People in general, well experienced and educated are trying to find a job and keep on to fulfill daily needs. There isn’t much of a choice to determine, whether you can alter a job culture. Playing that game would probably accelerate your path of loosing the job. The interviewer, recruiter, company are the ones controlling the whole dynamic. It becomes a fake narrative, both sides presenting their best side. With all due respect, my learned lesson is to be ethical, cooperative and provide the best job you can. Learn to adjust to the job situation, be dependable, flexible and reliable to the task. Having receptive management hardly ever happens. You will find working colleagues with issues (toxic) anywhere. The aforementioned is reality and not blue unicorns flying above. Thank you.
As for your direct leaders or mentors, maybe that's what you would be like after 5 years
So on point. Work with colleagues that inspire you, share your values, and operate within a community that holds a shared purpose and common equitable goals.
Very well said! A healthy work culture is where employees feel valued, safe, comfortable, and flush with opportunity for growth. It leads to satisfied employees and an increased productivity Choose the workplace where success comes from making others successful! You deserve to be happy at work!
I think that's very true. It's generally pretty easy to identify the best people in your profession or industry. These are the people that you want to surround yourself with. These are the people that you can learn from. They can help you to grow professionally, simply by their example, or by them actively sharing their insights with you. So, to be surrounded by the best and brightest, I think that you have the following options: 1) You can work at the same company they do, 2) You can join the same professional associations that they belong to, 3) Or better yet, work as well as network with the very best people in your profession or industry.
