Valley Industrial Association of Illinois and Greater Chicago Advanced Manufacturing Partnership put on a fantastic golf outing this week! The Village of Hoffman Estates was excited to start a manufacturing workforce pipeline with #GCAMP in 2013 and we are thrilled to still support it as it grows with VIA! Keep up the good work, Dawn Curran, CFRE and team! Thanks to Eric Palm and Trustee Gary Stanton for supporting and playing, even with my above par play! And thanks Calvin Cornish, CEM for jumping in with us last minute. And look who appeared out on the 18th hole! #KevDoll! Thanks Bill Winsininski, CDCP for stopping by and bringing out Kev.

Thrilled to be celebrate the project kickoff for Compass Datacenters in the Village of Hoffman Estates on the former Sears campus! The unique pouring out of gravel to represent a committment to recycling and reusing as much of the building was brilliant and fun and different! I loved it! We love data centers and celebrate them as the infrastructure of the future, the new highways that connect us all! Chris Crosby, Gil C. Quiniones, Kyle T. Schulz (very kind of you to give a shoutout), and Mayor Bill McLeod thank you for all the effort and investment to make the Village, the region and the state a great place for businesses to grow and thrive!

The deadline is fast approaching to submit your cool, awesome, noteworthy project that may be grandiose or super simple but effective for an International Economic Development Council (IEDC) Excellence in Economic Development Award! I was honored to win one last year for Real Estate Redevelopment and Reuse for the Bell Works Chicagoland Project. It was our first time submitting and well worth it. BONUS: There's a first-timers fee for those who are planning to submit a project for the first time or who haven't submitted in the past 4 years! #IEDCAwards
