Here's how you can navigate resistance to change when introducing new technology to your organization.
What I have learned is that, when planning for change, you must know your team very well in order to adequately prepare for any obstacles that will arise along the way. I know which members of my team will struggle with technology changes, and which ones will roll with the punches. I know which of my team members are tech-savvy and which ones will need more support. This knowledge is crucial to creating a well-thought-out plan for implementing technological changes.

Providing adequate support is absolutely crucial to success when implementing new technology. When my team transitioned to a new electronic medical records system, we embedded superusers into various departments who hosted "lunch and learns" and provided 1:1 support as needed. Knowing that a resource within the home department existed and was readily available helped to reduce anxiety about the change.

Here's how you can discover your career interests through internships in Program Coordination.
Find someone within your organization in the position you want to be in. Your current supervisor/manager may be able to help you identify someone. Reach out to them to gain valuable insights into program coordination and how to achieve success. Even an informal mentorship relationship can be beneficial.
