the podium in the WAN-IFRA, the World Association of News Publishers World News Congress hall ahead of the start of the conference today. She wanted to know what her mom sees when I am on stage. ☺️ And sitting in the WAN-IFRA board meeting this morning I am so happy to see a room full of women. We have a new female president in Ladina Heimgartner. The first woman in the role! What a change from my early days in this organisation - and huge credit due to the executive board for committing to this vital rebalancing. FT Strategies have a great team at the conference: please come to our booth to talk about Next Gen News and the FT Professional booth to say hi. 👋 And our FT Group CEO John Ridding is talking at 9am Tuesday morning - don't miss it. Wonderful post Lisa. Alex has a brilliant role model who inspires so many people and especially women to reach for the stars. Here’s to you. Have an excellent conference.
Nice to meet! Will the slides from your excellent presentation be available?
She’s a champ just like her mum ❤️- have a great conference!
Love this! She's lucky to have you. Strong, successful person in the making 😊
So adorable. She stands on the shoulders of giants. Wishing her good health and the very best for her future plans.
Thanks for always truly supporting other women Lisa < 3
Love everything about this post ❤️ Have a great conference and hopefully catch up soon x
Your support has meant a lot to me in the past. You are a great example of women championing women. Alex has a great example to look to!
What a beautiful picture! Lisa you have inspired so many women. All the best for this conference.

1moLove this! I must have been around your daugther’s age when my mum took me to a world congress. I got to see how people from across the world actively engaged in conversation at dinner, plus all adults were incredibly sweeet to me (possibly the only child in attendance!). I’m sure this memory will stay with Alex for a long time!
