Why taking care of yourself IS taking care of your kids Your child watches everything you do and learns from it. They see how you take care of yourself, even if it's not something you talk about. They'll follow your lead. Imagine if your child always put others first, neglecting their own happiness. Wouldn't that be heartbreaking? Teach them self-care by doing it yourself. Show them how to live so they can do the same. — Repost ♻️ to celebrate self-care, and follow me Gale Ruttanaphon for more insights. Thanks!

Agree 100 %. BUT it's also possible to create the habit of healthy lifestyle, exercise and eating right, as well as creating mental health, even without that example. I didn't have the example growing up. I didn't work out. I didn't eat right. And I didn't have a healthy mindset. As a young adult I realized aerobic activity helped my brain activity. I noticed the endorphin release, and even though getting to the gym was hard, once I was there and moving, (a good workout playlist helps) I noticed I was feeling better, and problems were disappearing, even if just for the time I was at the gym. I didn't know what it was at the time, but I knew I liked the way I felt. Then I liked the changes I saw in my physical health, which led to hitting the gym more frequently. Then started the healthy cycle. I have also experienced the challenges of falling away from that healthy lifestyle (injuries and other health problems). It's not as easy to (re) start that healthy lifestyle since I'm not 18. In both cases Consistency is the key. A little bit each day, walking, aerobics, pickleball, etc. Walking outside in the sun and nature is proven to help mental and physical health. Gale Ruttanaphon, I don't have data for this, but maybe you do.
