We had an enjoyable and productive week visiting with Flipkart, PhonePe, Walmart Global Tech India, and sourcing teams in India. Their momentum is tangible and our future looks bright. It was motivating to see how they’re innovating to deliver for our customers and members around the world as well as our customers, marketplace sellers, and small businesses across India. Way to go, everyone! Thank you all!

We’re still feeling the energy from meeting so many associates last week. It’s clear that around the world you’re making a difference, accomplishing extraordinary things, and helping our communities with the products and support they need. Shoutout to the Marketplace Product Team, who are making a ton of progress, improving the shopping experience for our customers and Walmart+ members. Way to go, everyone!

Tony Gonino, Market Manager for Market 197, has been recognized with our company’s highest honor – the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. During our Associate Celebration last week, we took the opportunity to celebrate him, meet his family, and say “thank you” for the positive impact he’s made in his community. Over the past year, Tony has partnered with our merchants and suppliers to make sure his stores best represent what our customers want and need. As a result, the product assortment is relevant, and the prices are great. Thank you, Tony, for your hard work and dedication. Your community is better off because you and our associates are there. Way to go!

We’re incredibly grateful to Rob Walton for leading and being part of our Board of Directors for over 40 years. Rob's been there since the beginning, working with his dad Sam at the 5&10, and has helped shape many of the most important moments in our history. His leadership has been a vital part of Walmart’s success. It’s Associates Week and, as always, our international associates are bringing their energy to Northwest Arkansas. This is going to be a fun week and we can’t wait to meet and spend time with associates from around the world. See you soon!

This weekend our home of Northwest Arkansas was hit with some strong storms. Now, our number one priority is supporting our associates and community. I'm so thankful for all our associates who have stepped up to help, like Al, Jen, Rickey, Joe, and everyone else pitching in to serve hot meals to our friends and neighbors today. I also appreciate Hollie and the team from the Neighborhood Market 3654 in Rogers for their hard work, and our partnership with Tyson Foods. Thank you, all!

Associates, we’re off to a great start to the year. You all are making things happen and generating strong results! The combination of your friendly service, our low prices and convenient shopping options are driving our customers and members to choose us.   We have the opportunity to have another great year. Thank you for all you’re doing to serve our customers and support each other.

Our associates in South Africa were such an inspiration this week! We’re proud of their commitment to our customers and each other as they bring our purpose to life. We’re especially excited for Phozisa to visit the U.S. next month for Associates Week where she will be receiving the Integrity in Action Award, one of our highest honors awarded to associates who demonstrate exceptional integrity. Great job!
