Over Tuesday and Wednesday I was lucky enough to attend Media360 - a fantastic event, huge congrats to everyone involved!
The overarching theme for this year was ‘Risk’:
*Most interpreted 'risk' as stepping outside conventional methods, trying something different, and challenging the status quo.
**There's a continued focus on data strategies in preparation for a cookieless future, so brands are open to new and innovative data solutions. However, brands often find the nitty-gritty details off-putting. They want to see solutions that work without necessarily needing to understand the technicalities.
***Moving away from standardisation towards personalisation and unconventional creativity is crucial for garnering attention, with a longing for the 'good old days' of bold and bonkers ideas (think Cadbury’s Gorilla, etc.).
I have linked a number of highlights from my perspective, however one standout highlight came in 'The Big AI Debate' - in which one of the presenters declared he ‘couldn't be bothered to do his presentation’ so he handed the brief over to AI alongside an unconnected 15 second sample video clip of himself - the results were a chilling 1 minute presentation that is linked in the doc (apols for my video skills!) - of course, he was merely showing us the reality of what can be achieved and the whole panel was incredibly insightful.
