In simplest terms, the assignment was this: analyze a parcel of land actively being marketed for sale and propose a “highest and best use” based on financial feasibility and community impact. Throughout the semester, my team and I diligently worked on multiple iterations that led us to “The Northside Enclave”, a transformational, mixed-use, transit-oriented, community that would completely activate the Miami Northside neighborhood and kickstart its gentrification process. A labor of love, the Northside Enclave straddles the Metrorail, boasting 462 workforce housing units, a technical college satellite campus, and a neighborhood café.
