Today is a great day in the State of Illinois, as the U.S. Economic Development Administration has selected the Illinois iFAB Tech Hub for phase 2 implementation funding for approximately $51 million! Chissell and team about the North Lawndale Project that came out of the grid modernization workshop last year! “In disadvantaged and underserved communities, many times residents, who tend to be African American and Hispanic assume that they do not have control over power outages. In fact, many have accepted that it is what it is, when that is simply not true. According to an AICPA report, only 2% of all U.S. Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are Black. Furthermore, Black accountants make up 1% of partners in accounting firms, whereas 91% of accounting firm partners identify as white. Happy Monday LinkedIn! As more clean energy programs roll out from the #InflationReductionAct, many clients and grantees are interested in how to leverage federal dollars for solar. On April 22, 2024, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced 60 selectees to receive $7 billion in grant awards through the Solar for All (SFA) grant competition to deliver residential solar projects to over 900,000 households nationwide. Excited to officially join the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce Emerging Leaders Council!
